Amogh did not mention a TON of things so here are some of them: 1. Very important, graphics presets AFFECT the graphics independently of custom graphics settings. The very low preset makes the game look horrible, for some reason, it even drastically affects color gamma. Low-high presets introduce normal colors and the higher the preset is, the higher the level of detail gets. Unlike medium and high, low preset does not have smoke in the garage view, reduces mud splashes in races, reduces rain effects, etc. Low preset might also have reduced asphalt quality but I am not sure about that yet, maybe it's a thing on all presets and they just made asphalt look worse with the ALU, just like they did to lots of other graphical aspects. So in conclusion, when setting up the graphics settings you FIRST choose the preset and then tweak the rest of the settings. 2. Anti-aliasing in ALU looks horrible. Gameloft replaced 8x MSAA that was in A9 with TAA to, I suppose, compensate for the drastic performance drop with at least something. TAA does not hit the performance noticeably, so it's a bit of false info from Amogh here, but what I also don't get is people who find that the game with TAA on looks good. TAA makes the game look terribly blurry and introduces very noticeable ghosting to moving objects, it's especially noticeable with motion blur turned off, the car you are driving leaves multiple silhouettes of itself right behind. Unfortunately, with the introduction of new graphics in the garage view no AA is very noticeable in the garage, especially on metallic surfaces, but you might be surprised when you start a race with AA turned off that in races it actually looks good, because guess what, developers actually did a good job on how surfaces look when developing the original A9, which cannot be said about ALU. 3. Another bad thing related to AA in ALU is that there is a bug that you are not able to turn the reflections setting on when you have AA turned off, but as Amogh mentioned in the video, it's yet another thing that developers messed up with ALU. The reflections setting introduces absolutely stupid looking reflections on the surfaces that they are not supposed to be on, so just turn it off - if you're not playing at the lowest graphics preset your game will have all the OG A9 reflections and will look better. Another thing to mention about the reflections that the setting adds is that they are laggy. It's actually very noticeable in the garage view when the reflection of the car updates a noticeably small number of times a second and looks like it's trying to catch up with the car's model when you are spinning it. 4. There is no point in setting motion blur, bloom, god rays or depth of field to low, as those effects look incredibly pixelated at the low setting. Either put those to max or disable completely. 5. Shadows is a very big topic so I am not going to tell everything, but here is the most important: 5.1. Shadow resolution set to anything below high introduces visual artifacts to the dynamic shadows, so start with high if you don't want the game to look wrong. 5.2. Shadow quality set to low-high makes the game render a much smaller number of dynamic shadows than if it's set to very high - ultra, so if you want to see all the shadows, turn it up at least to very high. 5.3 Just as with the effects mentioned the paragraph number 4, dynamic shadow distance does not make sense in my understanding when it's set to anything less than off or max, since anything in the middle makes the shadows appear right in front of your car and it's VERY noticeable. So once again, if you don't want the game to look wrong, set it either to the lowest or the highest setting. 6. Thankfully dark spots on the maps were fixed in the latest patch, which is great news for players who found the dynamic lighting very annoying, like myself, since now you can disable it completely and still see everything, just like it was in good old A9. If you prefer dynamic lighting to be on, then just go with what Amogh said in the video. So in conclusion to this essay, I will say that the real troublemakers that were introduced with ALU that hit your performance are dynamic lighting and dynamic shadows, so if you want to play in your native resolution, especially if you don't have a powerful GPU, just turn the dynamic shadows distance and dynamic lighting quality options to the minimum (which disables them completely) and watch your FPS go up 3-5 times (if you do that you can also turn the shadow quality to minimum as it only affects dynamic shadows anyway). Make sure you pick the graphics preset you like beforehand, and after that adjust your resolution and scaling settings and the rest of the custom settings to what you prefer, and enjoy! Great video explanation from Amogh, otherwise I wouldn't really bother to write allat XD
Thanks for this, The main reason Why I didn’t mention some things up to this level of detail was just to make the average user have a simpler understanding of what different settings are doing in the game.

You should have mentioned that the game has now become more CPU intensive. From what I have seen the game does generally prefer more threads(although I can be wrong) For instance, I have a i5 9600k and a GTX 1660 Super. Asphalt 9 Legends ran at 195--210fps using max settings on average at 1080p using 120% res scale. Asphalt Unite runs at 90-100fps using these same settings at 1080p. In A9 my gpu was pretty much always at 100% utilisation but now in unite I have seen multiple instances of sub 90% GPU utilisation and 100% cpu usage indicating a CPU bottleneck. Gameloft should add FSR support in this game as it will help lower end PC's as this is no longer a very easy game to run unlike a9. That said I still think they should add further settings for better graphics I do not feel like alu is a big graphical update from A9 and it feels kinda dated for PC's... nah, I'm pissed they aren't more transparent about it. they just include a tiny text on the MP screen what race mode the MP round is on.
back in A9, the race mode is in BIG text.
but because not many people see that tiny text, like back in the first known Unbreakable MP for this split, opponents were still TRYING to perform 360 KO's because they don't know any better.
