hmm, you might have changed my mind about this now, I can see lots of uses for it, 800seems a lot but some good office chairs are much more, still too much for me, if it was £500 I might have been in.
As a seated and physically disabled VR player this looks AMAZING and now NEEDED! Hard to find good chairs that have flexibility needed and range of motion for VR gameplay!
@@HylianAngler I’m a disabled VR player as well and have to play seated. This would make things so much better for gameplay! Maybe they would give us a discount if we all bought one! 🙏🏼
As someone who plays seated 95% of the time, this is the most practical version of this type of VR accessory I've seen to date. Still too expensive though.
I have the original. and its worth it. You totally get your moneys worth out of it and then some. its VR on the next level. Trust me, I am an experienced user of the RotoVR. I have had the original one since 2021. I won't play anything without it.
Agreed. Even at like $499, it would still be a stretch for me to justify, but I would probably consider it. If it's really well made, I can see why it's so much money, but still more than I am willing to pay.
@@kevinmach730 it looks much better than how I play seated but mines already pretty good because my office chair leans, spins and has armrests that fold back
Being a disabled VR gamer, I currently have no choice but to sit down to play. Playing in my wheelchair has quite a few disadvantages though and often restrictive with movement. Something like this seems ideal! Maybe when I'm a big enough content creator like you I will be able to afford it 😅👍Great video dude
That's a cool tech. I bought a really cheap rotating chair with adjustable height and a slightly heavy base. I use it for shooting games and other stuff all the time.
I have had the original Roto VR for a long time. It is the best VR accessory ever. I would recommend trying out Subnautica or even a simple game like Population one with it. The flight suit is amazing with it. I have my new one on order and can't wait for it to arrive.
"Final Destination scenario..." Oh my God, Matteo, you made me laugh out loud! 😂 The chair does sound pretty interesting, but yeah, that price for an accessory approaches eye-watering territory. Then again, with my (possibly) soon-to-be surgeried right knee, and my sister's disabilities that force her to do most things while seated, which has definitely effected how much she can enjoy VR, this still might be something we could use, if we pool our pennies. Thanks for a great discussion; we'll definitely be checking this out further.
I've been waiting for this one! Personally I don't have motion sickness very often as I always play standing up and physically rotate instead of using the controllers for the camera. But I have several friends that just dont have the space to pull that off. Will be sharing this video regularly I feel.
Can you imagine using this chair playing the gun turret on the bomber plane in Medal of honor ! I should say that some of my most immersive experiences has been due to sitting down playing because its less demanding.
Nice!! You really convinced me that this is a good product. I was curious about it. But you're right, the price is definitely the downside. There's other things I'd rather glhave for that price right now.
Here's a neat idea you can suggest to the company. How about a standing up version for us who prefer to stand. I'm imagining some kind of platform you stand on with some kind of support system on the back of the unit (in back of the player) that probably goes around your waist to keep you from falling. And just like the chair, the platform spins while you turn your head.
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 You know what would be kinda funny. If the unit knows your tipping over, and quickly spins you 180 degrees to cancel the downward momentum. 🤣But more practically, I agree, a heavy base on wheels perhaps. Perhaps the ability to add your own weights.
@@Gamingwithmatteo311thanks so much for your coverage. We are delighted. They have a standing VR system, the Omni One, but it’s an entire game system with the headset but extremely expensive compared to this. I can see your idea being great as just the standing accessory without an entire game system. The only problem I see as others have mentioned is the base not being heavy enough since you’re not sitting your body weight is all over the place.
I really love your idea about a charing dock, where you could just hang the hmd and controllers on the chair in a nice display, with all accessories. That would really make a much more seemless plug n play experience and a nice display as well! I really hope they'll do that. If they do all that, I'll probably sell my katvr and get this instead.
it's a good option for those that have limited space to do full motion and if they have a little more space they can swing and not worry about leaving there play area.
