I know there's been a lot of discussion on the differences between Jess and Lauren and I think today's stories made me realize: We clown Jess for not being able to read, but I think what people really mean is that Jess doesn't seem to CARE about the stories she's reporting. Black folks love a comeback story so if Jess showed steady improvement, we'd be for it. But Lauren actually seems to care enough about the stories to get names right, to look beyond the headlines, to call sources. Being able to read is only symbolic of her desire to her do her best, which most viewers appreciate.
Please Breakfasts Club let Jess go and leave Lauren on the show!!!!
