Excellent video review my friend. WOW! I just put these on my Infiniti RedSport 400 and love them. The Runflats on the car from the factory are the WORST Tire I've ever driven on. Anyone looking to greatly improve the RS400, put these tires on the car. It''s not just a night/day difference, it's a difference that is planetary. Completely different car now.
I bought the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 then watched your review LOL - excellent video, made me more comfortable with the decision. They are going on a 2004 Thunderbird so curios to see how it drives. Sorry I didn't find your site before, would have considered purchasing from you.
Hi Alexander, just want to thank you for the kind words. Next time we'll be happy to help you, please subscribe if you haven't already done so. Thanks again
had these on my Maxima V6 7yrs ago. These tires are awesome in wet, i can corner like if it was on dry road. Dry road and cornering is good too. You'll get a very quiet ride especially on highway. Forget about the S for snow. you'll be a fool to think these tire can replace a set of dedicated winter. Lots of grip in dry/wet but don't last long. Good 3 season tire!
Glad it helped provide some insight for you. I also have a set on my personal '16 ILX. The Continental Extreme Contact DWS06's are definitely a star performer when you want an excellent balance of Dry/Wet/Slush traction while maintaining exceptional tire life for daily driven vehicles.
I DID have run flats on a recently purchased 14 CADILLAC CTS 2.0l. 45 K mile ONE REASON TO PULL OFF RUN FLAT is the rock hard ride that they provide. I did replace them with Continental DWS TIRES last week just so I could get a more luxurious ride and better snow traction as well.
AWESOME! The Run flats are just such a terrible ride, and performance isn't there either. I have AAA, and I think the past 100 years we got around with changing a tire out, it's a technology that just isn't there. Congrats on a great set of All season tires!
RF tires do provide the worst ride possible! I had the Continental Extreme Contact DW for a year, and I switched to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+, and they are so comfortable, and have tons of grip. I can't recommend Michelin enough!
I putting my second set on at the end of month. These tires are absolutely amazing and look tuff as hell on my AWD rouge sport. Living in Michigan Ive seen it all and I can not say enough about these shoes. My rouge out performs our jeep Cherokee with Good years. The cornering in wet and dry are just mind blowing. As for snow, even a novice can maneuver controlled drifts at rally like speeds. Im not a paid sponsor. Just some shmuck that got lucky. You can find me driving in condition others don't and doing it like a pro.😂
Last week i just bought 4 of the Contact Extreme Contact UHP DWS 06 + (275x40r20) tires. they feel great on wet roads. I live in Md. and we've not got snow yet, but i'll do a follow-up once we do. I had some on my 2011 Charger before and really them so now 5 yrs later i just put them on my 392 Challenger.
The traction I get from these Conti tires (especially in the rain) is shockingly superior to any other tire I ran. It's a good thing 98% of the time. 2% of the time, I miss breaking grip when no one is around. The Dunlop Enasaves were extremely good at slipping and sliding 😂.

this is true but for states with light winters this will be fine, also hard to find winter tires for certain wheel sizes, I have 19x10s on the rear of my car and 19x9s on the front there are no winter tires in that size, that is also why I have my 4x4 though so if I need to drive in deep snow I'm not stranded
Picking these up for my GTI. I'm up in Vancouver where we see a fuck ton of rain. I have dedicated steelies and snow tires so these should last a while just using them in spring summer 👍
These tires are great All-Seasons and perform much better than your average all-season. I found they even performed better than some summer only tires in dry conditions. Didn't expect them to hold up well in snow but I have pretty fast starts/stops with snow on the ground. Can't comment on deep snow as I haven't experienced that yet.
Have these on my Z. Never will drive the car in the snow and it rarely sees any rain let alone when the ground is even wet, but I got a good deal on them and 2 of the wheels I bought had these on them already so I got a set for the rear and I've been happy with them so far. Haven't been able to break traction under any hard acceleration and it really gave me a much smoother ride.