To be honest. I just bought a chair like that without motorization to be able to have my hands free and seat, but be able to 360 degree turn ... that alone is much better. Especially if you have not so much space. You just seat at one position and thats it. You can do everything. Dunno if I would need a motorized version of it.
Interesting. I've never heard of this thing before thanks for sharing. The wheel and gas pedal Edition sounds like something I might be interested in depending on the price and features
Playing seated is just how some of us have to play due to physical disability. Honestly though, VR is one of my favorite ways to explore the places the physical limitations would otherwise keep me from.
that’s great for disabled folk, but for anyone reading this that is interested in the product for the reasons he mention- lemme put you on something A rotating, height-adjustable, cushioned stool chair. Armless, and backless. I got mine from IKEA, but could not for the life of me find it on the online store just now (sorry) Just using my feet to easily swivel around, I never use in-game turning anymore. I can lean in all directions. I’m not restricted from accessing my in-game belt or back items, and I can lean over to pick up or interact with things on the floor. Unlike the product in the video, you can look wherever you need to without being turned in that direction. I use my chair over standing most of the time, because my office is small and the chair keeps me in the center of my playspace, and helps me with not punching my monitor and shelves (though sometimes I find myself leaning hella hard and still punching things 😂)
This is a great in-between for people like myself who want a motion chair but don't have the space for a normal one. DAMN I might have to get this as a Christmas gift to myself.
This is pretty cool! I just wish they'd make a foot controller for loco motion as well, so you don't have to use the sticks on the controllers at all. That would up the immersion even more, since it feels was more natural to use your feet, in some sort of way, to move back and forth.
I am an over 50 yr old gamer, well I am 60 and I normally play using my gamer chair, I can spin around but it's a pain to move, no wheels, but I do like the cup holder, which this does not have, I can live w/o one. I do like this but the price is a bit much. My knees ain't bad, I just hate standing lol. Will there be a price drop
This is actually a great idea. Out of my price range tbh, but I'd definitely pick it up if it was closer to like half of the current price, that's just me though.
Just got a quest 3 and this channel’s already living at the top of my RUclips feed. honestly, I don’t think I’m gonna get that chair, but I just want to feed the algorithm and make sure you stay at the top of my feed.
I like the added cardio of standing up and moving around myself.. Which is one the awesome benefits of VR gaming. But this should be great for disabled players.
To be honest with you, standing in vr gets old fast. I usually only play for about an hour because it just gets physically tiring after I worked all day and come home to game. But at $800, idk man, thats a lot.
A good highback swiveling bar stool has been my buddy since the beginning. I'm about at standing height, can easily jump off into standing in a heartbeat in thick of the action... But I don't do VR much lately
Matteo, thank you for sharing this. It really is cool. I agree the $800 is going to be too much for me at this point. I'd rather not pay for rumble either. I am curious to see what they add for racing/space sim support. That would become more compelling.
I play mainly on my PSVR2 so it's a no go on that platform. I was considering a Quest 3 when I saw the new Batman game coming out. With the addition of this chair, it's becoming even more tempting.
I play 90% of games on a barstool. It's keeps my in a taller more upright position. It's the best of both worlds.. No armrests to deal with and I'm kind of in a half standing position. And one kick and I whip around 180 very quickly.
I like to play in a seared position. I use a cheap office chair without armrests and i swivel around using my feet. If this chair was half the price I'd definitely buy one. The ability to charge while playing and not have deal with the cord would be awesome.
damn I was patiently waiting for you to say the price tag and was hoping for closer to 300-400 smh. I totally get it as i'd honestly prefer a great build quality and full fledged product than some half ass concept, but damn I can't get it quite yet. Excited to see how they continue to push this because this seems really fuckin cool!
