- A Song written in 1991 by Apimeleki Ratulevu, for the 100th year anniversary of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fiji, was sung by the Suvavou Adventist Youth, but was never recorded, nor shot on Video, until 2010, when these very talented young people from Suvavou, Recorded it in less that 4 hours, with Sakeasi Tuni Senibulu (Tai Buda) as sound engineer. Locked in the studio by Joe Talemaitoga, with food and drinks, they had no option but to get it done. Some of the boys weren't yet born when this song came out in 1991, so they came up with the name NEXT GENERATION to call the group put together just for this one song.

I have been to New Zealand and Australia, but unfortunatelly never been to Fiji! Im Hungarian from Budapest, my country is in Central-Europe-that is more than 17000 thousand kilometer from my hometown. But I had known personally someone, a geographical Professor( He has been died at Age 70 in 1994) who visit Fiji in 1972 ! He has been also to Samoa and Tonga Island, in this combination he visit Suva, on the main Island of Viti Levu! He has wrote a book about his journey. In his book, which was printed in 1987, he was a guest to an original Fijian family, whose name was: Waisiki, and he had a big familiy of some 3 cute children. He enjoyed much, and he wrote very positively about the warm-hearting, guest-friendly Fijians! From his book, which I just read 5 years ago, I find personally Fijians very beautiful people, and have been convinced from this video. I think Fijians are very welcoming to us Europeans!

Thanks! I will try to locate that book, written by a Hungarian geography teacher, once teached me in the gymnasium during the 1980s. Yes, he went to Fiji in 1972, but since than Fiji has probably much changed! He was with a big family, called Waisiki for a week or so. One of his little child is pictured in his book, the professor called this little beautiful cute child: Angel. So little "angel" is pictured with his father Waisiki holding in his arm. My teacher( Mr. Balazs Denes, who passed away in 1994 at age 70) said about the native Fijians and mentioned in his book that they are very intelligent people with a big heart! They live undisturbed for centuries in a beautiful natural environment! Fiji is truly a paradise with some 800,000 beautiful and happy people! Long live Fiji, which give whole-heartly, warm welcome to fellow Hungarians!