Was your z able to break traction prior to the tire install? reason why I am asking is because I installed these on my g37 a few weeks ago and compare to the previous tires I had on, no matter how hard I accelerate, traction control on or off my tires will not squeal or chirp. your response will be much appreciated. Thanks!
Yes it was able to quite easily in 1st and 2nd though it was most likely due to being on some fairly bald Fuzion ZRI tires. With these I have not broken traction once through any hard acceleration
TheMainMan318 I'm gonna be getting these on my Z as well, I'm aiming for purpose and functionality, but how do they look? Are they excessively "meaty?"...they look a little more low profile in the video and rather sporty in the video, however, I am just curious as to how you rate the looks of the tire on the car.
Av8tor i like the way they look, definitely more meaty than the fuzions I had on before these. The tread doesn't look super aggressive like an R888, but they still have an prettyy aggressive looking pattern. I also went with a slightly wider tire for that meaty look I'm running a 255/40/18
Do you still like them on Cayenne after 1 year, and how much snow do you get in the winter where you live? I live in Canada and am considering these for a Cayenne S. Thx
Doing a follow-up that these tires handle nice for my Shelby GT500. Been through the rain and dry roads and the tires grips nicely and handling is better than expected. Tires are quiet cruising and high speeds. They do look low profile than the Goodyear tires I replaced. All and all I am glad I got the Continental DWS 06. Go Team Shelby!
Thank you for the well put review I was very hesitant between these and the Michellin Pilot Sport A/S3 + and this is definitely a clear winner. Will pick these up tomorrow from my local Canadian Tire here in Vancouver. :)
TireRack has also awesome reviews. These Continentals came a bit below in terms of cornering and handling compared to Bridgestone RE980AS, Michelin Pilots, and Pirelli P Zero AS; but came first in smoothness, ride quality, and quietness.
Excellent tire live in northeast and they griped well in 5 inches of snow...before i used to have to dig my self out when parked or keep going back and forth using momentum but with these i rolled right over the snow on single attempts
So far so good. I really don't like to pay so much for tires, but because I hit a sunken storm drain and blew out the driver's side front tire on my 2014 Nissan Juke Nismo RS and used Sears credit card for replacement, it was the best choice for my car. I have noticed improvement over the "cheap" tires that I have been buying from Amazon. The Nismo came with Continental summer performance tires which didn't last long, but I live in Pittsburgh PA and knew that I needed winter or all-season tires. I am looking forward to seeing how long these last. Thanks for a great review.
To add to the review, specifically the S portion, this tire also comes with sipes (the hair-thin cuts) along the tread. This is to help deal with very mild icing.
I'm probably going to be buying these real soon. There's not a lot of tires that make matched front and rear sets for my staggered application. My Lincoln has Continentals on it and I'm very happy with them.
Good tires I have them on my 06 S Class staggered setup and I have no problem in the snow with low profile rims and the tires push the rain so no hydroplaning.
Great video, no bull sh!t right to the point, I have my second set of DWS, DWS 06 Will be my 3rd set, with this tires it’s really fun to drive my WRX ON SNOW WET or Dry
They are indeed an awesome set of Do-It-All w/ No Compromise tires. I love them on my daily as well. Confidence in all conditions and grip when it counts!
@@ronhay6511 yeah I'll see what I can do. I couldn't pass up the great deal and awesome reviews. I'm hoping that these are great for my Shelby cause she's not like other mustangs, lol.
After having these on my Shelby GT500 for a couple of months I have to say they work great. They grip really well and hook up nicely. I stop a lot better and they are quite even at spirited driving. I'd definitely buy these tires again.
Just put a set of 275/40/ZR20 on my ‘18 Challenger R/T with the 20x9.5 Hellcat wheels and it rides like a totally different car in a really good way. They look great too but that’s just a bonus.
+Mike Brown You're welcome... Thanks again for the info.. I did purchase a full set last week... Plan on getting another set for my other car in a few months.
