I understand why Disney offers these extra services for extra revenue. I also understand offering perks like early entry to hotel guests as incentives to stay on property. This however is asking the same price for an extra service but then penalizing the people who didnt stay on property since they pay the same but get less, thats my issue with it. As someone who travels from Canada, I stay on property, but i still think its unfair to give a worse product for the same price.
At first I was super impressed because I was listening while working. I kept hearing them celebrate getting new rides booked, and I thought “wow this system is great.” Then I rewatched it and paid attention to WHAT rides they were booking. Monsters Inc and Philarmagic are literally always walk ons, that is sort of false advertising to say booking those is a win. I feel like this sort of test would be more helpful if they made a rule that they couldn’t book a LL for an attraction that has less than a 20 minute wait when they are booking the LL. Like when she used a LL for the tea party and said “well it’s only a 15 min wait, but we have a LL” … That’s fine, but most of us don’t go to Disney World to shave 15 min off of the mad tea party line. It would be more honest to see what can really be booked sticking to rides that have a 20 min + wait. I really feel the outcome would be very different. And please note, I enjoy this channel and I’m not wanting the system to fail… I would just like to see it used the way most people will want to use it (on attractions that people really want to ride- with waits that people would actually pay $30 a person to skip)
Or have a person who purchases lighting lane the day of. I have a feeling lots of people would assume that genie plus is still a thing and don’t think they can book earlier than 7 AM on your park day
When I watched this video and Emma said “11:11 wish!” It literally was 11:11am here in the Midwest. That was incredibly good timing, so I hope my wish had some extra good luck! 🌠
lately, the only ride selling out before 3 days in advance has been tianas, and even then, you can just resfresh for a few minutes and get it 2 weeks ago on my trip, we bought multi pass for epcot the night before, and ended up getting to use remys, nemo, soarin, tianas, peter pan, space mountain, pirates, tower of terror, toy story, rock n rollercoaster, and micky and minnies runaway railway.. not joking, you can get 100% get your moneys worth
I appreciate all the research y’all are doing for the multipass system. I find it very helpful and informative. Plus, Emma and Sage are always great fun to learn from. Great video as always!
I just stayed at an off site hotel with a 4 and 2.5 year old and the lightning lane multipass option definitely was worth it, despite being off property. I was able to lightning lane big ticket attractions at early times (Ratatouille, Slinky) and was even able to grab a lightning lane for Remy and Frozen in the same day, each before 3:00 PM.
thats what i was wondering cause i dont plan on staying on property but felt like rides like slinky or tianas bayou would be fully booked by the people staying on property and people like me only booking 3 days before would get the crumbs like super late lightnings or just none at all for the most popular rides..... but your comment gave me hope x)
Thanks for any and all help. The ending Sage saying if you understood Genie, this is similar, makes me happy!! Love no more cool down like Emma stated. Still want to see a video with family like size using this system.

Fair point but I grew to believe Genie+ was the "MOST" fair for all guests.... local, out-of-state, AP, and foreign. Everyone was at the same starting point. Yes, it had its issues but........everyone had the same shot. With 'Leeloo' MultiPass certain guest have a huge advantage over others. Everyone pays for the lack of character exp inclusion too.

This is not good. I was able to breeze through Disney with the right planning. Having 2 toddlers planning is everything. First year to spend offsite and it’s ruined. Don’t understand the change at all. Can someone explain why this was changed to a system where you pay the same amount but with less availability. The only thing available are rides that already have low wait times.
Thanks for the video - as an annual pass holder who stays offsite this was what I needed to see - of course Tron 7dwarves and Tiana are the must dos that are not available but it sounds like everything else will work for us
It would be super helpful if the editor could provide a visual comparison of the wait times of the standby queue that they used LL's for. Would help decide if it's really worth it
I think both did well. I liked Emma’s pacing more- maximizing the gaps are realistic for families. Using times for potty breaks/ snacks etc. for most ppl MK is an all day park anyway. So even though they stopped at 4 doesn’t mean she couldn’t get higher tier rides for later. There’s more to offer at Disney than rides. Honestly if you’re hung up on rides and not taking in characters or shows you could have just went to your local roller coaster theme park and been happy. Disney is about experiences. Chill and have fun ❤
Can you do a day of/day before please as international guests can't book until we arrive in the US😭, which is usually the day before our first park visit.

Hi Emma, Curious what happened with that tiana you said you got at virtual queue? Was the timing on that past the 1pm opportunity to try for tron virtual queue?
