I was wondering if i would ever see any of the videos you take in that spot. Been fishing that hole for 10 or 11 years now. I do not believe you have ever shown me how to fish..lol. Good to see some familiar faces.
I have quite a few videos still to post and many more yet to take. I'm gonna be offering some tips regarding water levels and what to run in different conditions. I'm always offering tips to the whole group down there. Most just already know everything and don't wanna hear it. I try. Thats why everyone switched from beads to corky's last week. When is the last time, if ever, that you have seen JR or Daniel use a corky until last week? I'll see you there in the morning.
good morning I am a subscriber and fan of your channel will you tell me limit of a day and how many can be in possession total. I am from california and like to do a fishing trip for 3 days thanks
For the Puyallup River, the daily limit for salmon is 6, only 2 of which can be adults (page 37 wdfw regs). Coho Adults are over 20", Chinook Adults are over 24" (page 18 wdfw regs). You are allowed 2 daily limits of fish in your possession. So, 12 salmon at most, but 8 of those would need to be juvenile. Other rivers may have different limits.
Up above 5th St. It's not the best spot. There are a lot of snags. Those are in all the videos you don't see. I lost 9 hooks in about 15 casts on Thursday. All because of having to fish 10 ft upriver from my preferred spot where I like to stand. Tying up and breaking off on the first cast is extremely frustrating and the main reason you never see a lot of people at this spot in any of my videos. Doesn't take long for them to leave. I've went thru over 100 hooks so far this season. Two 51 packs of Eagle Claws plus the leftovers from last year... and I just ran out again today. I've had to go to Sportco just about every weekend since the river opened and I'll be there again tomorrow. But I have caught a lot of fish.
Its good anywhere if you can find the right drift, but yes, that used to be a decent spot. I haven't been there this year. The river changes each year, so it might be better or worse than last time I was there.
Lol they were all sidelined by the high water, struggling to find a good drift. I dropped on that 3mm bead and killed it. Had 2 fish within 20 minutes.