I use a office chair with whells that turns 360º with my feets. Thats already perfect for my FPS games. No need to auto turn the chair with this good for nothing device. I will never spend my money with this thing. Sorry. Although I am a great fan of your channel! Keep showing us this things! 🤟
hmm i wonder how this works in games like no man's sky because it's both walking and flying and it doesn't make sense for the chair to move directions depending where you are looking whilst inside a vehicle does the input change if you're in or outside a vehicle? even whilst walking, sometimes you just want to look around, and having this thing move around would be distracting. maybe there's a dedicated button to turn it on or off? there's a reason why software is needed sometimes..
Sorry I'm not trying to be negative, but how much of a benefit does this have over a swivel chair or bar stool? Is the difference that with a bar stool I'd turn myself using my legs, but with this a motor is doing it instead? Also, can you walk in one direction but be looking in another?
For me, I just can't sit if I'm doing anything in vr that's supposed to simulate a standing position. I even walk in place even if I don't have to :) What I would love is a practical way to control my walking in vr using my actual walking in place, possibly in the direction my torso is pointing, not my head. Any suggestions on how I could achieve such thing? (On the Quest 3) 🖤 Thank you! :)
does it have a deadzone similar to how analog joysticks work? like your turns are faster the more you look to one side? cool chair it's one of those basic ideas that's right in front of you but everyone overthinks and makes overly complex designs that end up going nowhere. i feel like the same could be said about KATvr they could easily make leg trackers similar to those new pico trackers and get rid of all the complexities.. they don't even need to make trackers just have people buy those pico trackers.
My chair is heavier than normal game chairs since it's an older version. Completely like this as far as moving around. Don't need this expensive chair at all...😂
If this works with virtual desktop I'm sold this is how I play most of my pcvr games with virtual desktop streaming to my meta 3 and I turn myself around using my gaming chair with my feet because it's smoother than reprojection I get when using the controller to turn
I like the idea a lot; but the current price does throw me off. I hope they'll eventually come up with some lite/S version of this in the future that wouldn't cost more than $300 (and, ideally, $200, but I reckon that might be too wishful)
Seriously, get a pedestal office chair, with retracting arms. Turn physically instead of in the game, your turn changes your point of view not the other way around. Put the arms down for cockpit games, up for everything else. It's about $100 - $150 and just as good.
I play everything seated in a $20 barstool with stick turning disabled if possible and I really don't see how this products adds anything for anyone who doesn't have physical disabilities preventing them from spinning around physically.
This is a miss for me. I love the decoupled head/body movement I get out of KAT VR products. Even the KAT loco S has decoupled head/body movement. And it doesn't look like you can control forward backward movement with your feet. That seems like a miss. Cybershoes seem like a better option. Still seated, but immersive movement.
And how is this good for motion sickness? I got very interested when you said that at the start. But it wasn't explained or mentioned any further. Can you please explain this? And did you really have someone that suffers from it try it? I think you are unable to test that aspect yourself as you will have some vr legs by now. After many years of VR I still can't play a game without teleporting. That s....s
So I stayed purposely vague on the motion sickness claims because I don't experience it and I have no way to test but it is an aspect the manufacturers promote. Physically moving via their rotation helps offset the mismatch of sensations your brain is receiving
Wow you are fast! Thanks For now I usually play on a normal swivel chair so also some movement only powered by my feet instead of a motor. Still motion sick unfortunately. Send it over, I will test it for you😂@Gamingwithmatteo311
In general any form of "VR motion" which just replicates real-life motion does not induce motion sickness. So, when playing these games, if you can turn your body rather than using the controller (right) stick to look around, then you'll be avoiding any mismatched-rotation-induced motion sickness. You can do that standing up, while sitting on a swivelling chair, or with this special one which has a motor so you only need to nudge your head to the sides in order for the chair to rotate you. All in all, it is quite plausible to indeed be effective, compared to using right sticks, which is the only other option which lets your body remain at rest.
You nearly had me until you said the price. I understand why it costs so much but I feel it just won't sell well. I have really flat feet and standing in the one spot like you do in vr is pretty hard on them so this would have been awesome..
