- Longshot, the first story mode for Madden, is finally here in Madden 18! It follows the story of Devin Wade, a quarterback from Texas, on his route to becoming an NFL player. Should be fun!

Madden NFL 18 will introduce a story mode known as Longshot, which follows Devin Wade, a quarterback from Mathis, Texas, as he tries to reach the NFL, and will include high school games and college games, as well as the NFL Scouting Combine. It will be the first game in the series to use the Frostbite engine.

After watching this year's career mode I had to come back and watch Longshot! Your commentary puts it over the top hope to see this game mode come back in madden 23!!

If this game takes place in 2017, then after Devin and Colt played football with Devin's dad, it fast forwarded 16 years. Which would mean that the game with Devin's dad took place in 2001, but the Texans weren't a team until 2002.
The dad said "Texans down by 5" then Colt responded with "We ain't the Texans we the Cowboys" so EA needs to get their NFL history together lol

Ngl, EA just rewrote the journey year 1 from FIFA last year to make this mode for NFL. With a hint of the storyline from the Adam Sandler film: Waterboy.
Matthew Barker Not really yes the basic thing is still there I am guessing with his friend betraying him but loads will be different I don't watch American football but I am intrigued by this. Unfortunately I don't think this will last as long as the journey because you can't really go to other countries but end of the day I know nothing about American football.
