  • Join me for a weekend of unwinding and relaxing with beautiful river views as I solo camp for the first time. This weekend I'm in the Crudine River area of NSW, Australia.
After a few 4x4 river crossings I find a perfect spot along the river that is shaded by lovely pine trees. I spend the rest of the afternoon soaking up the views and enjoying a warm and sunny day as we start to head towards Autumn.

And just a tip... put your eggs in the pan on top of the bacon when turning the bacon over to the uncooked side. it keeps everything nice and hot for eating.

That's a good tip, haven't actually seen that before. Will definitely do that!

Your videos are great when someone is extremely at it's wits end and exhausted! There are so many "scary camping" videos for views that finding one with silence and tranquility is so far and few. This place reminds me of Neurum Creek up North Queensland. Have you been there?

Glad you like them! I can totally relate after most weeks, get out and about is the best way to calm the mind. I havent been to Neurum Creek but it looks like a treat so we'll be sure to add it to the list for when we visit QLD!

We are enjoying your vids. Can we ask, are you happy with the Patrol, and given your experience with it, would you recommend it. We are thinking of upgrading our 3.0 litre Patrol to a new V8 petrol. Any advice is greatly received.

Thanks mate. Yeh I love the patrol, heaps of grunt, smooth ride, plenty of room and quite reliable.. For me it's a great touring/offroad rig and I can't see myself changing anytime soon. I'm hoping to do a bit of a run down vid in the next month so I'll go through bits and pieces in a bit more detail. But happy to answer any questions you might have. That said, I do love a good GU/GQ (just can't go wrong with any patrol really ;))
