That Ramp is a disaster waiting to happen. The bottom should be connected all the way with a beam instead of a cable. Also add some trusses (forming triangles) to prevent buckling. It almost flipped over and I can't believe they show that.

This must be the sharper image version... Nearly everything was total junk, except the over priced lift and the creaper which is pretty much a standard design and unremarkable. Those car ramps were a death trap and nearly failed in the video.
Radiator funnels with the removeable stopper are used by almost every mechanic in the industry, and have been for decades. And in a modern garage the rotor tool is fairly useless. It's usually cheaper/the same price to replace rotors that it is to re-machine them. Due to this, most times shops just replace the rotors anyways. Not to mention, if you're having brake issues , you should be taking the wheel off to inspect your pads and caliper functionality as well.
I’m so glad someone finally made a torque wrench that I can connect to my phone. Every time I work on my car I find myself wishing I could torque bolts to spec from my Samsung smart-fridge
The majority of those are on Amazon for a fraction of the cost, that brake caliper tool I got it for 22 bucks and the plastic coolant tank is like 17. I do like the lift tho

2:26 Jesus where has this been all my life? I do work on my own vehicles. Just did full brake job on my Escalade. New rotors and pads all the way around. I'm still using a large C clamp and an old brake pad to retract the pistons. LOL
Good stuff on here and Thanks for sharing. $46 for a Dollars worth of plastic to purge air from your car is a bit much. You can find it sometimes under $25 Dollars if your shop around.
@@ianmontgomery7534 exactly. I actually like those ramps you see at car dealerships that they drive the whole vehicle on. It's close to having a vehicle lift.
Great job on the ramp! But.. of they had made the base plates about 4-6 inches wider? I think you'd have better balance and less chance of tipping, like it did... other than that it looked great.
Mini air compressors are great, Lowes has a Kobalt, rechargeable battery, digital compressor, works great. Same battery powers the impact gun, and much more.
The matco right angle air impact is a good tool; but only worth it due to the lifetime warranty. Mine has broken at the neck 3 times in the past two years. I kind of like the brake tool.... but... you can also use a small flat piece of metal and a C- clamp to do the job! I guess if you don't have these most basic of tools and want to do your own brakes? Then, yeah, I could see spending that if one didn't know better.. It is pretty cool,I'll have to admit..
Nice brake rotor thickness gauge, but unless you have the books out for the vehicle or you have filled your brain space with random specifications you need to pull the wheel for access to the thickness specs.

For $5400, I could get a normal two post lift and remodel the ceiling of my garage to allow full lift height. And probably still have some money leftover. The price of that scissor lift makes it useless compared to better full sized lifts for cheaper. Scissor lifts aren't new inventions either.
So, what are the brake piston compressor tools for if the brake pistons retract automatically every time you release the brake pad, making the brake rotor caliper a necessity?
As pads wear down sometimes the pistons can get stuck making it difficult to install new pads and get them over the rotor. I usually use a bmf pair of Channellocks to compress the piston.
Five minutes to get to 35 lbs is horrible. Specially if you are running big tires that max at 51. I’ll stick with my dewalt 60v compressor or just go to any gas station near me that has free air.
Be aware that the caliper retracting tool is; 1) Extremely cheaply made, and 2) THIS ONLY WORKS FOR CALIPER PISTONS THAT DO NOT HAVE TO BE ROTATED TO RETRACT. If you use it on pistons that need to be rotated to retract, you will damage the pistons, the caliper AND the tool. The disc measuring caliper only works on wheels with wide open spokes. Steel wheels, forget it. There are also better ones with digital readouts for cheaper. The ramps, easy to make.
