Great call out on building apps. As a UX Designer, we need to define what problem we are solving, who are we solving it for, and the customer journey of the app. Otherwise, we just start publishing trash that no one cares about. At your point, it won't matter what tool we use if we don't have those fundamentals in place.
Aspiring software dev and let me tell you something, I watched when Flutter Flow released years ago and it was NOTHING compared to this! This makes the development process SO much easier and MY GOD this is powerful thanks for making this detailed tutorial I am currently rebooting an old project I have been dying to make and this video has sparked me to get back on it!!!!

Thanks so much. I am new to App creation and was looking around as to what software is used to create new apps and found FlutterFlow and your excellent introduction. I am wanting to create an app for our Scouts club and make the experience individual to the member when they are logged in. Like show them what badges they have earned so far etc.. and also to book trips and make payments for such. Then allow access to learning material. So what you have described today is really helpful, thank you. I am now going to start on the backend database so I can hopefully customise the screen with the users accreditations based on say Badge 1 = 0 or 1 and if 1 display the badge on their page :-) Anyway I am sure this has been done somewhere before. Thanks for all the help, looked through some of your videos and they've all been great help. For the project I am working on, I am looking for a way to overlay my own text and images over google maps (or any other map design), when you click a location on said map. For example like when you click on a resturant on google maps all their info pops up. Can I accomplish this on FF?

Thanks for the nice Tutorial Doc. Been going through your older videos to learn about FF as I am just embarking on my NoCode journey, and I can see that some stuff are different.
Does FlutterFlow have the capability to build an app that processes live video and audio and give real time feedback using AI? I’m also not sure whether I should use firebase or supabase for the Backend for my use case.
Anyways I’d love to connect with you if possible if you provide consultation services for beginners like myself. I’m trying to be more efficient with time and money instead of learning outdated or non relevant tools.

Depends on the outcome that you want. For example feedback, what type of feedback? Does the user have to interact with the results after?
In general it is possible using other LLMs that could integrate with FlutterFlow.

I am wondering if FlutterFlow support offline mode, incase the internet connectivity is not there, that it save the changes locally and after the internet connectivity is established then sychnronize the changes. 2nd Q: I using REST API for my company databaase. for that I have to use authentication mechanism where token has to be refreshed. is there any possibility to do that in Flutterflow. I Thank you again, for your content. it is really Informative.
Hey glad it was helpful! To answer your question- yes, it's possible to have an offline line mode for the db to sync when you're back online. This will take a custom approach based on the actions you're saving etc but it is possible. Please note I would first go into the FF community or pay for an expert to walk you through options and the extent and actions you do in offline mode.
Answer to 2nd Q: I would have to know more details about the auth and tokens but in the API advanced settings and refer to the documentation here- docs.flutterflow.io/data-and-backend/api-calls/api-calls-101#headers
but in general, I believe this is possible but I can't give a complete answer without knowing the specifics.

Very useful video, learnt a ton! Is it possible to populate listview dynamically? So instead of selecting an existing collection, we could have a button that generates a collection of documents for the user that is signed in, and displays those documents in a listview under the button?
Glad it was helpful! I don't see why you couldn't but you would have to build out the logic and depends the exact way you set up your backend database but in general I think that could be done.
There are some details you would need to consider but in general the functionality you describe you could do in FF.
Doc, How are you. I am designing a new version of my fishing tournament app. The app allows a user to create a tournament, invite anglers to the private tournament, specifies what type of fish are allowed, scoring types, etc. Lots of variables. App allows for notifications when other users submit a catch. Needs an tournament directors backend for large tournaments to verify catches with photos, etc. Needs overall admin backend for problem logins, etc. Is this something that Flutter can do? There is lots of reporting on the app that can get complicated. So much more.
Hey great question! From what you're describing yes that's possible. Rehgarding the reporting I think building it with essential stats and scaling the functionality overtime is key to make sure the information and dashboards are concise and it doesn't become too overwhelming but in general yup the platform can the functions you're looking for.

Great video, not sure if anyone mentioned but I was having the same issue making my own documents too like at 32:40 .... Turns out it was the image upload messing up the functionality!!! It only worked for me after linking my images through the URL option.

Hi Doc. Thank you so much for the video, very helpful. I just tried navigating each section on my FlutterFlow screen and there was no "Adding New Page" (the green "+" button) available. There was only the "AI Generated Page" button. So now I can only play around on one page, and could not add any new pages to try the connecting action. Can you kindly advise on how I can fix this? Hi I’m very new to this, I’m planing on making an app that enables users to create packing lists for going on holiday or on trips. The idea is that you can organise everything you need to pack and have functionality to tick items off the list when you have packed them. I am also planning on adding a feature where you can add the weight of an item and then the total weight of your luggage is calculated. Within Flutterflow would it be possible to import a library of the weight of items, or create one myself, of common items, and then have it so that when someone adds, say a MacBook to their list, it is able to find the weight of it from the library then add it to the weight section? Hopefully this makes sense, my plan is to start with very basic functionality and then build from there, just curious if this would be possible somewhere down the line. Thanks for the video.