The first time I went to Disney, I wanted to ride the teacups so bad, but was vetoed everytime being 10 yrs old. When I went for my highschool graduation, I went to ride those teacups first, and immediately regretted it. I got so nauseous and dizzy! Still love the idea of the ride, but never again 😂
What were crowds like on the day this was filmed - like super busy? Or moderate crowds? We have a trip booked towards the end of September so I’m curious to see how that might play into the availability of attractions. We’ll have the 7 day advantage and we also tend to rope drop, then take mid-day breaks, then close the parks so we hit the rides when the wait times tend to be lower. So we may decide to pass on the Multi Pass and decide day by day based on what park(s) we’ll be at if crowd levels seem to be low(ish). Looking forward to more vids on this especially ones where y’all park hop… great job as always, too Emma and Sage. Y’all are awesome! ❤
I plan to be on the phone all the time while in the park for earlier ride time for the entire family. Just one little sacrifices for the greater enjoyment.
Great to see this in action, but I wish there’d been a comparison along the way/at the end of time saved using Lightning Lanes compared to the stand-by waits. Because saying you can get plenty of lightning lanes day-of for things like shows that are always easy walk-ons…that’s not helpful to deciding whether multipass is worth the extra cost. By my own guesstimating, it seems like Emma only really got like 9 points compared to Sage’s 12 on rides that are worth using lightning lanes for (though Sage’s also landed nearly 3x the cost with 2 single passes). Ear Scouts recently did a version of this kind of competition where the point totals were weighted based on average wait times-I’d love to see that accounted for!
So the gist of what I'm seeing is that unless you can book 7 days in advance, you pretty much get left with the leftovers 3 days ahead-- for the same cost as 7 days out. Pretty much as anyone could have predicted if they just thought about it. Because it wasn't just someone 7 days ahead of you. It was also everyone who was 6, 5,and 4 days ahead because of their hotel stays that started that 3, 2, and 1 days ahead of when you could book.
I would travel from the Netherlands but last time I had a villa outside Disney. I think it is such a struggle to get to Disney with all those exceptions, perks and all that stuff to get the rides you are comming for that it turns me off. I just want to go the an amusementpark to get fun, not to stay on my phone the whole day. It's nuts and not the quality time I want with my family. I was planning to save up to get to Disneyworld for my 50'th birthday in 2 years but I think I go to the Efteling (best Dutch park) instead.
I agree. Disney seems to be making things harder and harder for their guests. It’s too bad, but I guess as long as there’s money to be made they will keep doing what they do. What is Disney Paris like? It looks nice. Closer for you.
@@lizakroberts Disney Paris is nice but it's American style with a French twist that feels a little off when I compare it with Disney World. Half the shows are in French but my French (and for most international guests) isn't good enough. So the English shows fill up fast. And it has more like that, like the menu in some restaurants is heavy on the France taste. I like it, my daughter didn't. She is a picky eater.
So many reasons to not go. Makes me sad. The current management are not maintaining the parks, it will cost even more when it totally breaks. I’m from the old days when it was rare to be on a ride that breaks.
My wife and I use to go multiple times per year. But we got tired of the Mouse picking our pockets. Now we spend our money elsewhere. "The only winning move is not to play" - WOPR/WarGames
If you entered the park, no lightning lane, and just went from one ride to the other in order (no back tracking or zig zagging) how many rides (and or attractions) could you get through in a day?
This is a great question. I wonder about this all the time. As someone who travels with a walker/wheelchair user (who I have to push) I'm not interested in zig-zaging the parks.
I love how you got to do so many rids, my worry is that it would be different when you are with a group. Have you tried with more then I person in your party?
All of this is showing me it was a good concept but since the rides are down all the time, it’s pointless and yr just wasting money, Disney is cheating us, we had so much more in the past 😢
I agree!! And having long hair down (not in braids or ponytails)???? I have chin-length hair and still had it up off my neck the first week of June at MK. 😂
I always watch the videos like this, especially now with the new system! We'll be visiting in October. Could you guys do these challenges where you book LLs for a party of 4 or 5 people? Lots of people are traveling with families, and I feel like there's probably more availability only booking for 1 person vs a group. Just a thought!
Size of party, as long as it’s under 20, does not change the availability of the lightening lane. You can be a group of 1 or group of 20 and they’ll give you the same times.
You may want to group your picks together by area of the park so you don't have to walk from one side of the park to the other all day long. Additionally, if you are rope dropping, then you don't really need a lightning lane that early.
