Nostalgia is a sad feeling, however I’m glad it exists. It makes me grateful for what I had. It lets me know I had the childhood I wanted to have.
I had all the LBP games expect the PSP and PSP Vita ones. This video made me sad because these game were my childhood. LBP 2 hands down made me the happiest, I was such a terrible creator yet I would get excited that someone out there played my level. I would spend most of my time on moon messing around with stuff other people made that I had stored. I played with my cousin that would sometimes come over to my house and we would both do the same thing in moon and laugh for hours all night. I know it might sound weird but something about the chaos and randomness made us laugh. I made so many online friends but I eventually lost them because I started playing Minecraft and deleted most of my friends because they were never on anymore. The other LBP games I enjoyed as well.

So sad LBP won’t age like other games. It’s was hugely reliant on the community, and it was everyone who made the game what it was. Yes in a decade or so to come we’ll still have the story mode, and our moon. But when Sony shut down all the LBP servers, everything will be gone. All the creativity (and toxicity) of the community, lost forever. Our children will never get to experience the same childhood we had in the same way we could experience our parent’s by playing a game they had that could age well. Games such as Pong, PAC-Man, Space Invaders,or anything else along those lines which are still fundamentally the same today as they were back then.
Will always love this game for the rest of my life, because this game was absolutely part of my whole childhood. I remember my dad getting LittleBigPlanet when it finally came out back in 2008, before getting LittleBigPlanet 2 in 2011. Man, how wild it was to just play levels in the community and see all the surge of creativity, alongside meeting new people to create together. I got LittleBigPlanet 3 about 2 years late, around 2016. Regardless, all my fun times are really just me spending it on the game. One of the best outlets to put all your imagination, creativity and capabilities there.
