I’ve had the previous version for about 2 years. It has worked great as an EDC, material has held up very well. I like the upgrade to the straps and back panel but agree that the loss of the side pocket is huge-the backpack is minimal enough as it is and losing a whole compartment makes the rest of the bag messier to pack. I just moved on to the Moment Everything 17L because it offers slightly more organization and a water bottle pocket both of which the Granville(s) lack. Thanks for the review!
The back panel on the new model is highly abrasive. It will destroy Atom LT in a few weeks. it will destroy your shirts. I have no idea who decided to choose a cheese grater as a back panel for a backpack but here we are. Also, the loss of additional pocket is an inconvinience. However, the styling is better than before and shoulder straps are also an improvement.
I’ve always been curious about this bag. I like the simplicity, materials, and capacity size. I’m never really in wet conditions enough to warrant getting it but I’ve thought about getting it for a friend in the PNW who commutes a lot. Somewhat unrelated but what rain shell do you carry with you? I have several but the ultra light emergency shells are harder to come by. Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! For a rain shell I have a budget one I found on Amazon that I can link in the description if you want to check it out :)
Thank you for watching and for the support! I haven’t had any experience with their bags yet but I’ve heard good things and they seem to have a lot of interesting options
I'm a happy owner of the old version ...I would have bought a new one IF ONLY they would have kept the side compartment...missing that the new version worth the half

Keep hearing that the granville destroys shirts, jackets etc. Too bad, would probably buy one if not for that.
I agree, I've had both, and have sold the newer one and kept the old model. It's loads better.

i like the style but didn’t pull the trigger on this bag as I have doubts on how long the taped seams will last.
Thank you for watching and definitely a fair concern!
I've been using the previous version for 2+ year now with no issues.
