That yellow female budgies nose looks at little bulgy, I would suggest taking her to the vet if you haven’t already, female parakeets have a hormonal thing where a layer of keratin (I might be wrong about the substance) grows on their noses; if it grows too big it can be dangerous and could keep them from breathing

Please, as soon as you can, get your bird a friend. Budgies are social birds and need constant attention from either a human or a partner. Without a mate they can become depressed and stop eating. You might've become your budgies mate, but if you aren't around all the time it might end up badly for the budgie.
You can tell the sex of the bird from their nose. Red-pink is a female and blues are usually males. If you can't tell the sex of the bird, there's a subreddit on Reddit that you can ask. (r/budgies) males and females tend to bond better and two females have a risk of being hostile to eachother. Two males will probably become social with eachother.
@@Oiglyboigly Not all budgies are social. There are some that prefer the solitude and have killed their cage mates. A male having another male added (you can't tell when they are young their sex) have been killed. Same if it's the other way around, or if an opposite sexed bird comes into the cage. If need be, they might have to be separated for a long time before letting them pair together in a cage. It is all in the bird and how he/she feels.
There is something about a budgies song that helps with the day. I had 28 at one time. The chorus was amazing! But, I had to pare them down. It was hard, awful, and I miss it so much. Now, I have my 8 year old little boy who refuses to come out. He lost his sister, then his mom. When his other sister died, he just isn't the same. My 2 green cheeks have bullied him into feeling the cage is the only safe place. This channel has given him a reason to sing again. I get it.
