Maybe slightly, but not much. I’m thinking the maple top and mahogany body make the biggest difference. The chambered section is small and works mainly as a weight relief
I have one that I play metal with, I swapped the bridge pickup with a SD JBjr and it sounds great. Scott Ian used the Charvel version for the Sound Of White Noise album.
So the neck is different than the original? I have the HT (tailpiece, humbucker in the bridge version, I think it's a '95), and the neck is very slim, flat (I believe compound radius), "shredder" type neck, not like a Strat at all. I'm sure it's a great guitar (I have your Senn Model One and it's great), but if it's not like the original, aww man... I still want one, though. Beautiful color as well.
Reading your description, it sounds like they may be different. We aim for a modern-C shaped neck on most models to keep them as comfortable as possible for the largest range of guitarists!
This guitar is very hard to turn down, as just another piece of wood with pick-ups. Looks great, plays great and sound even better. What am I gonna do? Buy it, you say, I"m afraid your right, temptation just to massive, but.. Just shut up and buy the guitar. Okay, if you say so.
That finish was very nice. Hope you'll bring it back when I get around to buy one.
Always loved this model in pictures, though I've never played one!
Try it out! Or order one. They're available now, and we have a 45-day zero-risk return policy!
This guitar looks sooooo clean! Does the chambered body effect the tone at all? I’m more of a rock/metal guy and I would LOVE to get my hands on this!

It’s AWESOME for rock and drive/fuzz tones

I had an original Charvel Surfcaster back in the day.....I just got one of these in a 12/6 flavor....hopefully it's as cool as the original....

@@eastwoodguitarsofficial got it. Yeah, it's definitely a different profile. Much more like my Model One.
