I'm the quintessential 80's kid... born in 75... so went 5yrs-15yrs during that decade. The best Saturday morning cartoons to this day..... and the best music to this day. A great decade for movies and imagination. Anything that helps take me back and gets me away from the madness we're experiencing now is a God Send. @@pekka75 You know... us 1975r's are unique. Come 2025 we will have lived half a century. A quarter century each, in not only two different centuries... but two different Millennia. We have a unique perspective. We've gone from TV's that had a dial on them to change the channels and phones that had the circle dial with finger holes over the numbers all the way up til now. We could play outside all day in the 80's... i don't think kids really do much of that anymore. They're inside playing video games or messing with social media. We were around before voice mail... lol Then we had voice mail....then caller ID.... etc... we've seen a LOT of change.... and we have a great perspective on all of it i think. I miss the days of being without a cell phone... not being at someone's beckoned call 24/7 was a much more "FREE" feeling, i must say. Sigh........
Born in 1987. I so miss the synthesizer tracks that were common place back then. Not just in music but in films and tv as well. Just something so incredibly timeless about this sound that I miss more and more each day.
Be careful. First she will grab your hand with a big smile and pull u over to make u love her, next she will tell that she already has a bf and make u feel like a piece of sheep 🐑💨
80’s kids stayed out all day; played in the woods on rope swings and tree bases; railway tracks; played soldiers; days were endless; a raft built to sail down the canal; then came home when the street lights came on. They were the days of fun.
it captures how it feels in Hindsight, in reality it was far less immersive, we get to reside in that Sphere now that so much time has passed. you don't get back what you have when its gone, but you can remember how beautiful those moments where.

Born in 2011, I never heard this type of synth wave music, but whenever I hear it, it makes me wanna go in the 80s, have fun with my friends in the arcade, stay up night playing with them, wear those cool new shoes, yeah…
The 80's kind of sucked...but music like this brings back the better parts of the decade like renting two NES games and a VHS from the local mom and pop video store, staying up late playing games, watching really bad movies, and finishing it off falling asleep to SNL.
@@beardedlonewolf7695 Sure, until you jog your memory and bring up things like AIDS, the crack epidemic, the cold war, satanic panic, stock market crash, horrible domestic cars with no power, cassette decks that ate your favorite music, casual racism, and so on... but yeah, its fun to look back at the best parts like low budget movies we are fond of and warm analog synth music and the last era of non-processed vocals corrupted by autotune.
I love this artwork / picture. It reminds me of when I was 18 and moved to South Florida in the mid 1990s. Realizing it's art, and a lot of HDR-style to it... this is basically what South Beach, Hollywood, and Fort Lauderdale looked like at sunset. And the "look" of this girl was very 90s too. I miss those times... it was pre-9/11 and the world was much more peaceful and "exciting" for us, at least those of us in the U.S. Thanks for all of this. I've been listening to this on repeat as I work.
I was born in 1986, and my birthday just recently passed, so I just had to return to the 80s for a little while, and what better way to experience the decade, than listening to music inspired by the era.
The young lady represented reminds me of the coolest girl I ever met !!! Head over heels for her, but only from a distance. Friend Zones were not around much in the 80's.
Synthwave, once unappealing to me, has unexpectedly revealed a magical quality that's absent in contemporary movies or shows. There's something enchanting and nostalgic about its essence, transporting listeners to a captivating realm of bygone eras. It exudes a unique charm that seems lost in today's entertainment landscape.
GLORIOUS 80s!!! Indeed, the FIRST decade that enjoyed the widespread start of consumer tech. BUT was still early enough that most things people needed to do, work for, sweat for and enjoy --- were still very "analog" and simple. *Like for example using the rotary phone and calling your crush (and hope no one eavesdrops on the shared line) then strategically sending hand-written perfume-infused love letters via snail mail and hoping the postman (or a suspicious father) won't intercept and open it before your crush could.*
It's incredible how our musical tastes can evolve over time. Synthwave has a unique magic that harkens back to a different era, creating a nostalgic and cinematic vibe that's often missing in modern movies and shows. It's a testament to the power of music to transport us to different times and places, even if we once held different opinions about it. Really cool for so many reasons beyond actual words. A lot of people may look back on the 80's and say that it was an Era that had its' time and that we should leave what is in the past; in the past. But there is an innocence and magic connected to the 80's that today's world is sorely missing and would, I'm almost sure, love to have back, or, at the least, be able to sufficiently replicate to a broad extent.
Synth music's timeless allure is undeniable, and its enduring charm is proof that it should have never faded into obscurity. The ethereal melodies and captivating electronic soundscapes continue to resonate with listeners across generations, reminding us of the unending magic that this genre holds.👏🎵💜

