Iceland, as well as the other Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway) all have a very relaxed view of relationships. Marriage is something that is often not seen as something important. Nordic people also tend to not show a lot of affection. Personal space is very important.
This is good to know! Corona is not a chill person so they will inevitably clash.
@@nikkifacesrealitynot to say that Nordic people don’t take relationships seriously but we just don’t necessarily strive for marriage. We have a “sambo” culture where you can just live with your partner and that’s more serious than just dating or boyfriend/girlfriend

But on the other note, hookup culture is huge here. Marriage isnt exactly a thing, so there are plenty of bachelors till their forties or fifties even. You’d be lucky to meet a native Icelander who is definitely not into exploration and wants commitment- at least with the ones I have around me. I have to say as someone who has grown up here, sometimes I fall under that umbrella. Sometimes.