Getting a set of these tires this week for my 2019 Mazda3! It helps my buddy works for Continental and can get me a deal lol but honestly these topped all the lists I've found. I don't know why, but I freaking love shopping for tires when it comes time to 😂
Nice that's awesome. Congrats and I hope they last you as long as they should! These and the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 and pretty close together when it comes to choosing which tire to get, but can't go wrong with a Conti DWS06
I totally geeked out when deciding what tires to buy. I made a spread sheet from Tire Racks testing data. It's color coded and everything. I ended up buying the DWS 06+ I get them installed on Friday. I had them on my Focus ST and was shocked when I learned that they were an all season tire. I wouldn't have guessed that at all.
Yea my second set kind of had the previous version of the DWS on my 370Z (traded that in) but now on the Alfa Romeo Gulia I just did the upgrade and was very happy. I went with plus upgrade 255/35/19
I have these on my Audi A4 Quattro S-Line, and I love them. But I'm curious about something I can't seem to get a solid answer on. These are not DIRECTIONAL, but they are ASYMMETRICAL. My question is: when rotating them, can you swap them from SIDE to SIDE, and diagonal, as well as from front to back? My wheels are not staggered, and are all identical including the FULL size spare. Thanks!
J.D. Chapman Asymmetrical tires can be rotated in either direction with the correct side facing out. Example would be rotating the R/F to the L/R. As long as the outer sidewall is facing out.
Have these on my mustang. got through last winter no problem at all. I had the dws model previously on my e46 m3 and went through 3 winters with them without any issues at all. Thse dws-06 however.. have HORRIBLE tread life. If you check out tirerack there are countless reviews of people experiencing the same so I would suggest caution. I did have an alignment done, and did install adjustable toe and camber arms just for the specific reason that I could dial in the alignment. Its my dd and ive not done a single burnout on them but after 12k miles (12 months) they are worn evenly but are very low and past the wear bars. I just ordered old stock DWS to replace the rears and Continental is working with me on the replacements. Besides that.. they are fantastic. enough to get through the bad days and it drives like summers when roads are cleared even in -15c weather
I just put a set of 4 Yokohama Avid Ascend GT's on a car, then saw a Nissan Juke in the WalMart parking lot that had these tires on it, and wondered why I didn't know about them. I'm definitely happy with the Yokohamas, and I also recommend the Cooper Zeon RS3's for this same type of situation, but I'm now wanting to try these Continentals on something.
I'd love to have a tire like this but my car does requires the use of tires with Seal inside because it does not came with space for spare tire and no repair kit, for my application I could only find the pirelly cinturatto 4 seasons, I wish more companies had tires that fitted what I needed... very good review! thanks for bringing it out!
I asked my tire shop for them but they couldn’t get them. I did a decent amount of research and people are very happy with this tire, especially Mini Cooper owners.
Jeff, unfortunately sometimes not all shop carry high performance tires. Of course, have to plug us, we can ship them to you competitively, give us a call at 714.582.3330 or email us at sales@modbargains.com
Just got them put on my 2016 Accord Touring V6. 245/40/19. Shit rides like a dream and it looks so much better than the stock Goodyear Eagle Tourings that were 235/40/19 from factory.
I got these tires in my BMW X5 as a replacement for my Pirelli summer performance run flat tires and love them!I've driven to an unplowed highway in winter, with sticky more than a foot snow with them in Canada, no hassles at all! It's also smoother and quieter than my RFT Pirellis!
Appreciate the subscription, we'll be producing more videos, right now we also just launched an additional channel called 'Talking Mods' Check it out for topics for enthusiasts, hope you like it!
Light snow lol. I have an o7 civic auto and it would spin in snow soon as your foot is off the brake...with a dusting on Atlas all seasons. Put these on and it will push snow with the bumper, almost grill high! Drove thru a downpour with spawning tornadoes nearby...couldnt see out the windshield..but I was NOT hydroplaning ! I live an bout an hour east of Minneapolis. Expensive..but worth every penny
TheeJoeyLee great review, since you've seen a tire that can't handle conditions, glad you are enjoying them. The Silicaon those tires are working hard :)
“Light and medium snow”. If you have “real snow” get snow tires. I learned that in the ditch, three feet from an electrical pole. The snow was not actually heavy, but the layer of ice under it was very real. Real winters call for real winter tires, no joke.
