My dog used to have distemper and luckily she's one of the survivors. There 1 thing you can try, whenever you see his stomach is cramping or he's having a seizure, use a hairdryer with medium hot temperature, low speed blowing on his body. His cramping will eventually stop. Try to keep his body as warm as possible by placing a warmbag on his bed.
Don't be upset when he gone sudden, he got a chance to rest in a peaceful paradise even his body left but his soul is never to you. Most importantly he is grateful that he can able to be with his lovely owner. "Steady live as long as he wants, as long as he's steady, as long as your heart"
Don’t give up guys. My dog is a distemper survivor. He’ll slowly lose appetite. So you need to keep him hydrated. His condition will deteriorate very fast and he will lose a lot of weight. But you need to keep feeding him. Use a syringe if you have to.
It’s true that there is no cure for distemper virus, but there is still a lot of measures we can do to improve the survival rate. Don’t give up until the last minute. My dog just recovered from distemper virus infection, so perhaps some tips of mine might help out with Steady’s condition. The measures are all aimed to boost up the immunity. 1. Make sure he eats. One of the most killing symptoms is that he will lose of appetite. If he doesn’t have appetite to eat, feed him using a syringe. You can prepare some food with balance nutrition like porridge mixing with eggs, some vege or meat , then blend it. Feed in small amount but multiple times per day. Good appetite always signify good chance to recover. But make sure to feed slowly to prevent him regurgitate or vomit. 2. Give nutrients supplements, either in tablets or tube. Use as much as possible according to his weight. This will help to improve his immunity. Vitamins are needed to build up the immune system. Vitamin B6 and B12 are important to reduce risk for seizure. 3. Immunoglobulin supplement. This can be achieved by either injection or oral. DMG vet is the oral and cheaper choice, continuously feed him everyday to boost up his immunity. This is a must. With this, he has higher chance as we definitely need his own immunity to build up and kill the virus on his own. This doesn’t necessarily work for every dogs but without this, his immunity growing rate will be surely slow. 4. Antibiotics by the vet. Distemper virus will weaken his immunity and causes more other secondary infection. So antibiotic is to cover these unwanted infection that will take away his life even faster than distemper. 5. Symptomatic treatment to relieve his symptoms and make him feel better. i.e. clean the eye discharge, nose discharge, stop diarrhea and cough if needed. 6. Check temperature twice everyday. Make sure he isn’t fever cuz if he does, seizure is more likely to happen. Anti fever is needed immediately if he is fever. And also always keep him warm with blanket. 7. Make sure he drinks enough water. Like human, sick dog is tend to be dehydrated when he refused to eat. Keep him hydrated is crucial to maintain his organ functions. Hydration status can be checked by pinching the skin around his neck. If it goes back immediately after you release the skin, then the hydration status is fine. Yea, so these are the measures we can do to support him, and not forget to encourage him more often, he will know that his parents love him. Even though the survival rate is low, but we don’t always lose hope before the worst thing comes right. Even if it comes, at least we did whatever we can to save him. Stay strong and it’s gonna be alright. 💪

我曾經有一隻小狗，差不多2個月大吧，前幾天都吃得好好的，突然有一天中午沒什麼胃口，放工要帶她去看獸醫的時候才發現它已經走了，肚子也是鼓鼓的😭😭😭
當時也是領養的，2隻一起，也是要等一個星期左右才能去打針。第一隻狗狗走了後，第二天馬上帶了另一隻去Test去打針，幸好沒被傳染，現在也健康長大了。

前不久回家乡发现邻居家的大小狗都不见了 就听说得了狗瘟去世了 而且小镇上很多狗狗都因为得了这个狗瘟离开了 镇上的老人家都说了 “小镇上的人们在这疫情期间安安稳稳的过了 但狗狗们却走了，替了我们人类当了很大的灾害” 😭😭😭

3:00 我哭了，就是不知道為甚麼當我看到那一幕，我的淚水自然就在眼眶打轉了。。。我的感觸特別大，因為我本身也是有養狗（曾經養過poodle，但過世了）他大概九歲了。。。。
我相信它也是這個病，因為那時候一開始它也是像steady這樣，一直抖抖抖。。本來以為它只是感冒而已，就沒有太過關心他，可是過後發現他好像不太對勁了，就決定帶他去看醫生，那時候沒有打算讓他做這個test，所以醫生只是開個抗生素給它。。他一時好一時不好。。就也沒太在意它的這個病。。過後就開始看到有蒼蠅附在他的耳朵，蟲也在，就開始怕了。。
隨後我就帶他去看比較好也比較有名的醫生（已打針），醫生說他可能会在這兩個月裡面就過世了，因为他已經很嚴重了，無法醫治了，這個時候的我瞬間崩潰了，我在大家的面前就這樣哭了出來當時的我也很自責。。果然，醫生說的沒有錯，它也就這樣過世了。。至今還是很想念他，這件事是去年才發生的。
所以我還是要說，如果自己的狗狗生病了，儘快帶它去看醫生，否則像我的狗狗這樣，你自己會很自責，也會覺得很對不起它，為甚麼當出不要醫好它的病

最後我猜想是Nestle(poodle) 投胎變成了這隻萨摩耶，回到來我身邊，（謝謝你回来當我的狗，以後你生病，我一定会第一時間先帶你去看醫生，絕對不會像以前那樣，不關心你，對不起以前讓你受苦了，你先走了也好，也不會一直受苦）

Hai Han Pea 有喔。狗狗的八合一、十合一預防針裡都有預防犬瘟熱的。
以前我家的husky小时候也是有抽筋的现象，也是一直让它喝葡萄糖，第2天早上就康复了也有带它去兽医店打了针，但是和我们相处的时间也就2年，还记得它领走前很辛苦。