Nice experiment. As someone else has already said, it doesn't matter what they implement, people are going to complain. They complained about original FP - you had to go to the stations and everything was gone, etc. They complained about FP+ - you are on your phone all the time, everything is gone, you can only book 3, etc. They complained about Genie+ - now you have to pay for what was free, it's too complicated, etc. They will complain about this - costs too much, not fair if you aren't staying in a Disney resort, etc. I'll say up front, I don't see a time where I'll pay for it but that is just because I don't need it. I go at least twice a year, I've been going for over 40 years so riding as many rides as I can is not something I need or want. However, I think once they work out the kinks and people get used to it, it won't be a bad thing for those who care to use it.
Thanks for the video. Can all ears or someone reading this provide a list of which rides have a double tap in as of this filming? I understand things can change. Thank you.
How long would it take to do all these attractions without MPLL? I just hear complaints about waiting in line. But I remember when Space Mountain had a 4 hour line (We would do other things and come back)
I have a good feeling things will work their way out as the system becomes older. Everyone was booking insanely because we JUST passed the 2 week mark, meaning people were booking for the same time day of for the first week. Give Disney time to also work out the bugs.
I will say maybe if not you’re a morning person you’d prefer the 3 day booking: kindof like stacking used to be : then at the end of the night you can ride things as lines go down or get last minute LLs
There is this fictional Christmas tree farm that has really nice trees. The prices are the same based upon sizes. They also have some specialty trees which cost more but sell out. The people who have the greatest flexibility to get to the tree farm (proximity to the tree farm, flexibility with their time and travel, financial flexibility ) get a larger choice of trees. When you know, you know.
I’m so sad, I won’t be booking a Disney World trip until they fix the international guest issue. I can only usually get a week off work so I need fast pass to actually get everything going done, it’s not worth the thousands of £ to go otherwise!
I believe it was July 28. I was there that day but had super challenging day because though I had lightning lanes my android phone would not connect to Disney WiFi. Was at 3 blue umbrella sites and they tried to help me with booking but they said connection problem was connected to thunder storm the night before.
Are the lightening lanes selling out for the day any quicker now versus with Genie? For instance, was it common for Jungle Cruise to be sold out for the day with the old system?
I think things sell out just as quickly. Jungle Cruise could be gone very quickly with Genie+. The difference is with the advance booking, you can see some rides sell out before some booking windows open.
Anyone know… help me 😆If you’re staying at Disney for 5 nights and utilizing the 7 day from checking booking rule for LL, can I book say the last day of our stay LL before the other days if that’s the most important for us? Or do I have to go in order?
Try adding a version for international guests. We can’t book anything until we arrive in USA regardless of whether our stay is on site or else where. First pass you can book is three days in to the holiday. This also means you may struggle to get passes for tron and tianas. I am sure it is something they could resolve if they wanted to, but claim it is related to international laws. Never an issue when we used to book fast pass 60 days in advance in uk before they monetised it ?
In Quincy’s Q and A about lightning lanes she said you can’t book the same ride more than once. You can ride it stand by and also do it lightning lane.
being an international visitor who has a trip in January, the system doesn't help me either way since if you are not in US or Canada you can not book at all until you touch down in North America. So that realllly hurts the international guests who will probably face way more being sold out :( but am hoping they'll make some changes between now and then and this video does help huge since my lay over when I fly is in Canada :)
In this video Sage grabbed three additional Tier 1's and Emma one additional Tier 1's day of, and they each had more than a dozen additional MultiPass day of.
@@vincent412l7 I know... but when you are flying over 12-13 hrs you kind of hope to get some nice tier 1's so here is to hoping.,. I loved they were able to catch some later in the day though so that is hopeful :)
Would love to see you all do this as a group because most of the time we aren't doing this just for one person. Do as many Lightening Lanes open up for like a group of 4 during the day?
I was honestly surprised during my trip at the Lightning Lanes value that my mom and I got; we weren't staying at a Disney resort and bought it literally the day of because I had to work until 7 AM, we had about a 2 hour drive to Orlando and didn't get into the park until almost 10, but we got everything done that we wanted to. One big seller for us that I didn't hear mentioned in the video, all of your on ride photos are included in the price! I don't know if this will stay a feature, but we got our photos from Tron, Tiana's, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and Buzz Lightyear (Space Mountain was sadly down most of the day and the lights were even on when we went through that tunnel on the People Mover) all with the package.
I think it's important to remember that even if you dont get ALL the lightning lanes, standby still exists. Lol People complaining "so if I dont stay on property/modify/etc I just dont get to ride the cool rides? Good heavens. 😂 TRON, Guardians, and Tiana's were already different, so just jump in line for Space Mountain and smile.
Oh it’s probably too late now. I just commented on your other LL post. If I’m staying on property and my sister is staying off, can I still add her to multipass at the 7 day mark?
