  • Rob and I play one of the scenarios from the Bolt Action Rulebook - Envelopment. Check out the action as we opt for a straight up battle using a very interesting scenario on a battlefield modeled after Monte Casino where the Canadians attempt to surround the Italian garrison.

Gentlemen, lovely terrain, buildings/ruins, miniatures and vehicles. Your board and game are addictive eye-candy. Well done on the skill of the modeller's craft. You do the hobby proud.
A good and very enjoyable game to watch. You both seemed to enjoy yourselves immensely and that enthusiasm came through clearly when watching this video which you posted. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to share these videos with your fellow table-top wargamers. They are much appreciated.
On an historical note, the Canadians likely never used A27 Cromwell cruiser tanks although the Polish 1st Armoured Division which was part of the Canadian First Army in NWE did use them in their Recce Squadrons. I've found some few (3) photos over the years of Cromwell tanks labelled as in Canadian service but these were likely mislabelled before being archived.
Thanks again for sharing a most entertaining and (from a terrain and modelling aspect) inspiring game with us. Bravo to you both as you have indeed gone "over the top" in your craft and modelling achievements.

Thanks for watching! I have another video recorded that I haven't edited yet. The buildings are 3d prints. I have a store where I sell prints and model kits

If you rally you ignore pin markers so your 1st leutenant should have rallied.

In close quarters; if the attacker moves over or around an obsticle, like soft cover bushes or around, you fight simultanously.
Second round in close quaters and onwards are always simultaneuos

Hello I have many tanks and infantry in 1/72 scale. I am curious do I just half ranges and movements etc, while using these rules?

Did we get that one wrong? We're both well aware of the rule but screw up every now and again. I don't remember getting that one wrong though. Thanks for watching!

@29:10 if your firing the lmg one man acts as a loader and thus doesn’t get to shoot his rifle. If they are the same squad as the ones at 2:29 then you would get 4 shots from the lmg 2 shots from the smg nco not counting movement due to the assault rule from sub machine guns and 2 shots from the rifles that aren’t loaders. I know it largely means nothing in the long run as they failed the moral check for losing half the squad but unfortunately I recently passed the BAR (browning automatic rifle) exam and have since become a rules lawer lol jk.

I actually only counted the two dice for the riflemen. Some things go unspoken. I threw 8 dice, 4 lmg, 2 smg and 2 rifles. One rifle left off as loader. Thanks for watching and being sharp though as we do make mistakes, which happens. I hope you enjoy the video.

I did enjoy the game can’t wait for the next one! just to be clear there would have been three hits due to the smg only needing 5’s to hit (which should have been rolled separately) base 3 to hit hard cover +2 small team +1 the smg doesn’t count movement then -1 for point blank.