I was looking for the band names but then realized the poster made this. I love this! Time Travelers is my favorite. Something about this song just gives me shivers. It's really simple, appealing and energetic, yet distant and cold. When i first was passively listening to it and working, it popped out because it kept repeating. And i paid attention a little. Then it annoyed me. And it stopped. I had to play it again. and again.

@brandonplays236 that's very well put. I can agree on the feeling. I was fortunate enough to be born in 80 but I get the same feeling when I listen to old classic swing music that was out way before my time..
The background music really elevates the entire experience. It adds an emotional layer to the visuals, making the story even more compelling. The soundtrack is perfectly matched to the theme, enhancing every moment and creating a lasting impression. Each track is carefully chosen to align with the narrative, creating a cohesive and immersive experience. The music truly brings the video to life in a unique way.
I came of age in the 80s and was in highschool during that time. Its one of the most heart felt, original and discovery era decades in this world's history. There were so many first for this generation. Movies became as big then as they were in the golden age of TV. Its one of the reason I love Psych. Shawn and Gus always refer fondly their years growing up as kids in the 80's by referencing 80s movies, TV and more.
I can listen to this all day. Come think of it, I just went through a whole day of work with this on in the background. Such great vibes! Thanks a lot for this.
Track 10 is the one that pulled me in. Its bass melody is so deep and wet compared to its neighbours, and the way it stops for breath is really fun. If I were to name it, I would go for `Cover of Dark`.
I once held a strong aversion to synthwave, but I must admit, it possesses a certain enchanting magic that seems to have disappeared from modern movies and shows. It's a captivating genre that evokes a nostalgic charm, reminding us of a time when such melodies were a cinematic treasure. Your perspective has opened my eyes to its unique allure, and I'm grateful for this newfound appreciation.
I came across this and seriously thought that this was a photo of a girlfriend from MANY YEARS AGO! :) This music is very upbeat and good for the soul to listen, especially during a workout. Nice cover photo as many of the girls that I knew at this time period looked very similar! God Bless you and your creative talents my friend!
I discovered synthwave by mistake. It was a suggestion and I thought it, by the name, it sounded weird. Glad I decided to now!!!!! Perturbator is my favorite artist hands down.

the first track makes me feel like being together with my love after there was no hope and now there will be happily ever after. I can almost see her face, smiling, almost but not quite...
i'm a decade apart from the 80's ... but i relate so much to the nostalgic vibe .... i'm not even close to the arcade theme it was so far away from my reality tho my fam couldnt afford stuff beyond food and rent so me and my two brothers were raised in such a simple enviroment but i still can hear my dad telling his stories about how he used to hear this type of music on radio stations

