Variegated snake plants are not propergated through leaf cutting as the variegation reverts. You are only able to do this through root division to guarantee 100% stable variegation.

YAY i’m so excited to see a snake plant video, people always write these plants off as needing zero care but they can flourish and be so happy when you do care for them 🥺 keep it up!!!

I never waite for my propogations to root. I leave them in water for a few weeks and then put them directly in soil. I have 100 percent success rate that way. I used to waite for them to root in water and would loose like 50 percent of them to rot. Just be very careful on the watering once in soil.

Great info! I found my snake plant cuttings rooted much faster in Leca with a lot of light. I could not believe how many roots there were in just 6 weeks. I cut them in Nov 2020 and now the plant is in soil with three pups poking up!

OMG I was just looking at my snake plant feeling like it could be better. there's wrinkles and the stems are so easily bendable! I knew something was off because every time I encounter a snake plant at the store it's really tough and not bendable. I wonder if my roots are dry too. I'm going to definitely take a look today and not lose hope in him :) Thank you for this! Love your content, you have a great little quirky personality and I love it! :)

I've never had success with rooting snake plants in water. They've always rotted even if I let them callous over. I personally like to just stick the leaf cutting directly into soil and in a few weeks, there's roots and about a month later, pups start coming out.

I recently discovered your amazing channel and I've just been binge watching all of your videos! 🌱💗 In fact, I just bought a snake plant yesterday so the timing of finding this video is amazing 😁
Could you please do a Banana plant (Musa) video as well, I had a beautiful one that got like 4 little babies. Only, after I took them out and repotted them the mother plant turned brown and died really so quickly. There did grow some new babies that seem to be doing fine but I'm afraid they won't survive if I leave them all in the same pot.. I'd love to hear some tips on watering, light, humidity and repotting/propagating because I feel like I'm doing everything wrong 😅

  • @spoodad3850

Seriously, if you kill a snake plant, you should not have plants. There's a well known saying: one snake plant is one too many.
Only rabbits and rats propagate faster. Word of advice, never plant snake sansevieria if not in a confined area. They are great,
I mean great plants to have inside of the house. They will clean the air from toxic substances, like no other plant can do.
