Power slap is the dumbest thing this side of russias crazy fight events (multiple vs multiple mma, car jitsu, phone booth boxing, male vs female mma fights). Very little actual skill, no defense, no body shots to balance out the direct to CTE express train, no movement, no set ups. This is the type of "sport" they could have put on Idiocracy and people would have said thats the perfect dumbass sport to add.
I am a very big combat sports fan. At least boxing, muay thai, kickboxing, sambo, mma, kyokushin karate, bjj, wrestling, judo, etc actually take real skill where you have to learn footwork, defensive and offensive techniques, counters, timing, speed, coordination, crazy physical fitness, flexibility, mental fortitude, etc.
At the very least the old pankration events that bas rutten and ken shamrock fought in with open palm strikes were actual combat events that was essentially mma with palm strikes instead of closed fisted strikes.
Ufc 300 would have been a fantastic first mma event to actually attend. You picked a great one.

Secondly he has probably 20 new promotions a day contacting him... the MMA game is so deluded with so many leagues and so many gyms. It's absolutely ridiculous. if you really want an MMA gym to takeoff you gotta start one in a different country that isn't saturated.
If you get super lucky and somehow Dana White decides to pick your gym and league out of the thousands that already exist to work with then that would be absolutely crazy because he doesn't work with any other promotions.