In general yes. You could do this a few different ways.
For example, you can do that being creating a collection of different items that have weights or you could create a page for users to be able to add to the overall database for the app so now other users could select common items.

Great question. At the time my coding skills were very low and that's why I chose no code tools like FlutterFlow. For the landscape of all no code tools FlutterFlow does have a steep learning curve on the level of bubble (their workflow and framework are totally different though).
Softr is the easiest and glide is very beginner friendly but FlutterFlow you do need to understand the key principles to use the platform.
In general I would first start with- what is your goal with the platform? Are you trying to build a specific type of applications or learn become an expert of the platform to get clients etc.

Hey great question! I have looked at that template in a while but in general, templates like that one is helping you get ahead with the format of the app but for it to work like IG you need a database attached and build a lot of the actions you want.
If you can give more details of your current skill level with no code builders and experience with APIs or databases I can give some more details that might help you.

Hi Doc, I followed your tutorial but received a message saying ‘Error creating Firebase project - you must accept the GCP and Firebase terms of service to create a Firebase project’. There are links to click but nowhere on those links does it allow me to accept terms of service. Can you please clarify what I need to do?
Hey great question! Those errors can occur for a few reasons. Number #1 are signed into multiple gmail accounts in one browser?
If so sometimes that occurs.
Second if you are in just one gmail account when you go to accept the terms what do those screen work like exactly? Are they error pages? Or are they fully loaded pages?

Great question! It's possible but depending on the functionality you're looking for.
For example if you have user logins etc could go sideways but if you're referencing the same data for search could work.
It just depends on the type of app and how the user is interacting with the data.

Great question! How familiar are you building with no code tools?
In general you need the staff to input their info in a form element to submit the information and it will save in the database (that you need to set up in firebase or supabase etc).
Regarding getting information from a database it depends what you mean. Are they interacting with the data or only viewing it?
So in general I would first write out the actions needed in the app to plan out the functionality you need for flutterflow or any platform you want to use.

They put in data, someone else at a later time should review the data and add data and pictures to it. Based on some kind of code they have to be able to review the data and change it. @@janbons5861 gotcha that really depends on the APIs you're using. I don't know the specifics with jotform and if from the form it's saving to airtable, google sheets etc. but it could be possible if you're using a REST API from jotform to a database like supabase or something.

Apps made by flutterflow are they laggy? I worry about lag and bugs and issues after a while of it being launched. How often does it need updated?
Great question! In general no but it'll depend on your database design with APIs etc.
In general, no there shouldn't be an issue with lag like other no code platforms.
Regarding updating because it's cloud based the updates will be automatically for your application in the building process.

Hello Doc. Can you help me solve the problem in Flutter Flow?
My problem is this: in my application there are categories, and each category has its own products. The home page has a search function, that is, there we can find products by name. Each product also has a geolocation. The problem is that when we search through search and find a product, the geodata on the Google map shows correctly, but when we go to the product through categories, the location is the same for everyone. Although each product has individual data.

@@varunpai3435 gotcha no problem! There are some language models that are capable of doing text to music but if you’re trying develop your own app at this time you would need to have some experience coding.
That might change in the next few months because the rapid releases of new features but at this time you need to be able to code use the LMs.
If things change I’ll update you or make a video if it’s a popular subject.
Please keep in mind there are platforms that allow you to do AI music Generators now but you I have not seen evidence to do this with no code for yourself at this time.

How about having the proper knowledge & skills FIRST? So many of these tools AND the content creators all pushing these videos making it appear to be so simple and that anyone can just get FlutterFlow and build an app, IMO, is disingenuous.
Sure Flutterflow makes it simpler, but nobody is gonna just fire up FF and create an app of any substance. You as a creator should actually push more content on the VERY basics and how to learn the very basics.. THAT would generate you more subscribers and following. That is who the REAL market is, TRUE beginners.

First up- yes I agree FlutterFlow isn't for a complete beginner in the no code space.
It depends on your current skill level with visual builders. For example I don't recommend bubble for the first tool someone learns either. This is a beginner course for FlutterFlow.
The question I would first start out with is why are you trying to learn the platform? What idea do you have? What is your current skill level?
No platform is perfect and that's why this channel has about 350+ videos exploring different tools that can help people.
