Popeye, Betty boop and even Casper will always be amazing stars of paramount. (As well as others, even if there a bit under the radar.) As a sidenote: theatrical cartoons will be in my heart... 😌

This is such a fascinating watch; it's intriguing to witness the evolution of the Paramount short "dynasty" from the black-and-white newspaper comic-esque surrealism of Bimbo to psychedelic pastiches of '60s hippie culture courtesy of Ralph Bakshi. Is there a Google Drive or some other site in which they can all be watched?
10:03 - Just when I was thinking not a single one of these clips seems to be running for exactly one second, that NTSC timecode does the debunking FOR me! 🤣
But none of them are owned by Paramount anymore as they are owned by different companies or in the Public Domain while being made by Fleischer and Famous Studios.
In fact, Paramount does own the characters from 1929-1950 and 1962-1967 (from 1950-1962 it is owned by Universal, and the characters of Popeye and Superman are now owned by Turner, Warner Bros., DC Entertainment and King Features. ), and about famous studios it is an excuse, paramount took over the studio (which was when it was renamed from fleisher studios to famous studios and not for nothing in 1956 the studio was renamed paramount cartoons studios), only that most of the Character rights were sold to other companies and the shorts fell into the public domain, but Paramount still holds the character rights to some characters (in fact, ironically, it regained the rights to several characters from 1929-1950 since Republic Pictures was bought by Viacom. in the late 90s), although Paramount hasn't done anything with those characters (just like terrytoons).
If it wasn’t for the rights being scattered and all over the place, we could have had a Paramount version of Once Upon a Studio, which would go hard especially with the different styles and eras presented here.

Then Casper happened. Granted, Gabby and Raggedy Ann didn't do much, but they were at least shorten.
