Great video! The only thing I see going WRONG if Luke didn’t go to Bespin, would be the possibility of Vader taking Leia & discovering she’s his daughter early on. That could have been bad.
I agree, if Luke did not go to Bespin, then Vader could have paid more attention to Leia and Chewbacca being transported to his shuttle, so Lando would not have been able to betray and free them from the Empire.
This was so awesome! I loved Luke in ROTJ but I think this would have been a much better story. Luke was able to control his emotions unlike poor Anakin. Luke had all of the love and devotion of his father but also the strength and patience of his mother in your version. I love your video as always! May the Force be with You!
If he had, he would've been much stronger sooner, but without the compassion to save his friends he'd be the wrong kind of person to save Vader. So I think he'd have killed Vader and fallen to the dark side, since he was already on the knife edge of doing so.
Honestly it makes sense that Luke would take Sidious down so easily. I forgot the book but I recall that Palpatine learned of Luke through a vision where he had trained Luke to his full potential in the darkside and Luke killed Palpatine with ease.
LFG!!!! Loved your content on IG, and you did a perfect job of capturing Luke's psychology. He almost went to Anakin's path by impatiently almost leaving, but decide to complete it in this alternate timeline.
Bro, you have a gift. You've elicited goosebumps in this story, and tears in the 'What If Darth Vader Survived ROTJ' story from last week. If Disney wants to get this beloved, but embattered, IP back on track, they should delve deep into the excellence of Fan Fiction written by TRUE Star Wars fans on YT. Like my guy Retney's Holocron. Have an open competition, and take the top three stories to film/TV production. Then watch the fans come back in DROVES...it's not rocket science. There's far more talent here than what's under roof at Disney. They need to bite the bullet and just admit it. Keep up the great work. I absolutely LOVED this.
@@mcasmcas6208 remember that this would be a great combination and strong story , however Kathleen Kennedy is still there and would do everything in her position to scuttle this
This was awesome. Just wanted to say that I’ve been getting into voice over work and was curious if you would ever want to add some voices to your videos like this? :) amazing story, wish this was a “tales” episode lol
I think that if Luke had stayed and trained with Yoda, once he was more connected to the Force, he would have discovered Vader was his Father on his own.
I am really enjoying your fan fiction. Please keep the stories coming. It’s a shame that fans can develop better audio dramas, stories and short films than Disney.
Not bad. The ending felt a bit rushed though. I know we can assume Luke rescued Han, Chewie and Leia, but it felt like there should be more to the story at the end. Like how Luke would take his father's death. Or how he would help dismantle the empire, or start a new Jedi Order.
@@RetneysHolocron Sorry I mean - after Palpatine and Vader - him going out to save his friends and what happens from there - we know the Empire has the second Death Star - I would like a detailed telling of those adventure. BTW you're a good writer and storyteller so throw us a bone.
I think that Yoda only surrendered his spirit to the force because, as he told Luke, "No more training do you require". I imagine he would've held on until Luke was knighted
Jedi Force ghosts make no sense. As if the Light Side would tolerate a user demanding to keep themselves instead of rejoining the Force. It's the Sith trying to dictate and control things.
No offence but i dont think luke will reach his full potential that quickly. Although like the progression: Luke farmboy to jedi master Vader broken slave to redeemed man and i think anakin if the ahsoka series is anything is a force god
@@clarkkent8286 true. Luke Skywalker is pretty op in both Canon and Legends with little training. In canon, Luke faces against beings in the Cosmic Force, lifts hundreds of kill droids like nothing, and (possibly) brings down Star Destroyers through the Force in the Battle of Jakku. In Legends, Luke Skywalker was able to reach insurmountable levels of power five years after. He was able to crush AT-AT walkers, deflect blasters from it, defeated a Reborn Palpatine (with the help of Force harmony from Leia), and began a New Jedi Order soon after. Though I do agree Luke wouldn’t reach his full potential so soon, he would be very close given proper guidance and lessons, which he didn’t have in the three to five years during the events of the OG trilogy and after it.
Damn man, this was good. Yoda knighting Luke made me teary.
Always love the son surpassing the father trope in stories like this with Luke surpassing Anakin as a Jedi.
Don’t really care for the movie but the quote from Yoda in TLJ is actually pretty good.
“Luke… we are, what they grow beyond…”
Luke would have lost to Anikan
In my book,he did.
I liked that Luke completed his training and fought Sidious
Luke has become weave nation certified in this story

Vader didn't know about his daughter until luke was on his ship.
If Luke stayed with Yoda. Then Artoo would not have been there to fix the falcons hyperdrive.
Yeah in my story Leia and Chewie were taken prisoner by the empire on Cloud City
Good point, but Darth Vader didn’t alter the deal with Lando for the second time until after there was confirmation that Luke was in the vicinity.

Excellent video sir
Awesome story!!!!!
Wonderful! ❤
Well written. Bravo
This was so well done

If he did stay a good chance we would see a dark side Leia vs luke in return of the jedi
Luke should have always stayed on Dagobah. But he needed to leave. His Father I think had a stake in that.
What say you Grogu Yes Yes Yes 👍
What if ahsoka was the one who betrays the clones on umbara?
🤔: Why did Luke fly into such an obvious trap?
🤓: So the movie can happen.
🙃: That works!
Perfect

What is the name of the song in the first story?
After 3 years he wasn't a Jedi? Should be plenty. I thought he was there 3 weeks or 3 months.
Like no 700. I love this.
I’m glad that he left
I like the what if
Okay, but what about Han, Leia, Chewie, and the state of the rebellion.
You started this...can you finish it good sir?
All of that is covered in the story! 👍

Leia and Chewie would have escaped anyway. Remember it was all Lando’s plan.
What's this background music?
Your interpretation of the events would have caused Lucas to second guess himself had you been around in 1978.
If Luke had remained on Dagobah, wouldn’t Yoda have died shortly anyway? Would the force ghosts have carried on the training?
Probably! But I just kept Yoda alive in this scenario lol
