Thanks for posting. Love seeing the airport comparisons. I get my Premium Elite SUV from National IAD on Thursday. Seeing this lineup I wonder what I would get.

Yeah, it was me asking about the Blazer. The Grey one in the video looks very nice! Would love to have one of those in Denver next week.
The light blue Edge ST also looks nice.

Nice video! Reminds me of the Oakland Airport as far as selection goes. It also looks like Oakland.

Question from a person who lives far away from America: why do they leave the car with the tailgate lifted?

I have seen some other locations do this also. My guess is that maybe makes it easier to load in your luggage and go if you are in a hurry.

What would you say, from your experience, are the chances of getting an STAR when booking an SSAR. Or might they let your choose an star if you ask nicely ? They are about the same cars without the convertible aspect. I’ve read online that sometimes those STAR can be chosen when booking SSAR

Interesting question. I would say your mileage will likely vary depending on what they have available and what they are holding for reservations. I have "downgraded" from a convertible to a sports car to get an american muscle car over an ecoboost convertible if one is available. At the same time I have a feeling it might be harder to upgrade to a convertible from a sports car. Another time I couldn't downgrade because they were holding the 5.0L Mustang hardtop for a reservation.
Even though the cars as basically the same just a different roof. A lot of this is going to depend on what they have on the lot and the location. Maybe even the weather. If you are arriving at LAX and it happens to be raining it might be easier to get a convertible for example.
I would suggest book the one you want. If you want a convertible book that. Otherwise you could book the one with a lower rate. Sorry I didn't really answer your question and went around in circles. Lol. The short answer is it depends and it never hurts to ask nicely. Lol.

Quick question, we are picking up a car at SFO next Tuesday. Gonna be from National. Is the selection usually good? Also, if you get a chance, could you check out one of those Nissan Titans? Thank you.

SFO has been great and I would hope it's even better now with more new cars entering the fleet. Your pickup is on a weekday when inventory could be lower but worst case scenario if you have some time you can always wait to see what else comes up from the garage if there isn't anything you like right away. Have a great trip! Will keep my eyes open for a Nissan Titan.

@@CarRentalGuy Awesome! Thanks for giving me the heads up. We’ve already used National 3 times after a bad experience at Avis/Budget and we are not planning on going back. It was because of your videos that we started using them.

@@CarRentalGuy Quick Tip As Well: When your parking your car in Detroit, do not leave a thing in your car. Those Detroit Thieves will do anything possible to get whatever they want. It’s as they say, You can’t have shit in Detroit.

Very sparse selection. Either a pickup or nothing. I guess the Malibu was the best option in the entire lot.

    • @CarRentalGuy

Yeah not really much to choose from here. Some locations still seem to have a shortage of vehicles and in Detroit you pretty much need a car to get around really no other option.