Hallo Ted. I am grateful Heavenly Father created a world where people with different music styles and tastes can sit and chill together listening to the sounds of yesterday.
I got this recommended by youtube and I just clicked it instantly. The 80s weren't really that good to me as a child, but that was more to due with the environment and bullying for being different. But the music was fantastic, and even though you've bought and mixed the music here, it still hit me hard in the nostalgia feels. Damn, this is wonderful music, thank you!
I'm SO truly sorry to hear about the bullying you for being "different" (or just unique), and it's a sad reality that so many face bullying for simply being themselves. It's essential to remember that our differences are what make us unique and valuable. ALWAYS be PROUD of WHO YOU ARE and the journey you've been through. Sending you strength and positivity! 🌟🎵❤
@@galaxywaves1 Thank you, your words mean a lot!! I'm going to obsess over the music you have posted on RUclips, I've already spent two hours enjoying your work!! 💜💜💜 Also, the artwork is amazing, love the 80s neon colours 😻
Part of me wants to point out the current situations regarding even heavier bullying and everything similar (racism etc) being in front of us and us being in denial but I do remember that at younger ages things were more raw... that's worse or better than nowadays depending on who you ask, I guess. ...But part of me really wants you and everyone to know that no matter how shallow and cynical some were to us and us to others, there's some hope for everyone to change, if they realize how stupid and selfish they've been instead of ending up feeling *proud* (of) themselves... well, yeah, in the end let's not hide from the fact that so many don't (want to) change and they love that behavior, and all the complexes behind the domination and immaturity, the absolutism and the self-inflicted prophecies they were taught to see as normal, even the self-loathing and the miserable and self-destructive part, and the trendier global death wish -_- Personally, I'm not sugarcoating or beautifying anything. It's been more popular to want to feel like a villain/exploiter wannabe, or someone supposedly good but tolerant to the wrongs, in this and that way (for example, confused as to what's right or wrong or good or bad or beneficial or detrimental... not to themselves alone ofc, but to everyone and everything), and to care in ways that often remind of bullying, or remind of caring but often show that most of all everyone's minding their own business. Somewhere in that tho, there is a good percentage of people who are trying to be balanced. I hope so, at least. I don't think I've met anyone truly belonging to that category tbh, and I wouldn't blame the date and era for that. 80s or "meta" 20s, the essence of difference between kindness and cynicism remains the same. And it's certainly not always that the kind of music one finds something relatable in, indicates the overall mentality of the person, but things that feel "pink" or nostalgic, I guess they don't get visited much by certain kinds of ppl unless it's for trolling and that part you mentioned as a personal experience from back then. The best period was 1995-2013 or something narrower like 2002-2009 (I was depressed half that period but I definitely had more fun, and let's not analyze all the reasons behind that, but it is due to many circumstances and changes to environments, and ppl's psychology - it's so hard finding someone truly open& normal now compared to previous decades, or... perhaps I've not been in the right places yet). Closing this, I'm not entirely sure what I was trying to say initially and why, but I think and hope it'll be obvious to you :p Guess it was about each era not being at fault, in conjunction with our own luck and experiences on a personal level, but... _a lot_ more (and more important points) in between 😁
@@orlandogloom5409 First, thank you for your personal thoughts - Really! you really took a lot of time of this comment and that's why i try to give some thoughts myself. It is a deeply important topic for me as well. Whether when I was younger or now in the present day, I've sadly observed discrimination from people across all societal strata. It genuinely saddens me that this remains one of the most significant issues we face. i mean, we have developed so fast technologically in the last decades, but this issue is lagging behind... I am totally with you on the fact that bullying, racism, and other forms of discrimination might change over time, the "core essence" still is alive. Your shoutout to the 1995-2013 and 2002-2009 periods? For me totally relatable. Every era's got its ups and downs, and it's wild how the world around us can shape our personal vibes and headspace. And yeah, while tunes or certain times might not spill all the beans about someone's mindset, they can give us a peek into their world or bring back at least some positive energy. Thats why music for me is so important. To dive into a world who gives me the energy, feelings and vibes I personally need right now. And in the end we should all be aware that while we are products of our time, we also have the agency to shape our destinies and influence the world around us. Thanks for sharing your two cents. Stay awesome and keep those insights coming! ✌
I just discovered your channel today and man this sounds so good. I wasn't around during the 80s but man this makes me with I was born 10-20 years earlier. Thanks for this awesome content, hope you make more.
I really like the "cover art," as we once might have called it, for this video. The girl's facial expression makes me think that she has been caught here in a moment of thoughtfully encountering some person or situation that is new in her life, trying to critically assess its significance or importance to her, or maybe to the world in general. She just looks serious, as if the artist captured a moment when she was grounded in her world as it was at the time, maybe just before some big decision that had ramifications for her life, perhaps all the way until the present day. I realize it's just art, but it makes me wonder if this were a real person, with her image captured on canvas in the 80s... what would she be up to today?

