Do you have to register your car or add Mexican insurance to cross the border? Did they ask for any paperwork crossing the border. We have our interview next week and we’re taking my moms car but not sure how to go about it I’ve read that we need insurance and a permit others say since Juarez is not passed the 20 miles that we don’t need it.
No I did not get Mexican insurance on my vehicle I also did not have to register it. They honestly don't ask you for anything . Is your mom traveling with you ?
Just have her write a letter saying she give you guys permission to use her car incase they ask for any prof you never know what kind of boarder patrol you will get

Did u have to take your passport since your a US citizen or your birth certificate and social were enough
I had my passport with me. Before you can just do it with you birth certificate but they are getting more sticked at the boarder
Did he get asked for your passport at his interview
I didn't go with him to his interview he went alone . Every case is different
Oh yes I know he said he went alone but they didn't ask him to see proof of your passport
Now you mentioned it I believe they did ask him for both my birthday certificate and my passport at the first appointment
