Drifting is terribly expensive and hard. good luck. your transmission and clutch wont have a good time, tires obviously, your whole engine at that, the body can take damage from going off track many times, flying pieces of rubber can rip off pieces off your body, around the wheels usually.

Theres this manga i've been reading called Mf Ghost and its a story much like Inital D, but this focuses on a different main character, the character is a student of takumi who grew up racing in a top racing school in England winning many throphies in karting, he came to japan to race. Short story he beats the living hell out other racer despite only using a GT86 when his up against modern sport/super cars like GTR,lambo,porsche. Spoiler. Takumi became a professional dirt rally racer in this story. :)

GO AND WATCH THE ANIME YOURSELF.
the AE86 trueno had a 1.6L litre, 16 valve Bluetop 4A-GEU DOHC engine which had exploded after A race which i am not gonna say for spoiler, so they chucked in a new a 1.6 litre, 20 valve Silvertop 4A-GEU (carbureted with dry sump oiling system in the manga).

My second Favourite anime is wangan midnight which i would recommend yall to watch. Its good too as the main character akio asakura bought a Datsun S30Z Fairlady which had the nick name ' Devil Z' . The cars engine was completely swapped from its stock 2.0L SOHC L20A straight-six to a highly modified L28 engine bored and stroked to 3.1L, has triple carburetors (presumably triple twin-barrel carbs as opposed to S30's standard twin carbs), a twin turbo with intercooler that eventually produced a healthy 600 hp. and again i am not gonna say alot i just said the engine specs and the basics x)
There are some good new street racing manga out there now. Probably just need some recognition to continue and not get axed. An example would be “Drive alive” and “SS”
I know Initial D is more popular but Wangan Midnight is more of my Jam. A story about Pushing your car to go faster have more horse power the drive and determination of characters to enter the Wanagn at high speeds and to go even faster. Just like Jeremy Clarkson would say. *Speed and Power* And it is the Arcade game that everyone plays here.
Funnily enough my girl got me into cars when I was 16 she's been the driving factor of my journey lol I've built a mustang and had some races and do alot of touge and grip driving on touge type roads 😂 all because ma girl lol

You could use this energy to find more about cars or the easy way is watch something you've never watched before like I watched nge after initial d so it helped me replace that feeling but instead of easing my mind nge killed me for another week. And then I watched your lie in April and anohana so there you go. Replace your feeling with something new
