Is "doceo, docui, doctum II" a bad way? Doceo and docere is he same stem. The only problem is, if you don't show what conjugation it is, you will miss what the stem is, except when the first person is in -eo or -uo, that's directly II and III, or when the perfect is in -avi, directly I. So, either the infinitive or the conjugation number. For -eo, the problem would be verbs composed with "eo, ii, itum" or "eo, ire, ii, itum"