Just get a swiveling bar chair. It will be at least and equally immersive experience, and you will stop smashing into things and be able to play for longer. What about if you want to turn your head without turning your body? A swiveling bar chair will let you do that, but this won't or will it? If you turn your whole body, everytime you turn your head it makes absolutely no sense. The price is extreme too. I have lots of expensive VR accessories, but I am not sold on this one. I need more reviews and more in depth info if I am to get hyped. I am all for it if it serves a purpose, but I don't see it. But the price...
I can't get a lot of games I want to play seated to work well enough for this. I just stand and take the pain. The issue is. That if I want to play something like Onward, or Tactical Assault VR, then I set it to that seated mode. If I drop something, I'm screwed. Can't just go crouch everywhere. Certain actions like sprinting are useless crouched. So then you have to go slow. Which as someone partially crippled. It's kind of a kick in the dick honestly. I think this chair has uses, but i can also spin my pc chair for free.
But half the time, I don't want to rotate towards the direction I'm looking. Part of what makes vr good is that my view is separate from my direction. I can check over my shoulders, hold my gun forward and look to the sides, etc. This completely defeats that.
Yea. I honestly find it surprising how it's glossed over the fact that this basically joins your VR head and hip rotation together. $800 to lose one of the most fundamental freedoms VR provides (the ability to look around freely with your head) seems completely insane to me. I can definitely understand that it may be extremely beneficial for some people with disabilities that would otherwise make playing in VR more difficult, but for the average person the simple swivel-chair solution seems far more sensible because you then at least get to choose if your entire body rotates or not.
I don't really understand the benefit. The chair swivels when you turn your head. How does this make you feel more immersed? The rumble I guess I understand, controllers and games have had rumble features for as long as I can remember playing them. But I don't understand why it's desirable to have the chair turn. If the only point is to just get rid of motion sickness... you can do that a lot cheaper in a more fun way by just playing Space Pirate Trainer and Pistol Whip.
As it's based on your head direction and not the vehicle you're in this holds little interest. If it could be bound to what you are sitting in and not your viewing direction I would love to use it for things like VTOL VR or Kayaking.
This peaked my interest cause, I'm fat and out of shape lmao and after a couple hours, my back starts to hurt so I've been looking into seated options but ultimately I slapped myself and said "what are you doing fat ass! get in shape dummy!" lmao so that's my plan but for those with actual conditions where standing isn't an option, this looks viable. I'm not thrilled with the "turning with your head" choice as I like to turn with the direction of the controller so my head is free to look around and then dang! that price tag!! I guess this is something for the whales among us lol :)
Matteo most likely got this Chair for free just like the Woojer tubers who were doing reviews but its not all that. You can do this with a swivel chair with your legs.. but sure if you got no legs this may help. But is this for Space Sim games? No its impractical.
800$ for something that youre not sure will be an upgrade you like is just not working for most of us i guess. Hope its not dead on arrival and is worked on. Maybe we can get something like this in a few years.

What's the lag like? How fast does it start to turn, stop, and restart turning?
@@Taijifufu feels nearly instant. I shake my head back and forth in a short
@Gamingwithmatteo311 I got a question about the ROTO VR Chair. Does the make noise, basically is it noisy when using the chair?
surprisingly no
looks good i hope i feels better
They should have the option to do it standing too like those slide walking machine that hold your upper body.
My chair is heavier than normal game chairs since it's an older version. Completely like this as far as moving around. Don't need this expensive chair at all...😂
Need more in depth coverage as a vr player who wants some sort of immersion chair but no room for a yaw vr show us how fast it can go on high mode
why not have whole in the middle so you can thread cable through and not worry about entanglement?
How loud is it?
With and without the rumble.
Will downstairs tenants be annoyed?
You can barely hear the motor. The rumble isn't that much either
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 i assume it works with steamvr as well? technically this could work with psvr 1 no?
@TrevorJones1 yeah but the cables could be a nightmare
Is it true that it takes away motion sickness? Even if you use a controller to rotate ?