@@Modbargains-google-plus Thank you for the acknowledgment. I just bought the Continentals, they’re fantastic. On those noisy concrete highways they are whisper silent. Great all around tire, drove in a rainstorm too and they performed beautifully in wet too.
My DWS06 have HORRIBLE vibration issues due to flat spotting. It does not matter if there are road force balanced or ran at higher pressures. I cannot stand them. I have sent 2 sets sent back to tirerack and the issue always is there. It's an odd size 245/45/17 but still, a tire should balance! It's driven me insane.
I got these tires, very good. However, if you drive on a road with rain groves, they will track a lot. So much that you actually have to adjust your steering. Other than that I recommend this tire, I will buy again for my other car when needed. Thanks.
I live in southern NY it does snow here and its nothing like what people think but these tires do work well I got a mustang i should know. Works well in the rain too. But when its summer in ny the tires will wear out quicker it gets hot here we got 4 seasons..
Just got these and did a video review on my channel. I switched from Continental SSR RFTs that came on my 2011 335i xDrive BMW and the DWS06 lends to a lot more body roll when speeding thru the twistes! Also when you mount these on stock rims they look bloated and not sleek at all compared to KUMHO Platinums or Mich Pilots!
Indeed they are a very solid tire choice. Highest in dry performance? Well No, but these arn't competing against the likes of a PS4S or a Summer only tire. For those wanting double the tread life of a summer tire with the bite and cold resistance needed to take on some snow and not feel out of place, these really do fit the bill nicely.
When mentioning snow traction stuff, No you don’t want it to kick snow out, doing this reduces traction. You ideally want the snow to get stuck into all the grooves and sipes and areas of the tire because snow on snow traction is way more grippy than most people realize I can’t fault you too much though I can a bit because your reviewing tires it’s something you should researched better. Infact that’s how snow tires work so well! I have a set of snow tires on my Volvo and it is almost unstoppable in the snow climbing every hill and playing around off-road in snow deep enough to normally get me hung up and they have so much snow that clings to them but that’s where all the grip is. Only time want to kick snow out is if it isn’t snow but rather slush as slush is 50/50 water and ice and just doesn’t stick well to itself and having those huge channels and sweeping grooves in middle will defiantly help evacuate slush in warmer winters and water from rain in summers I am considering these tires for my car, their are fantastic price currently, and seem to be a somewhat worthy legit 4 season tire. Most “all season” tires are really 3 seasons and are dangerously bad in the winter weather. I plan on rotating them out with my snow tires every year but because I live in a climate that sees both extremely hot summers and fairly snowy winters I plan on testing them out in a few deeper snow falls as well, I’ll be carrying both sets with me and changing them out in the winter because I’m most curious how these work in the winter.
So Rob, the General G-Max AS05 is a great tire, it's actually from Continental but not quite the same, and not the same compounds. Still a great tire. Best way I can describe it in car terms, is say Say Lexus is Continental, then Generals would be the like the Toyota of brand where it doesn't get all the bells and whistles and latest and greatest but still a fantastic product. Overal value on the G-max is great. Let us know if we can help you here in purchasing at ModBargains 714.582.3330 sales@modbargains.com
I have these tires on my AWD Audi A7. I been through full set after using them for 2 years of long distance driving in Louisiana. (2 hour drive to work and back). Now I'm on my second set, but this time in North Dakota. They are brand new and I find myself sliding when I accelerate in light snow at a stop. Maybe I'm driving to aggressively and not use to snow driving? Anyway, I have to test these more. In the heat these work great though.

Brand new tires will be a little slicker because they still have the oils from the molds still on the treads.
I just did. F1 Super Eagles are no joking matter in the snow!! They can get away from you in a split second without even accelerating, decelerating, or downshifting at speeds as low as 30mph. Those F1's should only come as an option, Not a standard feature!!
