Wow its good to see Brian Foot Work Green still setting fire to the floor. It was so inspirational just to meet Brian. So through my boi Q and Marji I got to experience what freedom really is thank you Q. Brian I am also big on that Godly shirt u choose to represent, hats off to you guys that make it possible for all types of dancers to go on and beyond. Ty from your friend Alphonso.
As I'm retired from dance since DECEMBER 2019, because the dance world has gotten larger but changed alot for the worse (but that's only 25% of the reason for retirement.....the other 75% is to take care of a disabled family member; the one that started me into dance as a profession since 7 years old). SO, I'm BLESSED to be at home, be able to make money from home, and unlike most great dancers, AND ANSWER/REPLY TO COMMENTS, so people can learn things, hopefully practice, and grow. little fun fact, in the HOUSE DANCE SCENE of the late 80s, it was actually the fashion to wear construction boots and dance....lololol.....and actually wear a suit with some alterations with it. LOVE: THE HUMAN "doing/productive" DNA.
it's ACTually one of my favorites as well, because there's ONLY 8 dancers in HOUSE DANCE that can make me go crazy, and the first 4 don't dance any more. But that's my first what I would call "teacher (meaning, he's the first person I saw in "clubbing/house dance" that I said, "okay, I want exactly what he got, & evolve that if I can"), & his name was, "Rasheem "spanky" Johnson (who was ACTually 2 years younger than me, and I met him when I was 17/18....he was extremely gifted, for me, the best in this DANCE STYLE that I've ever met, because he was fully complete at a young age). After him was a guy named, "Keith "boogie" Williams (r.i.p.), who was a person that was gifted with arms, and put arms to the steps (back in the late 80s/early 90s....amazing to watch & exchange with him). Then it was Shannon "WhichWay sha", who, when I met him, he was ACTually DOING the "traveling skate (it wasn't called that then in 89 when I met him), but I was surprised he was DOING this, because two dancers named Damien & Mike were doing this 2 years before I met Sha, and I connected with Sha through that nostalgia. But, then I saw Sha grow into something else, "an abstract groove bandit".....along with him, who I didn't dance with much, but LOVED TO WATCH, was Ramir Sellers (Caleaf's little brother), he was fun to watch, because he had this fun, young, footwork/floorwork style that always looked like he was gonna fall, BUT NEVER DID; extremely funky. Then there's Derrick "STOREY", which is the first person I saw do fast footwork, that had a bit of a Tap dance flavor (and I'm a tap dancer since 7 years young), but I knew he didn't know how to tap dance. But I CONNECTED with him EASILY because I loved his interpretation of tap steps, and then the CREATIVITY the CREATOR gave him to keep time in a triplet or 16th note ALL NIGHT. Another one, in this genre I loved to watch was a woman named PENELOPE (didn't dance with her much, like Ramir, BUT LOVED TO WATCH HER).......all 4 mentioned were my favorites TO DANCE WITH (but there were MANY I LOVED TO WATCH...too many to mention on this COMMENT), and brought different things out of me when I danced with them. After those 4 stopped or died, it became DANCERS y'all KNOW: SHAN S (the king of full HOUSE DANCE, meaning, GREAT FOOTWORK & FLOOR WORK)....and just add EJOE (king of FLOOR WORK IN TIME) with him (which will make the 4 y'all KNOW that are alive). SHA (who stayed around, but I rarely see him. But if someone had a video camera at the last event we were together in NY....Saddiq, him, Future, and I were in ORBIT) Marjory "Larj Marj/Lotus" Smarth (r.i.p.), because I watched her change from the late 80s, to bringing her back to dance in my group World Soul Inc, and then the first couple years of DF & the HDC event (vids I put up), she become this CONNECTED woman in dance that I always wanted masses to see, that I saw in the late 80s when she was REALLY into DANCING. When she and I danced together, it was always what people see in the vids, "real, raw, fun, & a merge of gifts". In the clubs, we were just dancing like a brother and sister. FUTURE (here in this video), who is my FUSION spirit in HOUSE DANCE. He ALWAYS has me bring out the other DANCE STYLES I've learned in life when I see him DANCE; as y'all see in this video. I write all this, to say, it's only a great demo, because of the people I'm exchanging with. LOVE: THE HUMAN DNA
@@hamiamiam yeah, in MANY ways, DEFINITELY agree with you, BUT, AFTER all these decades of DANCING, DEFINITELY KNOW that MANY things of a SCIENCE/SPIRITUAL NATURE are NOT going to be ALLOWed to be filmed/documented, because it's TRUTH/LOVE spontaneously; best DANCING ever SEEN is in the dark corners when MANY KNOW no ones watching, because that infared light is felt, & hinders releasing a bit.
