I have been saying all of these things lately! It’s such good news! But the people in my realm, some Christian and some not, do not typically want to hear it. Most of them want to earn and justify their place in eternity. They don’t like the idea that everyone could be privilege to gods grace whether or not they’ve asked for it or whether they deserve it and especially not if they don’t even believe in it . . . Can you even imagine the God of all things, the Source of all that is and was and ever will be, actually caring that you choose a specific religion to follow? The Bible even says we are saved by Grace, not of ourselves, so that we can’t boast. They say “All you have to do is believe Jesus died on the cross for your sins” . . . That sounds like a big ask, and if the Bible is true we don’t have to believe that, we don’t have to do anything.

@@IWATCO_ Ephesians 2:8-9 says it’s by grace you have been saved, not through anything you could do . . . Believing that Jesus died for my sins is an action. It’s alright if you want to believe that, but if it’s true that salvation is a gift of god and happens because of faith (all of this is in this passage of scripture) then you don’t have to do anything or say anything or believe anything. If it had anything to do with what you say or believe or do, then you could actually boast about it! And folks do just that all the time but in a way that is subtle and doesn’t always seem like boasting.
