    This rc plane is giant at 1800mm coming in at a fraction of the cost compared to other similarly sized rc airplanes. The Arrows Husky 1800mm rc plane comes in at $260, but with our limited time promo code, you can pick it up for $240. This is a STEAL for this size and quality of RC airplane. We loved taking this rc plane out for a maiden flight and cannot wait to fly it more!

    As a full size pilot, I can confirm that larger airframes are easier to fly. If we look at stick skills, not systems management, any R/C model is a lot more challenging than a C172, not to mention a light twin or an advanced single. But if you're a beginner, keep in mind that a small model will survive a lot more punishment than a large one. Let a sub-40 inch foam model hone your reflexes before you enjoy this one. The tiny ones will be a bit harder to master, but they will survive the process. This one will necessarily be a bit more vulnerable.

    The comment Nate made about taking a second vehicle to the field, just to accommodate that plane, made me shake my head - Hatchback Life for... err, Life, Baby! ô¿~
    I love smallish planes for what (these days) you can cram into them - with Li-Ion and iNav on 20x20 FC's, 800mm planes can do "big-boy" stuff now! But this plane makes me want to change my ways. It's gorgeous! I've always liked the look of the big E-Flite Carbon Cub, but the price was waaaay out of my price range (I have all 3 UMX Cubs, though). This has the looks of that plane, scales up the size, and comes in at a fraction of the price. Man, nice find guys!

    I really like the design and way the color is patterned. The M. Apprentice fits right into my truck bed, so I don't have to take the wing off either (I have a Ranger, but still few inches from either wingtip) Can't figure out how to send a picture to you guys, but your sticker looks great on the wing! Got yours and Gary's on either side. Plus hoping it works out, I put the 'Power Patch' on the inside of the engine compartment.

    I had one of the first Apprentice planes that DIDNT come with SAFE and I loved flying it. It was a nice big easy flying plane with no bells and whistles. I should have kept it. I purchased 4 Apprentice that year and resold them. Now I wish I had kept one as a spare. That looks like a great plane. My problem would be storage, not transportation. This Quest Van can hold anything.

    That looks like it flies great, I purchased a small plane with safe technology as a starter plane for my son and I. Sport Cub S2
    While it is easy to fly in beginner mode and a pretty good beginner plane I quickly learned that the flight range is kind of limited both by transmitter distance and more so by the ability to see the small plane when it starts to get farther away.
    I can see how a larger plane would be much easier to fly but I did not want to spend very much money until I knew if my son would enjoy flying.
    One thing that I would like to see in your videos is something about the range of flight. How strong is the transmitter and what happens if the planes gets out of range of the transmitter.
    Keep up the good work, we love to watch your videos.

    • @ab7rs
      @ab7rs 3 года назад

      here in the usa the law says that you have to be able to see your aircraft and the transmitters are good for that distance. that said a cheap tx16s with a crossfire module could reach many miles,
      i fly 2=3 all the time. it depends on the tx, antennas and how it;s all installed. there are free lua scripts that will show the last gps location of your plane and flight controllers under $50 with return to home functionality.

      @@ab7rs the only plane I have flown has a decent range for the size of the plane but I have lost reception at least twice while I could still see it. One of the times I was able to recover it safely during flight, the following time I could not and it landed in a tree.
      My point is the manufacturers do not list the range of the transmitter and we are left to discover that range on our own.

    • @ab7rs
      @ab7rs 3 года назад

      @@benparsons5065 odd, I have owned dozens of UMX planes and never had an issue, may have been interference. Which Transmitter were you using? One with a diversity antenna helps. Manufacturers of radio systems of any type rarely list distance because there are too many variables.....antennas, noise floor, installation and orientation of receiver and antennas. I'm new to you're channel, so I apologize if you've been asked this question many times in the past, but if I order the Drone that I just watched you fly and seemed quite happy about, will I receive it faster if ordered thru Amaz (about $50 more which willing to do based off all the complaints I've read about ordering from Bang) or is it shipping from China regardless? I understand if u cannot tr answer!!! I appreciate any help. I've gone thru about 5 drones now, so I'm going to spend more than $100 and give it a try. Thanks again!

    • @TheRcSaylors
      @TheRcSaylors  3 года назад +1

      We always link directly where we got ours in our video description box. This helps in a few ways:
      1. So you know you are getting EXACTLY what you are seeing in our video (you'd be surprised how often people order from a different website, thinking they saved a buck and got some random junk drone)
      2. It really helps to support our channel and the hard work we put in for the free content for everyone.
      I hope this helps! Happy Flying! 👍😁😎⚓

      Hey Thomas! Yes, the DXe will work with this plane, as long as you've got a compatible Spektrum reciever 👍 The only downside would be rebinding it between aircraft. Hope this helps! 👍😁😎⚓

      You'd be surprised how it all makes sense if you understand how they fly and stall etc by either reading a good book or there's all sorts of free material on RUclips etc. Before I learnt to fly full size gliders I read how to do it and it made everything easier when I came to do it for real. If you understand the basics it will give you confidence. Hope you give it a try

    It looks to be a bit "pitchy", as evident when Abby almost had her coronary event (aka you nearly planted it). So, is the CG too far aft, motor thrust angle off or that short tail moment? If the latter just dial in 20-30% elevator expo.

      Hey Scott! So yeah, we've spent tens of thousands of hours over the last eight years growing our channel to what it is now today. Our content is 100% free for anyone to watch, or not though we do appreciate anyone that takes the time to do so. Over the years we've had quite a few brands approach us for deals, but we declined due to Abby and my own morale beliefs in the brand itself. These guys with the supplement seem very down to earth and have a nice, unique product that fits well with our audience. It is awesome to work with someone that appreciates what we do, as their support can only truly benefit our channel. That nice crisp 4k video you are watching for free, wasn't free for us! 😉👍😎⚓

      What commercials? I saw him show off one product. A sponsor helps him by providing a bit of money. If you want to subscribe and donate as a patron, he wouldn't need a sponsor. Its hard to run a You- Tube channel like this without someone donating. I know. I cannot afford to go out and purchase new items to review every time some thing comes out. I have my own channel on how to save money getting into RC. Its still an added expense reguardless.