I had the previous versions (not the 06) and I found I didn't have as much grip that I was hoping for in the dry, I could lock up my brakes a lot quicker that I couldn't in my BF Goodrich G-force Pro-Comp 2 tires. Curious to see a review of older tires vs newer tires. You never see a comparison of last gen tires vs new gen tires.
From the words of my Canadian buds who recommended these, "the DWSs are meant to tear through snow. Be careful on the dry because they won't grip like your summers did." They weren't kidding. All seasons wont grip the dry all too well, but they will tear through snow while my summers would just free-spin in the stuff. I've been hearing goid stuff about the Michelin Pilot AS3s and upcoming 4s though, so Id take a gander at them, too.
@@FurryWrecker911 right oh! West coast Canadian here, I always switch to full Winters in ... Winter and Summers for above 10 Celsius static weather. Heading to the ski hills in dry snow is so much better than the coastal greasy snow we get, so I rely on ice and snow traction... and awd Subaru WRX with a manual. Pretty damn happy but the ground clearance isn't always there. heading to a king spring koni shock lift kit 2 years after addition on the house and new steering rack and uprated oil uptake pipe.

looks just like little wear marks if the wear is even they will all look the same if you can see one side has one wear then the other you need a alignment

Put these on my w211 e350 and they ride very nicely. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great tire at an affordable price point.
I’ve put over 40,000 miles on these with no problems. Great tire …
Best tires i ever ever had snow winter you name it.
Great video, just ordered these tires for my Shelby GT500.
Oh you have to give your review especially with the GT500, and perfect timing as fall is around the corner.
@@jonwojcik4494 thanks, you won't be disappointed. My Shelby handles a whole lot better and runs nice in the rainy days
Why....
Im late to the party, but, I just had a new set for my 4motion vr6 passat. Excellent tyres!
Just put a set of 275/40/ZR20 on my ‘18 Challenger R/T with the 20x9.5 Hellcat wheels and it rides like a totally different car in a really good way. They look great too but that’s just a bonus.
Awesome Jay, Really appreciate that feed back for others!

Indeed, amazing presentation.
Definitely.
Very good video... Very informative and thorough...
+Mike Brown You're welcome... Thanks again for the info.. I did purchase a full set last week... Plan on getting another set for my other car in a few months.
Sales job
Love the music and the voice tone spot on easy to listen to
.....right?!
Yea my second set kind of had the previous version of the DWS on my 370Z (traded that in) but now on the Alfa Romeo Gulia I just did the upgrade and was very happy. I went with plus upgrade 255/35/19
Yes! They are better than the summer only by far!
Got 2 for the from of my F10 M5 bemmer and the rears are Nitto nt555 G2's... Perfect combination!
I'm defo getting the DWS06 as my new all seasons on my BMW X5! Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 🤘🏻
Did you get them ? if yes, what has. been your experience with them on the x5?
Just got the DWS06🙌🏻🙌🏻
Got mine new, balanced, and mounted for 130 out the door on 2.
(They only had two but I'll be getting a set to replace the rear continental contact)
Where did you get yours?
This tire is one of 4 that I am looking into Great explanation on the specifics on this particular tire thanks .
I'm going to try these on my Subaru this fall. My pirelli p zero ultra high performance tires were awful in the snow. Decent wear life though.
Dronethat, thanks for sharing, just got them for a friend as well who is moving up to Canada. Cheers!
Thanks, most informative! Made me decide to put this tire on my 2016 BMW Z4 sDrive 28i instead of the Firestone Firehawk INDY 500.
Does the Firestones come with any warranty at all?

@@ronhay1838 ok thanks will check it 💯
thanks for the review getting these for my BMW 😍
I put them in my 2015 650i Gran Coupe and I love them! They ride so great and such great performance
You sold it to me within the first minute 😂👍🏽
lol :) let us know if you need assistance in getting the, can call us here at 714.582.3330 or sales@modbargains.com
Agreed, if you are doing real snow conditions you need snow tires. Good advice
@@Modbargains-google-plus Thank you for the acknowledgment. I just bought the Continentals, they’re fantastic. On those noisy concrete highways they are whisper silent. Great all around tire, drove in a rainstorm too and they performed beautifully in wet too.
