I run a Maxxis 5.5 which I love. Because it's more narrow than the 6.5 version it's *very* round so probably the most carvey tire available. It takes a min to get used to but once you do it's hard to go back.
I have a floatwheel and absolutely love it. I just purchased my funwheel and can’t wait to put it together. I did trade out the thunder rails for wtf rails and a kush wide back footpad. One thing I wanted to bring up for the floatwheel is the quality of the plastics are lacking to me. Even with the new plastics the engineering on them creates cracks even if you set your drill to the 1st torque setting. I am on my third footpad and my second bumpers for them. My crop top fenders have cracked three times and replacing my footpad (because of ghosting issues even after setting the fault voltage to 2volts) the two screw hole areas disintegrated. The floatwheel is definitely worth more than the price Tony is selling it for. However, I would Recommend being careful and hand torquing everything when it comes to The plastics.
100% agree on the plastics. But with that being said, I’ve only had one issue with the plastics and that’s two of the screw holes under the fenders were cracked on each foot pad. I hand tightened everything and really should always hand tighten all these boards when putting them back together. I haven’t had any other issues with the plastic besides that and have not had further cracking with the plastics. Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching. You’re going to love your FunWheel. The 2nd FunWheel build I’m doing is with orange steel & deeps.
@@EliteAtlantaHomesso to direct compare to the ADV. FunWheel is lighter, faster and in my opinion more capable. The ADV still has a ton of power. Way better range and with the 50S in the ADV 2 the range will be increased. I think the ADV2 will be right there with the FunWheel. Both FunWheel and FloatWheel boards will blow the FutureMotion boards out of the water at a way cheaper price. I won’t get the ADV2 unless I can sell my ADV for a good price. And I really like my FunWheel builds. Thanks for watching. Would love to hear your experience with the ADV2 when you get it.
@@bleedsblue05esk8 Thanks for the feedback! You can upgrade your ADV to ADV2 components for cost based on what I’ve heard so there’s no need to sell it to get the new version. I’ll probably end up building a Funwheel to try it out. Im in Georgia in the US. How long do you think it’d take to get the Funwheel X7 kit shipped here in the US?
@ I heard the same about an update kit. I just don’t know how they would do a full upgrade kit. Better magnets and a new motor plug means a whole new motor. 50S split battery pack means a whole new battery setup with BMS, and then their new controller. So basically the front and back box, rails and lights are all you’d have left from the ADV1. Honestly I’m only interested in the new BMS so the board isn’t going to shut off if I get voltage sag. If I want to go really fast thats when I get on my Fungi board. As for shipping with Fungi, if their site shows that it is in stock then you’ll get it pretty quick. Like a week, maybe two. If it’s by ship from China then a month. If it’s a preorder on something they are not the best at hitting their projected dates. You’ll be waiting a long time. But since you’ll have the ADV2 it shouldn’t be a big deal.
Both P42 and Samsung 50s have same max discharge rate, which is 45 amps. Samsung 50 has 5000mamphr, whilst molicell p42 has 4200mamphr, so yes the samsung will have longer life, if it was just counting the 1 cell - BUT< we are measuring a whole battery pack, not just one single cell. Now the battery pack configuration is also different. GTS has 27 cells stacked in a series (you calculate the total voltage by adding each individual cell's voltage, which at nominal (50%) charge would be 3.7V. So 27x3.7 = 99.9V. Since it is only 1 battery - it can only discharge at the max current of 1 cell, which is 45 amps. ADV has 20cells stacked in a series which is 20x 3.7v = 74v, and you have a parallel stack, so it's like 2 batteries of 20 cells put side by side, both able to discharge at 45 amps max each, so total current is 90 amps. Because of this, the total power output for the battery packs are calculated as such 99.9v x 45 amps = 4495.5 Watts (for the GTS) 74 x 90 amps = 6660 watts (for ADV) Now for total battery capacity, we multiply the number of cells by the miliamps (the voltage is the same), to measure how much charge they both have GTS = 5000 x 27 = 135000 ( about 135 amp hour) ADV = 4200 x 20 x 2 = 168000 (about 168 amp hour). SO overall, ADV will beat the GTS by maximum power, and maximum capacity in just the battery alone, even before taking the motor into account. The motor - cannon core has max 9 hp (6hp nominal), GTS has max 3 hp. ADV >>>>> GTS, no competition there in terms of stats.
@ Ultimately you wont go wrong with either. A lot depends on what you’re going to use them for. Also, despite them both having their own issues with having to send out fixes for problems, the FunWheel stuff (as in with the comparison to the ADV1), was a better built all around. There was a lot more plastic with the ADV1 and I’m not a big fan of the FloatWheel Axle Blocks. But my guess is that Tony will be fixing a lot o these issues with the next ADV2. I’m sure he will be using better plastics, it’s already mentioned there there will be a better motor plug. And real world use, 50S batteries will have more than enough power for most people while offering a lot more range. So this probably doesn’t help a ton. I just like how much easier it is to customize your board exactly how you want it with Funi. You don’t even have to use all Fungi products to build your board. As for power and capabilities, most average riders would be happy with the ADV1 let alone the added stuff in the ADV2. And the same goes for a Fungi board with the Thor300 in it. The Thor400 will be better but unless you’re racing or doing some crazy hills you probably would be fine with what’s out now.

Commenting for the algo but while I’m here i just want to say watch out ever putting a hyper charger on that adv before upgrading the bms. It’s a fire hazard when charging because it does not protect the fully charged cells if there is one cell out of balance, it will just keep charging. Hyper charging will add more heat and make the fire more likely.
I’ll keep that in mind. But I don’t currently have a hyper charger for the ADV. do you know when the upgraded BMS will be available? thanks for watching.
