Libby just enjoys being a kid she never got to do these things when she lived with humans she's not ready to be a mom, but she is.

Expert Primate Studies do show that Newborn/Babies suffer abandonment issues and can recognized maternal family members. And Mother’s Do Not Forget Their Own Babies.

Oh yes. LIBBY KNEW RIGHT AWAY that Rainbow wasn't hers. She was so confused. She melled Rainbow bum right away and was looking around like WHAT? JUST HAPPENED.
They do if they do not form a bond with them first. It takes 2 to 4 weeks for a baby to learn it's mother from another monkey. This is when the bond is established.
None of them are aware a switch took place. If they were, the moms wouldn't nurse the others baby and would only be interested in getting their own baby back.
I have raised macaques, they are as diverse as any other advanced mammal species. Some of them are dumb. Some are smart. But they all share certain psychology and present certain behaviors and responses.

They aren't humans , they don't "mature" as humans do. they dont grow mentally to become adults , its not like that with them.
Seriously Rainbow should be called nightmare non stop screeching and screaming and its cant do anything for itself no matter how much Libby tries to teach the brat it won't even walk on its own while at least roses kids walk on their own . not rainbow or nightmare it just lays on the floor squealing like a helpless brat throwing overdramatic temper tantrums twitching and screeching its head off. Libby should take it up on a high branch and toss the little nightmare away and let it out of its non stop screeching misery

OMG! shes really trying to kill that baby! she doesn't need babies, she was starting all this with Brady?? Maybe she did something when she fell out of tree when she was pregnant for Brady? Hell who knows ? but something ain't right in her what ever it is?
No she isn't trying to kill the baby. Part of raising baby monkeys is they are very pushy and throw tantrums when they don't get their way. Even if rainbow fell from the tree, it's unlikely she would be hurt. Monkeys are far tougher than humans, especially babies. Having raised many macaques over the years, I've learned that baby monkeys have to be made to do certain things. Clinging is one of the worst instincts they have.
Libby is trying to force rainbow to start learning to walk, climb and forage because that's what is required for her to survive in the wild. Rainbow doesn't want to do these things but rather wants to cling and suckle when Libby is trying to teach. So she starts pushing her off to force the baby to do what she wants. She isn't trying to hurt her whatsoever. Just like any other mom, she does get annoyed when child doesn't do what it's told. They will both be fine unless someone tries to intervene.
If Libby was trying to kill her baby, it would be dead. I've seen mothers abandon and even attack their babies. When they really attack, baby will not survive.
I feel sorry for these monkeys when do they get peace, there's always a crowd of people chasing and following them
Libby is so similar to Melody in looks and actions. The only difference is Libby doesn’t have to kidnap a baby monkey to abuse, she’s got Rainbow, who thinks Libby is her mother. so sad 😞

Libby has made Rainbow neurotic, she puts her down treads on her then picks her back up, I don't think the baby gets a full belly very often because Libby is always pulling at her

I doubt very seriously that Rainbow would dare to fight against Libby like she does if Libby was really hurting her. Some of these people need to go watch Anna with her offspring (which wasn't abuse either) but they knew when Anna said no, she meant it and they were too scared to push her limits . If she did, every time she even thought about going to the nip Libby would be able to take one look at her and Rainbow would stop in her tracks and not think about asking again!!!

The VO's needs to get Rainbow from Libby before she hurts her and give her back to Rose. Rose would take care of Rainbow and Brady. Libby is too immature.
That is incorrect on multiple fronts. Rose would not accept nor allow rainbow to nurse. She believes Brady is her baby and has a bond established with Brady. Also, monkey babies are extremely tough. They do not break or damage easily. Libby isn't being nearly rough enough with her to cause any injury. I have raised macaques. I guarantee you Rose would starve Rainbow if she allowed her to cling at all. Most likely she would push her off, then some other monkey nearby, probably a juvenile would pick up rainbow and she would slowly starve to death..

They've fallen from much higher trees and fell unto rocks, cement and branches and bounced back fine

How can Libby teach the monkeys way of life. She is dependent on the vos for food and protection. She still acts like the pet she was. Does she know how to forage and meaning of the hierarchy of a troop??

Yes but Rainbow doesn't latch on to her stomach very securely, partly because she hasn't had much practice by having to hang on to Libbys foot all the time for a ride and also Libby doesn't have any fat for baby to grab ahold of!

Still feel sorry for Libby. VOs always on her heels. Rainbow sucks constantly and makes no progress. These dang other monkeys just coming at her from every direction, crawling on her and getting in her space and pulling at Hooverbow WHILE she is climbing 30 feet in the air on dubious branches. She can't get away. I'd say she's probably close to losing it and wouldn't blame her, poor girl.