Maybe you could add her name to your hotel reservation even if she won't stay in the room if there's not already four in your room.... Might cost a small fee if there's more than two of you in the room already but it would make it where she gets to reserve 7 days early with you.
i think they should do it like universal…. make it free for deluxe resort guests and allow others to buy in. i liked the old fast pass system, but yes it preferred resort guests. the new system goes back to preferring resort guests.
I agree universals express pass is much more user friendly. That said, I’m not sure Disney could offer this for all their deluxe guests- they have so many deluxe hotels (with the swan and dolphin included). So deluxe resort guests can really take up some space (I don’t know if you’ve ever done the extra magic hours as a deluxe guest (not the extra one you pay for, but the one you get for staying deluxe)… but it was pretty crowded when we did it. But I do agree that this system doesn’t really seem ideal for anyone honestly. Even those that get to book 7 days in advance are finding the stuff they want gone when they can book- because people who have a vacation that starts before yours but overlaps w/ yours a few days- have already booked them when their 7 day booking was open🤷🏼♀️
Being a hotel guest is not practical since we are a large family of 8. Stinks for us I guess. Disney really isn’t made for us even though we have more littles than the average family.
If you take into consideration Sage (purchaced 2 single rider lanes) that Emma didn't , he only beat her by 1, not 3. This was about Lightning lanes, Not single rider which you have to pay extra for. He won by 3 but Paid extra for 2 of them. Emma was only allowed lightning lanes. So your comparing the two wasn't fair. Am I missing something. Why couldn't Emma buy single rider lanes too. So confused.

This sucks for those of us not staying in a resort.
Watch their videos. They've done well.
As a resort guest l can pay the whole cost and not be allowed to book any rides.
I'm from the UK.
Can you please do an experiment for what it would be like for an international visitor? Would all passes be sold out?
Emma and Sage are just going to move into Country Bears this point. 😂
I plan to be on the phone all the time while in the park for earlier ride time for the entire family. Just one little sacrifices for the greater enjoyment.
Can you also do a comparison of park resort guest with multi lane pass vs non resort guest with multi pass vs no resort guest without any just standby
Yes! Would like to see this, too
Great to see this in action, but I wish there’d been a comparison along the way/at the end of time saved using Lightning Lanes compared to the stand-by waits.
This is such a good idea, you’re really paying for the time you save not for how many rides you get to go on in general
Yes now it’s the same situation as advanced dining reservations where popular spots are booked up by hotel guests with longer stays

This sucks if you are a resort guest but not from America. We should get this perk and don't. It's seriously unfair
Thought they do now
I love how you got to do so many rids, my worry is that it would be different when you are with a group. Have you tried with more then I person in your party?
With past services, group size did not affect the options but we'll be testing this soon to find out!
Very, very fair and honest critique from Sage on Tiana's. I appreciate it!!
All of this is showing me it was a good concept but since the rides are down all the time, it’s pointless and yr just wasting money, Disney is cheating us, we had so much more in the past 😢
Wearing a long sleeve black shirt in the summer ? I would have passed out.
I agree!! And having long hair down (not in braids or ponytails)???? I have chin-length hair and still had it up off my neck the first week of June at MK. 😂
Lari the armadillo is the best! 🤩
You can be a group of 1 or group of 20 and they’ll give you the same times.
please do this 'competition'/'challenge' for every park in WDW!
Tronnnnn I miss that ride so much!!! It’s so epic
What would have been a good thing to list was not only points but amount of time saved, might have booked 9 rides, but how much time was saved?
Yay I've been waiting for this one!
You may want to group your picks together by area of the park so you don't have to walk from one side of the park to the other all day long. Additionally, if you are rope dropping, then you don't really need a lightning lane that early.
Can you please explain rope dropping?
19:00 i want to see this same video but with hollywood studios!!! i feel like things run out way faster there and i want to see how it plays out
Go watch their video tomorrow (8/7) - perfect day multipass Hollywood studio (non-resort guest)
Thank you.
Emma I love your shirt! Where is it from?
How long would it take to do all these attractions without MPLL? I just hear complaints about waiting in line. But I remember when Space Mountain had a 4 hour line (We would do other things and come back)
I have a good feeling things will work their way out as the system becomes older. Everyone was booking insanely because we JUST passed the 2 week mark, meaning people were booking for the same time day of for the first week. Give Disney time to also work out the bugs.
Thanks for helping us learn that it realy is a small world
I will say maybe if not you’re a morning person you’d prefer the 3 day booking: kindof like stacking used to be : then at the end of the night you can ride things as lines go down or get last minute LLs
Do you think it would be possible if part of the group starts 7 days before and the rest 3 days before to then book rides together?