That's it I'm buying em for my WRX!
Killabee-23 bruh just ordered some for mine. How are they?
My DWS06 have HORRIBLE vibration issues due to flat spotting. It does not matter if there are road force balanced or ran at higher pressures. I cannot stand them. I have sent 2 sets sent back to tirerack and the issue always is there. It's an odd size 245/45/17 but still, a tire should balance! It's driven me insane.
Same problem on 2010 Mercedes benz s550!! Going for 3rd balance
I got these tires, very good. However, if you drive on a road with rain groves, they will track a lot. So much that you actually have to adjust your steering. Other than that I recommend this tire, I will buy again for my other car when needed. Thanks.
Probably better than the Goodyear F1 runflats on my Camaro. I'm just waiting to wear those tires out before replacing them though.
Great description. I may purchase them tomorrow. I'm in Canada...eh. lol and this would be perfect for me.
Just got these on my 335i n55. Very good
nice congrats, come back when you'be built up some miles to give us your feedback!
Installing them on my bmw love what I’m hearing
I have these tires on my S4. They don't perform as well as the summer tires in the summer, DUH! I'm still waiting to hit my first snow storm. :)
Just purchased a set the best tires 🙌 down
I just ordered a set of these for my 03 Harley davidson F150
Great Video and very informative! Thank You!
I bought these for my e46 not knowing they were this good
Indeed they are a very solid tire choice.
Only time want to kick snow out is if it isn’t snow but rather slush as slush is 50/50 water and ice and just doesn’t stick well to itself and having those huge channels and sweeping grooves in middle will defiantly help evacuate slush in warmer winters and water from rain in summers
I am considering these tires for my car, their are fantastic price currently, and seem to be a somewhat worthy legit 4 season tire.
Excellent review!
These tires are awesome on my hemi 392
I’m about to slap these on mine also 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Have you used it in light snow?
@@Vultite yea they hold up well no matter what’s on the road rain or light snow.
Mike, i was looking at this tire and the General Tire G-Max AS 05. Which one do you prefer as the better all-round tire between both of them?
23k and im about 4/32 tread left mostly highway on a 06 Merc E350 equal treadwear, planning on replacing with something else
I put these tires on my 2017 STI
Awesome tire
Amazing review. I'm about to purchase these for my SS camaro
I just did. F1 Super Eagles are no joking matter in the snow!! They can get away from you in a split second without even accelerating, decelerating, or downshifting at speeds as low as 30mph. Those F1's should only come as an option, Not a standard feature!!
About to buy these. No moee burnout for me. These suckers arent cheap
But will a summer tire be quieter than then DWS06?
Speaking from personal experience, the summer tires were quieter. Although the DWS06 big improvement in tire noise from their older version.
Oh snap, your in La Habra.
Yes we are! 1721 E. Lambert Road, Across the train tracks from Home Depo lol. Come on by and check us out in person we don't bite.
Please get on the #topsnappodcast .. We will get the Chevy SS Sedan done #ssholdencar at your shop. We are going with CONTI DWS DRY WET SNOW this week.!
i paid $120 for a set of these with 35 miles on them, they were pulled off a totaled car, extremely happen with them.
I am very happy with these tires in my CAMARO
So.. how do you check your alignment with the feature it came with?
I think he didn't explain how to use it..
Does anyone know?
looks just like little wear marks if the wear is even they will all look the same if you can see one side has one wear then the other you need a alignment
Very little rim protection vs Michelin A/S 3+ ... Expecting curb damage to wheels. Glad only bought 2
Learn to park your ride and that won't happen 😉
I got the Michelins now and they barely provide any rim protection.
Good review, I currently have these and I’m not 100% confident in the rain. How would the GoodYears Exhilarates UHP all Seasons stack up against these?
How is the noise on this tire?
