    That physcologist bashed Doug mercilessly, that should never be allowed in sentencing especially since the judge did not allow Eva to say anything negative towards the defendant. How was that fair

      And how biased was that Dr - allowing AB to live with her and her family - she totally lacked any credibility and her vitriol towards Doug should have been called out.

    Letting that little girl be paraded around with signs, was completely inappropriate! Little children should not be involved in adult things. This shows you the mindset of Ashely and her mother.

      Defense lawyers always do and funny things is, they can give made up theories for their clients with no evidence. Meaning when you're on the stand as a witness it's a yes or no and not your opinion! Just look a Brian Korberger defense, they think he is innocent with no solid evidence of an alibi. Their milking that case for millions.

    This definitely was not fair. After watching the trial and watching Ashley's narcissistic acting, I think the judge was taken by her acting skills. The jury got it right and I think 30-50 years for murder as she laid in wait for him and set him up to come over and tried to triangulate with his daughter against him trying to talk against his daughter's mother. She is not remorseful at all as it is all an act. I am glad after the judge would not let the family speak that they were able to speak here. Thank you.

    I wasn’t fooled by Ashley’s “poor pitiful me” look she displayed in her sentencing. Her courtroom antics were despicable and didn’t fool me either. As a person who experienced DV, I can tell you, the last thing you do is rock the boat in any way. You walk on egg shells and avoid anything that will set them off. You don’t argue with them, you don’t get in their face about anything, you don’t treat their daughter like crap……and you damn sure don’t lure them over to your house while you are there alone. Especially when there is a divorce in process. I’m convinced her mother was involved and helped set this tragic event up. Ashley should have been charged and found guilty of first degree murder. She set him up. She had loaded guns around the house. They weren’t packed away like they would have been if she was packing to move. She lured him over and pulled that gun on him. She shot him as he was trying to flee. She is evil, manipulative, vile, and a murderer. I hope she spends the next 20 years in prison being tormented. Not by her guilt for what she did….she isn’t capable of having feelings for anyone but herself, but by her 9X10 cell, eating prison food, and getting a 10 minute Luke warm shower 3 times a week.
    R.I.P. Doug 💔😢 You never did anything to deserve the death sentence your narcissistic, cruel, evil wife inflicted on you. Prayers for your family.❤️🙏

    I like Judge Whyte. He seemed fair. My issue has always been the state. I wish they would have fought more. The defense took over an hour talking about evidence not allowed in. I wish the state pointed out that a judge in family court didn't believe her and that transcript wasn't allowed in. One of the detectives didn't believe her. It just seemed like the defense colored outside the lines to defend her and the state didn't even draw to the line.

      Every time anybody started to mention Ashley’s previous acts, the defense interrupted and the judge allowed it. Is his fault that the prosecutor couldn’t bring more.

    • @Deepwld10
      @Deepwld10 8 дней назад +1

      The court often gives leeway to the defense so they have less issues for appeal. But that has absolutely nothing to do with the luke warm arguments from the state in my opinion. The judge didn't stop her from mentioning the previous court ruling not allowed in.

Doug deserved much better. Most women would have appreciated him for his loving heart 😢, he deserved a smarter wife who was like himself.
