Dear SLPH im very glad to see such podcast…i also want to request you to look into the matter of Eastern Frontier Rifles(EFR) Gorkha battalion of Bengal that is in a verge of demolition by the state government, EFR has a glorious history but now the State government had neglected it because, the EFR recruits only Gorkhas. Please look after this matter and if you want some knowledge i can help you out.
EFR is placed in Governor House Darjelling from the british era. EFR battalion had also supported Gorkhaland movement by countering CRPF for killing the people of darjelling.
Very important topic to discuss.

Good initiative taken by SL. This Podcast has given an opportunity to know the hidden truth of a true Gorkhaland activist who had faced such a bitter challanges of life in course of achieving the aspiration of every gorkhas. I must hatsoff Mr. Dewan for his unconditional support in the movement of gorkhaland during 80's & seeking your active participation in involving the educated youth as you mentioned, in lighting up the flame of inner desire ever.

Uncle we should not add army gorkha rifles with civil politics. Indian gorkha rifles consists of gorkhas from nepal 60% nd remaining 40% gorkhas from assam, Darjeeling, kalimpong, shillong, sikkim, dehradun, dharamshala, mp, up, jammu, Manipur etc. nd the fact is dat the ppl from other states wl never b able to differentiate between gorkhas from nepal nd india as we share d same language, culture, caste/tribe, race etc. nd dis gorkhaland demand is only in hills of wb bcz der are gorkhas/nepali in dooars, Siliguri, jalpaiguri, sikkim, other indian states but the have nothing to do with politics of Darjeeling hills nd by dis emotions lots of chor are doing corruption in hills, purchasing land in Siliguri, nepal, other states alas the common ppl wl suffer

The "Gorkhaland" word is not digestible to the Central because it's a geopolitics issues....whoever the politician born but good for nothing they didn't proceed in decisive way but only in the name of "Gorkhaland" emotional blackmail.... aspirations....in a politics.....Rajneeti....dimag si hoti hain bhawanoan se nehi???
I was expecting a lot from this podcast but unfortunately, it got kinda boring from half because lots and lots of informations were still missing maybe you felt awakard to ask or ? .
Brother you need to prepare questions before bcz the topic was interesting but the counter questions were missing.

Thank you for your honest feedback and empowering support. We regret not being able to bring it all because it's the history of decades versus the time period of hour and also we need to abide by the regulations of both social platforms and the nation, even though there were a lot of incidents which unfortunately we needed to censor accordingly to community guidelines. But we really appreciate your humble suggestion and will certainly improve with upcoming volumes.

Why add "land" ? English is the language we all use to communicate and that's fine but we should not identify ourselves with this foreign language forever.
The current government is working to remove the anglicised name.
Like recently name of Portblair has been changed to Sri Vijayapuram.
I also do not want to identify with the anglicised name nor do I want my future generations to identify themselves with this name.
The name should resonate with their inner being .
Gorkhaland can be changed to something like Gorkhabhumi
