The fact this had a highlight reel and not Uranium or Whack means it was infinitely better

The status-causing Kunai and other “start of battle effects” are an interesting idea, but a bad combo with Ray’s Twitch-lock style of play

It's not too late.
To anyone who doesn't know; because Ray was doing his twitch-lock style he didn't really use this fan game's battle mechanics.
Ray's twitch-lock rules are:
Set battlemode.
Gift subs for every faint.
Try not to over level.
Don't use items unless it's an item polemon can hold in battle.
That last rule is what screwed him in this.
But he did have fun and it was the first fan game that he liked(which isn't saying much since the bar was very low with the other two games he played) so in the end, it's all good.
With those rules, he might as well play Radical Red
@@JuanFApolinar I can't remember which stream it was, but he did at one point talk about how he was playing that on his own off-stream.
What are the battle mechanics?
This is probably one of the best Pokemon roms/fan games out there
Even with the bullshit statuses and the AI reading your inputs.
This is definitely a great one, Umbound is solid as well. Coral is amazing. Then Infinite Fusions
Agreed although it would be way more bearable if you could learn abilities like that and equip 1 for yourself.
You probably haven't played Pokemon Reborn or Rejuvenation then
hearing ray just roast treecko and me laughing like hell and asking who picks treecko and then me getting flashbacks to me as a kid picking treecko
Volcarona really was the MVP at the end.
This reminded me that I never went back to finish the VODs for this. I'll go do that eventually.

I grew up playing Naruto's Clash of Ninja series on GameCube. Thanks for hitting me with 18 years of weeb nostalgia.
The only reason Pokemon Uranium was so popular was because Nintendo sent a C&D literally *a day* before the game would have been officially released. If it wasn't for that, people would have ignored it for being yet another grindfest fangame.
Any thumbnail with an Oshawott is perfect.

Ray's Pokemon Bushido playthrough, aka the Clefable + Volcarona dual saviors run
Some of the status kunai were a little annoying, but I had a fun playthrough of my own after watching the first day. Also managed to get a shiny fennekin so had to bite the bullet and use it even though I would've picked treecko myself lol

Ray playing this is like him playing the Poke Cup in Pokemon Stadium, it's just unfair and it's still legal lol what a rom though
for those who dont know, "Bushido" means: Path of the warrior. but its mainly applied for samurai back in good old Japan. the more you know I guess :)
also I dont know if Bushido (like the saying "path of the warrior") could be applied to knights, gladiators etc. because its from Japanese culture lol
The equivalent for European knights would probably be "Chivalry" It's basically a code of "honor" that that knights all the way back in the late 12th and early 13th century, before being further refined from there. The original code had nothing to do with being a good person, and was full of tenants like "Protect the church," "Believe all the church's teachings," and "perform all feudal duties if they don't contrast god's laws"

Pokemon Uranium wasn't THAT bad. Just kind of bland.
What was wrong with uranium?
He said the difficulty curve is too steep and you can only get EXP from the fakemons.
@@GabePuratekuta But can't you refight a trainer in basically every area for better exp and money?
@@garcon45 In Uranium? I don't think Ray ever did that so I don't know. Also, I think that no matter what those fakemons only give 1 EXP.
@@GabePuratekuta IIRC, the second town's Pokemon center has a trainer in it that has a Chiynmunk or whatever, that you can refight infinitely for more exp than the wild Pokemon in the area. Ray should talk to NPCs more. XD
@@garcon45 the issue is he’s not playing a fan game to stream himself XP grinding while fighting a trainer over and over again, the game should have you progress in leveling naturally and not force you to stop and grind repeatedly
How could you say Uranium is awful?? Its one of the best and most creative fan games. And then the Treecko hate 😭 but you have redeemed yourself with the furry riolu catch, ty aaaaand its gone 😑
It was a grindfest, the difficulty curve is whack, and Ray isn’t a fan of fake-mon.
