From Shepherd Boy to Shepherd King

During David’s reign, all the tribes of Israel were united by their allegiance to God’s anointed on the basis of his majesty. The nation identified itself with the shepherd king and drew its strength from his military victories. But David’s kingdom didn’t last forever. As Alistair Begg explains, Jesus alone offers lasting victory over sin and death for those who acknowledge Him as King.