This is a great topic! Hurry and premier already! lol
Just getting on…Did anyone mention when they filmed this video? Curious bc they said it was a busy day.
TY!
I'll have to rewatch it, but often you can catch the date when they show the phone when booking. Sage said about a week after the start.
I believe it was July 28. I was there that day but had super challenging day because though I had lightning lanes my android phone would not connect to Disney WiFi. Was at 3 blue umbrella sites and they tried to help me with booking but they said connection problem was connected to thunder storm the night before.
Dates in the video show 7/31.
Also tomorrow's (8/7) video filmed 7/30 (per i-gram post) said this video was next day.
@@vincent412l7 my bad, I shouldn’t have assumed that Tianna wouldn’t have been down on a number of days at 9am!
How long do you have to check in after your time comes up?
Looks to be 1 hour window per demo in the video
6:06
Lol now do resort guest vs morning of guest. 😂
Hey everybody ❤❤❤❤to you all at AE😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sage: "How do I say 'Bring back Splash Mountain' without saying 'bring back Splash Mountain?'"
Any chance you could do this with a party of 3 or 4 to compare? Seems like a single traveler has a better chance of snagging those LL.
We have it on the schedule but in the past party size hasn't had an effect!
Great to hear!
Can you do this same experiment @ HS, EPCOT, & Animal Kingdom? We don’t stay at park hotels, so wondering if it’s worth it at other parks too.
Can you ride rides more than once? So say I check in to Ariel and then want to book it again later on with LL???
In Quincy’s Q and A about lightning lanes she said you can’t book the same ride more than once. You can ride it stand by and also do it lightning lane.
@@beckybrandt8058 clears that up. Thank you :)
being an international visitor who has a trip in January, the system doesn't help me either way since if you are not in US or Canada you can not book at all until you touch down in North America.
loved they were able to catch some later in the day though so that is hopeful :)
If you use a US-based travel agent they can book Lightning Lanes for you
Use a USA VPN
Would love to see you all do this as a group because most of the time we aren't doing this just for one person. Do as many Lightening Lanes open up for like a group of 4 during the day?
We will be doing a group video! With past skip-the-line options, the same windows opened up for solo people and groups of 4. But we'll test it!
The armadillo's name is Lari.
TRON, Guardians, and Tiana's were already different, so just jump in line for Space Mountain and smile.
Oh it’s probably too late now. I just commented on your other LL post. If I’m staying on property and my sister is staying off, can I still add her to multipass at the 7 day mark?
Only if they are on your hotel reservation as well. If not then you’re out of luck
Maybe you could add her name to your hotel reservation even if she won't stay in the room if there's not already four in your room.... Might cost a small fee if there's more than two of you in the room already but it would make it where she gets to reserve 7 days early with you.
How does Lightening Lane work with multiple people? Like a group of 6 who want to go on attractions together? I haven’t seen anyone do this yet.
It works the same as long as you are all linked but we will be doing a video showing this soon!
total rip off for international guests as they can't book anything until they arrive in the US!!!
We always stay on property but it also means you’re glued to your phone all trip. Ugh 😖
You were glued to the phone with Genie Plus too so that part hasn’t changed
@@kevins5259 I miss fast pass. It was free.
@@kevins5259. Exactly. I don’t like this new system at all!,
Just saying that you could have gotten a virtual que without purchasing Multi Lana so that's apples and oranges
It you get an experience pass how do you save it for a specific ride later on and not mistakenly use it on something you didnt want to use it on?
Don't think you can. If you don't have a MultiPass, I think it will automatically use the redemption. You have to be careful with the times.
A week before, a couple days after the system changed to LL :/
Is 4:30 your challenge cut off or the actual cut off for the multi pass?
Just our challenge cut off! Multi Pass lasts all day!
Has anyone ever waited in line for 90 minutes or more when the line was showing that length of time?
Where is the HS perfect day with multipass video they are talking about? Was it never released?
It was released tomorrow 8/7
i think they should do it like universal…. make it free for deluxe resort guests and allow others to buy in. i liked the old fast pass system, but yes it preferred resort guests. the new system goes back to preferring resort guests.
If they were smart the would make hotels a little more and give LL for free to hotel guess and not offsite guess or make it like $50
If you take into consideration Sage (purchaced 2 single rider lanes) that Emma didn't , he only beat her by 1, not 3.
She couldn't buy them because they were sold out by the time she was allowed to book.
Thank you Sage Thank you Emma Breedlove rules