@brandonplays236 that's very well put. I can agree on the feeling. I was fortunate enough to be born in 80 but I get the same feeling when I listen to old classic swing music that was out way before my time..
Same mate
Thank you for allowing me to re-live some of my favourite 80's memories through this mix... long live the synthwaves!!!😎
Отличная музыка... Настроение 80-х отлично передает. Однозначно в подписку.

Yeah 10 is my fav. 7 is really good too.
Родился в 1982 году, 80-е года лучшее время, время детства! 😊

This mix does some magical things to my soul. Thank you so much for making such a great playlist! Such a banger mix from start to finish 🤩🤩
As a teen in the 80s growing up to hairbands
I approve of this
My brother would of loved this
He got me into this
Now he's dead
I once held a strong aversion to synthwave, but I must admit, it possesses a certain enchanting magic that seems to have disappeared from modern movies and shows. It's a captivating genre that evokes a nostalgic charm, reminding us of a time when such melodies were a cinematic treasure. Your perspective has opened my eyes to its unique allure, and I'm grateful for this newfound appreciation.
its that exact feeling that got me so insanely hooked on stranger things when i first watched it
yup ! my thoughts exactly ! 😎
Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you like the music. I wish you a happy and merry christmas time!
Absolutely beautiful very soothing and relaxing. Have a nice day my friend
Definiitely captures the spirit of the 80ies. Cool! 😃 Reminds me a lot of C64 or Amiga demo tracks from back then. 😃👍
This is the best study music ever! I love this synths and beats... so relaxing and happy. Love the graphic, too.
I discovered synthwave by mistake. It was a suggestion and I thought it, by the name, it sounded weird. Glad I decided to now!!!!! Perturbator is my favorite artist hands down.
I also recommend listening to the song *MCH - Wyluzuj* 😀👍
Sometimes it gives me a drum and bass vibe :) soo many great tracks here, awesome!! Really happy I saw this beautiful thumbnail and clicked directly on it. Great work!
MUY BUENO LO QUE LEI EN ESPAÑOL , LOS 80 ACA EN MI PAIS TAMBIEN FUERON LO MEJOR DEL PLANETA , NUESTRA ADOLECENCIA VIVIDA SANAMENTE , FUE LO MEJOR SOLO NOS QUEDA RECORDAR ESOS MOMENTOS ..GRACIAS POR LA MUSICA RELAX, DE TU SET!!!
Track 3 hits hard! I like the title, "Sunrise Surprise" "Sunset Silhouette" songs are very reflective in nature
4 years later and your advice is still going strong. thank you for these videos frankie XD
I have not had an exciting mix catch my attention this way for so long ♥
the first track makes me feel like being together with my love after there was no hope and now there will be happily ever after. I can almost see her face, smiling, almost but not quite...
I have been listening to this on repeat since the first upload. I love it.
👍
Den Zeitgeist einer grandiosen Dekade perfekt eingefangen. Danke.
Translation:
Perfectly captured the zeitgeist of a terrific decade. Thank you.
actually a ridiculously good mix. thank you for this. upbeat and enjoyable to work to.
Hehey digging the The Expanse profile pic! I wish The Expanse had more fanfare.
Born in '84, this music takes me back to my childhood in the late 80s and 90s, this and my dad's gel free voluminous hair.
80's FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm a decade apart from the 80's ... but i relate so much to the nostalgic vibe .... i'm not even close to the arcade theme it was so far away from my reality tho my fam couldnt afford stuff beyond food and rent so me and my two brothers were raised in such a simple enviroment but i still can hear my dad telling his stories about how he used to hear this type of music on radio stations
The visual art is stunning also!