Thank you so much for this video I've been looking for a really good VR chair but $800. Nevermind
Lol "just plug it in there, which is gonna shake you're butt, and life is great" that added nonchalant "and life is great", is great.
If this works with virtual desktop I'm sold this is how I play most of my pcvr games with virtual desktop streaming to my meta 3 and I turn myself around using my gaming chair with my feet because it's smoother than reprojection I get when using the controller to turn
@@adammccarty8115 definitely works with VD. It's completely controlled by the dongle and moving your head
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 that is fantastic I'm sold I'm getting one now thank you sir!
Wonder how this would work with cyber shoes
I like the idea a lot; but the current price does throw me off. I hope they'll eventually come up with some lite/S version of this in the future that wouldn't cost more than $300 (and, ideally, $200, but I reckon that might be too wishful)
I need Space Sim support like the original roto chair
I love using a swivel chair but it makes my legs ache, I might buy this.
Wow sounded sooo good, until I heard the price tag.... $200 sure.. But $800.... Yikes....Great review btw!! ❤
Exactly
Seriously, get a pedestal office chair, with retracting arms. Turn physically instead of in the game, your turn changes your point of view not the other way around. Put the arms down for cockpit games, up for everything else. It's about $100 - $150 and just as good.
U mentioned 800 as a price. Is that US dollars. If so where do I find the link to purchase.

I play everything seated in a $20 barstool with stick turning disabled if possible and I really don't see how this products adds anything for anyone who doesn't have physical disabilities preventing them from spinning around physically.
I bought cybershoes, no way im falling for this thing..
How loud in the motor?
@@IanDeMartino i don't hear it at all
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 Wow, that's really impressive. Biggest downside of my VR treadmill is I can't play it at night.
Thanks for the info.
I simple office chair with no arms works just as good as this, it's what I do.
very insightful matteo, thank you. as for the chair, i want one. but 800? i could get a pcvr with that money
Yeah it's a lot
This is a miss for me. I love the decoupled head/body movement I get out of KAT VR products. Even the KAT loco S has decoupled head/body movement. And it doesn't look like you can control forward backward movement with your feet. That seems like a miss. Cybershoes seem like a better option. Still seated, but immersive movement.
This is a good idea, but way too expensive
Gaming chair cost about 3-400 bucks if u want a good one. So that thing if u play 99% seated its a good price
Should have started the video with price and weight limit. I want my time back
Even without the wire I end up playing vr sitting in a chair. My legs get too tired to stand up for long
And how is this good for motion sickness?
@@eirual4rs yup
@RagnarokGriffin there is a crouch button, also most games let you grab at a distance
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 In Onward, or Tactical Assault?
@@RagnarokGriffin onward
I got to the 8 hundred dollars lol
As a person in a wheelchair this would be great for me, but that price is too much for my budget.
I want to see their bill of materials, they have to be making a huge margin on this
I would love this! But at that price there is no way to fit that into the budget.
We been doing swivel chairs lol
Motorized ones?
@Gamingwithmatteo311 it don't take much to do a 360 in a swivel chair. Just feet 😊
Haha, If it works for Skeeva than people will be fine.
Damn, I was all in ‘til I heard the price 😅
the dongle looks like a Pokémon device.
As it's based on your head direction and not the vehicle you're in this holds little interest. If it could be bound to what you are sitting in and not your viewing direction I would love to use it for things like VTOL VR or Kayaking.
That's a different device. You are looking for a motion sim like yaw
Piqued not peaked
Matteo most likely got this Chair for free just like the Woojer tubers who were doing reviews but its not all that. You can do this with a swivel chair with your legs.. but sure if you got no legs this may help. But is this for Space Sim games? No its impractical.
Guess you didn't watch the video
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 I did, I went on their website and your featured on there too. But hey enjoy your new chair ;)
800$ for something that youre not sure will be an upgrade you like is just not working for most of us i guess. Hope its not dead on arrival and is worked on. Maybe we can get something like this in a few years.
