Mr Golding you are right about the youngsters, but, talking alone is not getting the required action implemented. Your job as the opposition is to hold the current Administration to account and so far you are found wanting. We need unemployment bureau in each parish, we need more community centres, we need more skill centres, we need more skilled community workers, we need properly trained community trained police officers, not police officers with rifles and intimidating camouflage uniforms. The tax payers and law abiding citizens of this country is paying you and MPs in opposition to ensure check and balance is being carried out.
People will say the killing starts at home and parenting. Also, you hear its poverty, uneducated youths. I say its learned. Children, men, and women mirrored what they see. These behavior are a culture of the country. The government do not care. There are no stiff penalties for these criminal when caught. There are laws, and policies that need to be change. I will say again if the killings does not reach the top. Killings will not change.
So Mr. Golding, do you have a strategy to reach these murderers? Are you able to share this with the current administration? Both the opposition and current government can work together for the good of all Jamaicans. People should not have to live in fear.
My condolences goes out to these families. ZOSO and police alone cannot solve these problems. Something needs to be done, the country is in a state of chaos, persistent signs of social unrest, inequalities, a neglected youth, increasing unemployment, lack of educational and training opportunities, increasing poverty, increasing domestic violence and crime. Until these are addressed the state of affairs will continue.
The young boys that is growing up in the country, the government need to come up with programs that can reach them, because they are the ones who going to start the problem later.
These youths need to join Jamaica Good Life, KINO Life in Jamaica, Jamaica Life Nice. These are programs backed by donors by the diaspora which help the elderly, poor and disabled as well as those with financial and food needs. As well as introducing them back to farming 🙏🏽🆙🇯🇲