The background is so gorgeous, I want to dive into it right now! =~)
Stop being a creep
why no one talking about how amazing is that artwork 😘👌👌
AI generated
It looks like a grown up version of Sadie from Stranger Things and the music fits
@@chrisbreezy-ryanbarbosa4320 I was gonna go with Hermione from Harry Potter, but that works too.
The art is absolutely no way 1980s looking.
@@matepoon yeah maybe, but still dope
Could replay this mix 24hrs solid, some reason brings a tear to my eye.
Thank you❤
This definitely took me back to the 80’s I was mainly in to rock back then but as I’ve got older I pretty much listen to anything. This however did actually remind of the days down the arcades with friends and 80’s movies lol great stuff 👍🏻
Awesome art!
Its AI right?

I'm form 92... Till 2020 I never knew about the synth musics. But I don't know I feel a strong connection with these musics now.....
Muito foda! Sou de 77, essas batidas me trazem uma nostalgia sem igual!!!
80s kid here. LOVE IT. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT
Bela playlist. Ótima vibe .Obrigado pelo belo trabalho!
Hallo Ted.
Vielen Dank!!!!
Grüsse aus Luxemburg!!!
Тоже из 80х ! Музыка классная, дух времени ощущается ! Спасибо
Love how tracks 5-8 build on each other.
Its the music and visuals for me. Thank you so much for a such a great vibe
Duuude, what a great mix it is! I'm in love with the girl on the graphics, too.
This mix is so good! Thank you for sharing it with us!
Certified 💯% 80's Nostalgia
I am grateful Heavenly Father created a world where people with different music styles and tastes can sit and chill together listening to the sounds of yesterday.
The artwork is absolutely killer
@@herzeliedstein573 I like the girl in the picture
This is my favourite 80s synthwave, i always gravitate back to it
Rare mix. Active but chill. Awesome!! Thank you!! 😊
Part of me wants to point out the current situations regarding even heavier bullying and everything similar (racism etc) being in front of us and us being in denial but I do remember that at younger ages things were more raw... that's worse or better than nowadays depending on who you ask, I guess.
...But part of me really wants you and everyone to know that no matter how shallow and cynical some were to us and us to others, there's some hope for everyone to change, if they realize how stupid and selfish they've been instead of ending up feeling *proud* (of) themselves... well, yeah, in the end let's not hide from the fact that so many don't (want to) change and they love that behavior, and all the complexes behind the domination and immaturity, the absolutism and the self-inflicted prophecies they were taught to see as normal, even the self-loathing and the miserable and self-destructive part, and the trendier global death wish -_-
Personally, I'm not sugarcoating or beautifying anything.
Closing this, I'm not entirely sure what I was trying to say initially and why, but I think and hope it'll be obvious to you :p
Guess it was about each era not being at fault, in conjunction with our own luck and experiences on a personal level, but... _a lot_ more (and more important points) in between 😁

First, thank you for your personal thoughts - Really! you really took a lot of time of this comment and that's why i try to give some thoughts myself.
Track 5!! 😍🤩 Another amazing mix! Waiting as patiently as possible for the previous and this one to hit Spotify!! 🙏
They will come. Promise!! Takes unfortunately always some time until Spotify releases the tracks ✌️
Born in 92' but still remember all those old VHS and walkmens 😭😭😭
❤ the artwork. It's phenomenonal

@@xensoldier what's unethical about that?
I actually know a girl that looks exactly like the one in the artwork. Well, 9 billion people on the planet, so I guess that is not very unlikely.
