Awesome!! I really see a project so big from this, that I can hardly put it into words! How about an entire series like this?? Omg! The Repair Shop in England is a fantastic series! But can you imagine a series like this precious gentleman and his incredible thoughts, observations, AND handwork? Such a series would be one million times exponentially more interesting than even The Repair Shop! Oh please?? Please give us such a series?! This is too fabulous to be so short. Thank you!
I'm 59, disabled so can only work a couple of hours, live in England, know practically nothing about woodwork, only just learnt (finally) how to sharpen, do you think he’d take me on as his apprentice? America has some great woodworker, but he is a great woodworker with an amazing attitude that drags you along with him. A brilliant little video, wish it had been longer.
Love seeing the old arts being preserved by such artisans! In another life, I would absolutely be right along side these people 'making' and 'creating.'
Perhaps there is such a thing as talent, but in your case Mr O'Donnell, I suspect the big measure is in your passion and the countless thousands of hours you put into honing the skills passed on to you. Lovely video and thank you. Cheers from Sydney, Oz - Dave
To answer the last question, they would have invented the technology that Randall is removing from the scenario. Thank you for such a thought-provoking video. #soulco
+sean wheeler Maybe we wouldn't always throw away and buy cheap items to try and make ourselves happy. It would definitely humble a society that is full of self entitlement and lacks gratitude. I do agree all tools are invented to make things easier but sometimes easier is not better. Sometimes better is better haha. Quality > Quantity.
Would have enjoyed it much more if the music was cut out. It overpowers Randall's narration. Why does every video maker feel like they have to have music which competes with the maker's voice which is all the viewer wants to hear anyway?
How I agree with you, Sawmillman. Ill-chosen music is the ruination of many an otherwise interesting RUclips video. It seems that people nowadays are indoctrinated into thinking that there must always be music in the background....or foreground in this case !

I really want to hangout with him. Wish he could mentor me.

Next time consider not playing music. This guy was soft spoken to begin with. Beautiful work.
Wish I could have understood him better but the music wouldn't allow it.
