    Guys! it is fun!!!!! You gotta go out and enjoy it, click with the neighborhood, crack jokes.. I'm in solar and get all my leads genertaed and I STILL KNOCK! I love having the pressure of having to execute, right off the bat. I knocked yesterday.. Talked to 8 people, booked 5 appointments all in a hr half! Relax guys and just go out to be a good person and help someone out, rather than being a SALESMAN!

      I quit last year cuz I had another job and it was too much to do with bartending. Had no luck for weeks. This year it’s all I’m doing and I’m dedicated. I had 4 meetings today and 3 sales this week. Take notes from this channel. Learn how to help people, not sell to them. Relate to them become their friend first if possible. Read the room well. Also the best trick to get on the roof everytime is “ hey it’s no obligation, you go in kick your feet up, I hop up real quick, snap some pics and then come down and show you the damage or lack of, and we proceed from there. Do you have a problem with me hopping up there to check it out?” That last sentence is killer.

    Ok I own a contracting company & I can't keep canvassers to save my life. The fact is social media & doing shows is the way to go. Its not like it was 20 years ago. People don't trust people like they used to. The worlds changed unfortunately & not in a good way. I had a couple canvassers that were threatened by homeowners & dogs nearly attacked them. These companies that send out these uneducated kids to get the lowest sale commissions make me sick! Solicitation in many ordinances are against the law. These big wig companies promise these kids "golden opportunity" & market "make 5k a week no experience necessary". It's all a scam. Canvassing is being phased out & its probably for the best.

    • @captmaverickable
      @captmaverickable 6 месяцев назад +1

      Canvassing is a no cost way for companies to advertise. Commonly they can get away with hiring them as 1099 contractors. This way they only get paid if they set appointments that close. It benefits those who are willing to learn and get better. That being said it absolutely is out of style and social conditioning has programmed homeowners to hate D2D. But on the flip side most people will click an ad without thinking. Social Media is the present and if you aren’t utilizing it then you are missing out on massive upside potential.

    What is your typical closing rate from a retail perspective?

    • @TheRoofStrategist
      @TheRoofStrategist  2 года назад +3

      Hey Jeff, Great question. "Typical" is a hard question to answer. Why? Because it LARGELY depends on #1) If you are following a sales process #2) If your estimates are prepared in advance so you can 1-call close (and NOT have to come back for a second visit) and #3) How competitive your market is. On the low end I'd like to see 40% minimum. On the high end, 70% +.
      That being said, there are quite a few members inside the Pitch Pro Movement who are using my CARPARK Closing formula and sustaining 76%-86% close rates on retail (average) with weeks that have hit 100% (obviously not sustainable - but damn impressive).

    Hey, I ran into somebody I know and he sells insurance, apparently. He told me this stuff is what a lot of people use to escape the consequences of poor maintenance. We ran into a dude with a huge house the other day. His roof is trash. It's four layers and a disco. But, it's trash because he's not a responsible homeowner. Could I go through the process present wind and hail damage evidence, of course. Do I want to? I'm beginning to wonder. Either he gets a brand new roof for nothing, or he gets a huge depreciation cost at the back end... it's a little disappointing but the guys training me expect me to do this. Does anyone have any thoughts on this stuff?

      If there is LEGIT damage, you have a claim. If there's not, you don't. If you think you see some, call it in. Best case, they get a new roof using their insurance. Worst case, they are in the same exact situation.

      @TheRoofStrategist  3 года назад +1

      Hey buddy, great questions and thanks for the comment.
      1) Offering a FREE Inspection is great, so long as you present the offer at the right time: ruclips.net/video/5I6kYwLD29A/видео.html
      2) We never know what a roof will look like until we are up there. Unless it was JUST replaced. But if you hear this objection, try this: ruclips.net/video/7c3h9vG03Sk/видео.html
      3) Setting appointments doesn't change much in the process. The only thing that changes is asking for the appointment instead of the inspection on the spot. This approach will work for setting appointments too: ruclips.net/video/QbMzbFc2RDA/видео.html
