My dear friend Shawn, I just wanna say, that I really enjoy, and love your extremely entertaining and very entertaining road trips.!!!especially since I myself, when I was a healthy Youngblood such as yourself was quite the explorer. As for me, at the age of 70, and barely a shadow of my former self, I am so very grateful that our Lord Jesus 🙏❤♥🙌💖💗🙏 has blessed me with your wonderful channel
Your videos should be on the tv they are that good. Looking forward to the rest of them. Never been to Scotland it’s great to see what it’s like. 😄😄😄👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Glad to see you posting again, Shawn. The NC500 is on the ‘bucket list’ for my wife and myself. Enjoying being on the road with you. Looking forward to the rest of the stunning scenery to come. Take care. From a Scottish subscriber. 😊🏴
Absolutely awesome video on your part Shawn. You have tapped into the cradle of modern civilization that is Scotland. Your scenes are breathtaking, and your monologue is truly heartfelt. Thank you.
Already watched day 2 stunning vistas! Can I just say I love Scotland! 💗And you're right for one person I have a 4-cylinder suv the 2 back seats lay down flat makes to a full size very very comfortable bed. That would be the only way to do it. you're not having to rush to get to your hotel. Very smart Shawn. Can't wait to see the rest of the videos! If I'm not mistaken around Inverness is where they film most of the Outlander series? Not positive. Thanks so much for taking us along this awesome Journey. And as always safe and happy travels💗 ps 💘 castle 😲 so envious of you guyses castles. Oh and let's not forget the gardens that go along with the castles. The only impressive one I've seen in the 🇺🇸 the closest to a castle with never-ending Gardens that I can think of is in Miami,Fl. Viscaya which has unbelievably survived multiple hurricanes but I suppose it makes your castles in Europe look like a little summer home.lol
Good to have you back in Scotland, great filming and commentary as always Shawn. We live a few miles from Landmark in Carrbridge and we love that you are enjoying your adventure, Jen and Frank
Absolutely brilliant Shawn, only recently discovered your channel and I'm now hooked, great content and your commentary is first class, looking forward to watching all your videos. Thank you.
Very cool to see you travelled up my neck of the woods. Dornoch being my hometown. That old barn/shed at 21:38 has the tyres stored for the banger race each year over summer during the Golspie Gala Week. Just below this plot you should see the track in field from the yearly event.
This is really amazing interesting as well, I couldn't agree more with you there's loads of amazing tranquil beautiful places especially when it comes to castles and the beaches which are my most favorite places, the first castle looked like a combo of Disneyland's fairytale and Harry Potter, I can't wait to see you again in the next vlog, I went to Scotland on a family holiday trip even went to GretnaGreen when I was a kid, its nice going on the road adventures visiting old treasured historic heritage ruins lurking in these beautiful settings, sweet dreams see you on your day 2 of your awesome vlog
I was lucky enough to drive this route last year and I thought it was amazing! Wonderful video Shawn, that eastern area of the NC500 has so many things to see and do, looking forward to the rest of your trip!
Great start to your NC500 adventure. Definitely a good idea to travel counterclockwise, as from a natural scenery point of view, you'll totally be saving the best until last. Looking forward to seeing what you make of the NW coast from Durness down to Applecross, which in my opinion is some of the most amazing scenery in the world (although I do admit to being slightly biased). But yeah, areas such as Assynt and Torridon are just completely out of this world. Looking forward to seeing if you visited Smoo Cave in Durness, and the Geopark at Elphin, as well as the ridiculously picturesque Ardvreck Castle and Kylesku Bridge. So much to look forward to on your journey :-)
Lovely first day Shawn 👍 hi from Australia 🇦🇺 Kiama two hours Sth of Sydney on the coast where I use to live, Kiama Heights had very similar coastal views around the ocean edge. My father is English and I was born in Hendon in England, so I love going on your adventures and hearing your accent and how excited you are! 😊 Keep up the Fantastic work I am looking forward to seeing day 2......Can’t Wait!!! 😃
@@TheSanbrookeAdventures you make me have an instant smile on my face when you start your Vlog my partner Tim also loves watching you as we are both right into travelling/exploring. Tim studied to be a tour guide and actually became a teacher for the travel school in Singapore/Hong Kong before Covid hit, so we really appreciate how well thought out your tours are it does really feel like we’re apart of the trip which we love as at the moment we can’t leave NSW Australia in case our boarder shut again to the other states in Australia 🇦🇺 I also Really loved your tour of NYC as I’ve never had the opportunity to go to America it was fascinating and my nan told me years ago and showed me the photo of her up in the crown of the Statue of Liberty 🗽 just fantastic Shawn..... and I’ll sign off with this quote from someone very lovely 😊 Get out there and have your own Adventures! Until next time 👋 👍💙
Shawn, I have just discovered your 2 channels in the last week or so and I just wanted to say - brilliant stuff. I actually clicked on one of your coaster vids first, enjoyed that so watched a few more, subscribed and then noticed that you have this 2nd channel which is even more up my street! Your presentation skills are superb and your video is always crystal clear. Really looking forward to checking out all of your other videos. I used to live just a stone's throw from the Kelpies near Falkirk so it was great to see that video. I am based on the south side of Edinburgh these days so looking forward to checking out your Edinburgh vids. Great stuff - keep 'em coming! :-)
If you are near North Wales, I would recommend sygun copper mines. It is really cool being able to freely walk through the historic copper mines also you get great views of snowdon and snowdonia national Park.
Nice idea shawn doing tour of the Highlands. The castle at dunrobin looks like a real life Disney castle 👌Highest spoons in the land... ticked!! 👍Car Camping... Hopefully you managed to get showered during your trip 😂
So could you compare this to the Dixie Highway that was a loop connecting Miami and the UP of Michigan (there are a few spurs to it though). The Carpetbagger did a whole road trip on it back in early spring.
Glad you went anti-clockwise, the best way to go as the scenery gets better as you go, whereas clockwise would be a bit of an anti-climax by the time you hit John o groats
Great vlogs as always Shawn. I would love for you to maybe do some experience days from companies like Buyagift and Virgin Experiences. Would that be something you’d consider on your channel?
I'm not sure if I'm correct with this or not, but I think it may be an English thing. So maybe it's the fact he's heading away from London, considers himself to be going 'down'. But yeh, I'd class northwards as going 'up', but each to their own :-)
