Aquatic Life T5 Hybrid Fixture Review, Best combo with LED light ?

- Aquatic Life Hybrid Review, I show a comparison between the T5 On and Off with my Kessil A360WE Tuna Blue.
Also include PAR reading, Heat Temperature, Cost in electricity, Sound (it's silence...).
The ballast is the SL218-40 UNI
I made some modifications of the light yo get the cords on the same side.
This is the 24" Version.
I've been using for many months, very great light, no big complaints, I recommend it!

Thank you :) With the Hybrid fixture, what are you interested exactly? The cheapest option? Because going hybrid ain't cheap 😝, I'm planning to do T5 comparison eventually waiting for a camera
Aqua Splendor Just how you were able to switch the ballasts and convert all the power cords to one side.
@@vietmai0425 6:25 is pretty much that. I just Flip the ballast and made a hole.

I just ordered aquatic life hybrid Gen 120cm one it take 10 days to get to the uk I want to change the dimmable ballast I was told to buy sd254 58uni and I hate the lights cable being on one side each want tonchage it like yours I also want a controller to turn it off if that's possible with dimmable

Can you buy a fixture with only 2 t5 rather than 4? Looks great but too wide for a fusion 40 aquarium
I think not, 4 is the minimum, but you can buy some bracket to reduce the width.

I use WiFi Smart Plug, Mini Wireless Remote Control Socket Outlet on Amazon, but i'm not sure if i would recommend it, had couple trouble with them.
Is there no acrylic shield over the T5 bulbs?
Nop, never need it either, the height of the fixture is good to avoid splashing, plus it let the T5 "breath".
Hello are you still running the actinic and purple plus combo? How did this combo workout long term in coral health? Thinking about changing out my 4 blue + to this combo

@@AquaSplendor thank you for the quick response. How many hours a day do you run your t5s? And do you run your kessil at 100% like in this video? My led is a red sea rl90. I run them at 65% blue then t5s for 4 hours. While the t5s are on I lower the led percentage by nearly half
8h, not sure about the kessil, probably around 50%.
What size is the aquarium is this a Fusion 40 AIO?

At the begning i was a it 50/50 on them, but overtime i really dig it, it's a big unique, eventually i will do comparison between all T5 Color.
