Wasn't "tsuki wa shinai" was his vocal theme in xrd. Cus I know the other one "as worthless as the sun above the clouds" was his GG2 overture boss theme but thinking again there was some vocal adlib stuff going on so that counts I guess.
I wonder how he's going to be nerfed considering a lot of people want that, and usually if there's enough complaints - warranted or not - a developer tends to listen to the community. He definitely hits insanely hard with little effort, but personally I love it, both playing as him and against him. I would be fine with a good damage nerf if I can still somewhat mix and pressure and do kara stuff. Maybe some of his plus frames will get reduced?
Oh yeah, I forgot Super Mappa Hunch, people don't like fullscreen punishes, I get that. The thing is, I already abused that as Chipp who has a fullscreen call-out super. I forgot the name, I just called it the asshole super because man, who wants to be punished for pressing a button full screen? Judging those two next to each other, though, Chipp's super can hit the air while SMH can be jumped over easily. SMH has more consistent invulnerability as it travels while Chipp could sometimes be hit out of a really really big disjointed hitbox or projectile if it was already out fullscreen, but that is a rare interaction.
I think people's biggest issue right now is K-mappa hunch, it just needs more minus frames or needs it's startup or travel speed reduced. Because right now it functions way too good as a neutral skip with practically zero downside, as even when blocked you can sometimes steal a turn back, and with meter you're in the perfect position to start running oppressive offense
I would say that a solid nerf would be worse frames on mappa hunch. To enhance his "power" subclass. It's fine if he oneshots me once he gets in, but his neutral should be harder to pilot
Oh there are downsides to Mappa hunch it's technically a worse May dolphin K mappa is -2 on block and can be 6P'd or thrown if you block it, you don't even need to IB (except for if they space it well) But that's only when they're relying on it to play neutral for them if they are waiting for you to press a committal button from far before they k Mappa to catch your startup or recovery, then you have successfully conditioned them to stop auto piloting k mappa in neutral Of course this is way easier said than done but it can be done👍
