i was a kid in the early to mid 90s and those 1990 Marvel series 1 cards were still being sold in packs, and were already getting expensive just in the price of the packs.

AS EVER GREAT JOB WITH NONSPORTS AS FOR SUPERMAN 1940 CHECK AROUND FOR THE REPRINT SET. ALSO SUPERMAN RAY GUN WITH THE THE PROJECTOR FILM.
I graded that Queen Elizabeth oval card. I have less than 25 different cards from the set. And 15 doubles. I have a few almost ready to be graded.

Those Superman cards are ALWAYS the winner and those, compared to MOST cards, will NEVER lose value and ONLY go up..
I've bought a few of them kato /Lee cards, I started to pick up. But have slowed down cuz I started the boxing goats.looks like I need to go back to picking up them hornet cards..!!!!

Really great selection! As a trivia fact, Hollywood High School's Team name is the "Sheiks". Named for, and you guessed it, Rudolf Valentino's movie "The Sheik". At least it was still used in the early 2000s.
The superman coupon card is actually numbered 1 on the back …grading companies just don’t have a brain , it’s because the coupon card and the number 1 card in that set came out at the same time so they are both number 1 cards in that set in reality lol two rookies in one …I need one ☝🏽 they pre date that other 1940 set everyone goes for
I had bought 2 unopened wax boxes of the Green Hornet for $90 and 2 passes for the World Buffet 🌎 at the Rio here in Las Vegas in 2018
I opened a whole box of 1990 universe and maybe got around 6 potential psa 10s
Oh damn I have that number 8 spiderman card and I do believe I have the red skull as well not graded though I actually got about 25 other cards from the same set I put them on eBay as a lot for like 10 bucks and got like 3 views over 4 months I took the list down and put the cards back in my safe
They over paid for Spider-Man at $1,800 wow they must have been drinking and bidding
The Judy Garland is weird, It has Gary Edwards name on it as his ID but she signed the back? I don't get how PSA calls this a Judy Garland ID Card when it's actually a Gary Edward's ID Card .... 🙂🙃😉🤔🤔

Another awesome video. Love the original cards that you show. But is it me or concerning a few of the cards, the Wizard of Oz in particular that the seller doesn't know what they have, doesn't care and is looking to just get rid of it or is that what the card is actually worth? You'd think that one would sell for a lot more, least I would and the others from the 50s & 60s. Also, a general question while I'm on a roll, what's considered a high pop count in general regardless of sport or non-sport cards?
So if you bought that Superman box, would you keep the box intact or would break it up and get it graded?

Yes, they used to make the top 10 but haven't been any big sales of high grade ones on ebay lately. They usually show up in batches as someone sells parts of their collection.
As goofy as some may see it, I think that Judy Garland thing was a pretty good buy

Ding dong the wicked witch is gone... I bet that PSA 10 would SHATTER some records, especially NOW... If I had anything of hers, I'd sell QUICKLY!!!
They seem to still be going up. See what next week brings. I would be sending a 10 to Goldin or Heritage.

Oh I totally get now why somebody would hide the registration number of their card, the last thing you want people to see is that you got a really good deal when you paid for it and then try to leverage that against you..
You could do that but the market still dictates what it should be worth. I like seeing what some of these where bought for though.
scam from psa trying to get fools to grade their cards. you would pay that for those cards.
