All EA do is fund the games and publish the games. That's it! Everything regards to the actual development of the game, including MTX mind you, that's on PopCap. In fact, PvZ2 was in development before EA bought them, and it having it's mobile freemium business strategy was already a plan by then. EA didn't do nothing but make this game a franchise, not just a game. And if you go on saying that EA fired George Fan because he didn't want PvZ2 to be freemium. Don't.
