Sounds like it brings the thunder now! I have read about this same 9V battery issue on other posts about this bass. You have a great guitar tech there who knew what to do.
I just bought a 605E and it was absolutely perfect out of the box. I was actually surprised that it needed absolutely no set up. Granted it is a higher end instrument, but man it feels and plays so well.
Thank you. Yes, I can’t believe they let that go. 10 minutes to change a battery. That’s perfect right before gig. (Insert sarcasm). Glad you enjoyed the video. Question, were you able to put in an aftermarket housing for the battery?
Hello hope you well today. So I have been playing that bass for for a little over two months. I really do like it. Aside from the battery issue, it plays great and sounds great. I do love the neck profile. Many years ago I had a high end jackson bass. That bass was just sick. If I compare the Ibanez to the Jackson that Jackson wins. If I look at the Ibanez for what it is at the price point it is, it’s really good. I will say this, I have played and tried the lower end model from the bass I purchased and that wasn’t worth it. The SR300EDX is worth the few extra dollars. I hope that helps. Good luck with your purchase.
Great video, I bought that exact bass and am so glad you dove into the issues you had!
Thank you for watching

Only problem I had personally was the battery change lol. I don't know what the hell they were thinking
The battery debacle was a mystery to me for sure.
Loving that tone you're getting from it. Nice & dirgey...

Man I hear you with that 9v issue. I have the SR405EQM and have the exact same issue. Whoever signed that off needs shot. Nice video dude

The 300dx has a single jazz pickup and and a split pickup
The finish looks fantastic! Real life as well?
Yes. Damn good bass. I’m really glad I bought it too. About a month later the price went through the roof. I got lucky.

I’ve been looking for a bass to just have to record with. After some time with that bass would you still recommend?
