Wow! I was the animation director of this game! It was the last game I directed for Disney Interactive (via a small Glendale studio called Creative Capers; we did many of their CD-Rom titles). It's a blast to read the comments here - great to know so many of you found it useful! I didn't think anyone would remember it!
Are you kidding me?? That's so cool! This game was so well done, and such a fond memory looking back. I was the fastest and most accurate typist all the way through school, and I owe it completely to this game. Thank you
That's so awesome! Back in the olden days where I read up on how to type, this game was part of the reason I encourage myself to put my knowledge into practical use. I learnt how to type properly through this game. Fast forward 20yrs later, my skills I have now are all thanks to this game! Such nostalgic game for sure!
I remember playing and enjoying this game when I was in 1st grade. Really helped me with my typing skills. More than 20 yrs later, I could even type with 95% accuracy with my eyes closed all because of this game!
Bug 1: Yo, Pig! Pumbaa: You talking to me? Bug 2: Hey, you see any other pigs around here? Pumbaa: Nobody calls me a pig! Bug 3: We just did! Pumbaa: Alright, that does it! You asked for it.
well i didn't have this game on my old pc in my childhood, but i had timon and pumbaa's jungle games. Adventures in Typing with Timon and Pumbaa is a good way to learn how to use your keyboard and also very fun.
I remember playing this game when I was still kinda young, and I STRUGGLED to make it very far, but I loved this game. Then my stupid teenaged cousin came in and beat the whole game in what felt like 5 minutes and bragged about it. I was so mad I stopped playing.
I tried to set up a Win95 virtual machine to replay this, but I couldn't get the sound to work, so I guess I'm going to have to nostalgia vicariously through this video.
Yo we have the disc for this game and I used to play it a lot back in first grade (I found the disc again but its not compatible with any computers we have now sadly :( ) and I VIVIDLY remember the bug shooting game- like- SO well.I used to HATE the bugs!
This was fun. There's another game I played as a kid I can never remember the name. But your playing what I believe was a typing game, as animals. . And one part of the game they gl blasting through space in the space ship
What if Warner Bros. Interactive and The Lego Group did "Adventures in Typing with Unikitty and Puppycorn" by having Tara Strong and Grey Griffin reprise their voice roles as Unikitty and Puppycorn respectively?
Here's what it would be all about: Vitruvius would offer Unikitty and Puppycorn a magical LEGO keyboard but Unikitty and Puppycorn would decline Vitruvius' offer by telling him that they are in a hurry so that they could go on an adventure all by themselves.
I am 37 now and my siblings still call me Rafiki for always being the Typing Champion at home.... Reminiscing the memories. Can I get the software for my kids? Been looking for the online version that I can download but not successful
Yes - no numbers, just focuses on letters. Assumes by the time the kids figured out the muscle memory of QWERTYetc., they'd figure out the 123s for themselves.

My sister and I both learnt to type from this game aged about nine or ten. Thanks for the useful life skill!

I don't remember this in my childhood, I remember a game called "Read, Write and Type"
My 2 year old is obsessed with this for some reason but thank you😭🙏🏽
Bug 1: Yo, Pig!
Pumbaa: You talking to me?
Bug 2: Hey, you see any other pigs around here?
Pumbaa: Nobody calls me a pig!
Bug 3: We just did!
Pumbaa: Alright, that does it! You asked for it.
1:33 Zazu: Too bad I always find myself in trouble.

The animation in this; is actually really good!
I laugh a little bit every time a bug makes noise when it gets hit.
This bring back memories of elementary school. :’)
(Bug) Yo Pig.
(Pumbaa) Are you talking to me?
Thank you for uploading this video.
I used to play this Disney PC game a long time ago.
This just unlocked a memory that I didn’t even know I had

I learnt how to type with this game!!!! Good old memories 😍😍
Rest in Peace Robert Guillaume (the voice of Rafiki)😔🙏🏻
RIP, Robert Guillaume. Love you
Nostalgia alert I had this typing program as a kid my dad thought I should learn to type I never really learned to type and I suck to this day
I wish Robert were still here; he'd be a great computer teacher in a computer lab
I tried to set up a Win95 virtual machine to replay this, but I couldn't get the sound to work, so I guess I'm going to have to nostalgia vicariously through this video.
If this helps at all, I think I used a Windows XP virtual machine to play this, you might have an easier time getting the audio to work with that.
I just bought this game last night.
Where?... Is it online?...
where? How much?
I have a demo of this I got in a cereal box back in 1998 😂
They call me
MISTAAAAAA PIGGGG
AAAAHHH!!
23:58 - 1:23:55 Awww, he sounds so sweet
Yo we have the disc for this game and I used to play it a lot back in first grade (I found the disc again but its not compatible with any computers we have now sadly :( ) and I VIVIDLY remember the bug shooting game- like- SO well.I used to HATE the bugs!
I played this in my elementary school back in the day. I kinda wanna play this now to speed run it. XD
1:32:40 I still miss Robert's laugh

Come to think of it, I sometime type to whatever music I'm listening to, too.
Good learning skills on this game.
This was fun. There's another game I played as a kid I can never remember the name. But your playing what I believe was a typing game, as animals.

Type k 3 times, oh boy...............
What if Warner Bros. Interactive and The Lego Group did "Adventures in Typing with Unikitty and Puppycorn" by having Tara Strong and Grey Griffin reprise their voice roles as Unikitty and Puppycorn respectively?
TheCarlitosbug YES! That would be great with kids for today!
Here's what it would be all about: Vitruvius would offer Unikitty and Puppycorn a magical LEGO keyboard but Unikitty and Puppycorn would decline Vitruvius' offer by telling him that they are in a hurry so that they could go on an adventure all by themselves.
TheCarlitosbug ok, but you need a way to have players engaged in typing.
Why not Allison Brie?
This game taught me how to type lol
From which website can I download the program?
1:23:06
is there any way you can send me a file or something? I want to play so bad!
Tell the truth, Robert Guillaume and John Kani did a great job and a much better job on doing the voices of Rafiki than Khary Payton.
I used to have to play this for 15 minutes to unlock my unlimited n64 time privileges lol on the plus side my typing skills are 1st class.
1:31:56: looking for some PITS
2:18: It was at that moment that they knew, they screwed up
I wonder if Marsupilami and Maurice would be there?
1:16:25 simba likes flowers
I am 37 now and my siblings still call me Rafiki for always being the Typing Champion at home.... Reminiscing the memories. Can I get the software for my kids? Been looking for the online version that I can download but not successful
Wait this is a game?
Fuzzy_kitty yes
so it doesn't teach them how to write numbers?
Yes - no numbers, just focuses on letters. Assumes by the time the kids figured out the muscle memory of QWERTYetc., they'd figure out the 123s for themselves.
