This tripod has been a gem to use my first 3 years going into filming for a fully stocked production company, And they constantly tell me to bring it along to hold up some SOLID FX6’s for interviews. Solid review 🖖🏾
I watched your intro edit like 10 times, it's so good! and not cringe like so many others. Would love to see an editing tutorial of how to make something in that style!! Thanks for the info too. Cheers
Not under $100 and I wouldn't trust anything heavy on it but I just bought a little manfrotto be free (I think that's what it was called) to test out for destination weddings and save me from bringing three big tripods and it's pretty awesome haha - Bobby
I’m also curious about this. I called adorama/ flashpoint and they didn’t know. The 502 is flat and the 65mm standard that manfrotto uses would not work in this 3pod. The 3pod uses a rare 50mm bowl. Update: 75mm half ball will work and judging by the video I believe Jarid is using the 65mm half ball that came with the 502a. He seems to have the 502a( with half ball, not flat).
Update: I just purchased this and there’s no easy way to replace the head unless you can find a 50mm half ball adapter. Of course you could remove the 3/8 bolt and nut from the existing ball and insert it into a flat fluid head like the 502 he mentioned, but that would be difficult. I have no idea how this guy replaced the head. However, given he hasn’t answered this question from anyone on this comment section, I imagine he used an adapter. If you notice in the video, he is using a completely different locking handle than what’s included with the tripod. It appears he could be using a larger half ball adapter than 50mm, such as 60mm or 65mm. That being said, if anyone here is interested in the legs and not the fluid head included, go elsewhere. This RUclipsr may be recommending replacing the fluid head with a manfrotto, but do at your own risk. This isn’t easy.
Thanks for the great info! Amazon tripod now $129.00. The 500 series Manfrotto is $239.00 Adorama. It looks pretty solid! Will the baseplate on the K2 fit the C100?
I'm From Germany and this tripod will not be shipping to Germany. Did u know if there is a German version of it. Maybe it will be sell3d under a different name or so? Thx 😁
I have been debating getting another full size tripod as I only have the Switchpod right now and this might just do the trick. Great price point and also nice to get a fluid head with it. Great recommendation! Thanks!
@@WaywardNorth one last question. I have the M50 and it’s a pain in the butt to always have to unscrew the quick release set up to get the battery and SD card slot open. Is there a rig that I can set up that would be easier to remove my SD card? I have the plug in battery now so I don’t have to keep changing that. Just the Sd card when I want to download my footage.
Jarid, it looks like you will need an adapter for this setup. Therefore, it would be more than the $200 dollars you mentioned at the time of the video publication. Now, it is $130 for the tripod and $170 for the 502. However, you also need to factor in the extra cost of the adapter for your subscribers. I think it’s only fair that tell your viewers what bowl adapter you are using because 50mm doesn’t exist. Thanks.
@@Andrew-kj5lh I purchased a 65mm and it works. My 75mm Sachler also works, albeit on the heavier side. This may be an issue for these light legs. It may make more sense to get a good 75mm bowl for future proofing any other sticks you get in the future, but you also have to account for the weight against the legs. Adorama recommended the 75mm, but I end up with the smallest one possible for longevity. I believe Jarid has the 75mm that came with the 502A head.

One of my favorites! Thanks so much!
This looks like the solution I've been looking for! Thanks for the great insight.
Thanks so much! Love this tripod so much!

I have heard good things about the Befree! You'll have to do a review for us.
I use this same model tripod for both my wedding videography business and my in studio recording. By far best bang for the buck tripod you can get.
Mactrem all day for recording gigs at pubs and venues. Cheap to replace when they get smashed...
seems this tripod is no longer available. cannot find it on amazon
Found one here: amzn.to/3BEpz2A or you can also find it on Adorama's website here: www.adorama.com/fp3pv3ah.html
@@WaywardNorth thank you 🙏
what half ball adapter did you use for this fluid head to attach to the tripod? Thanks

This pricing is great. I wish I would have gotten a tripod with a bowl for leveling. It's cheaper to buy this tripod than the bowl from manfrotto lol.
Haha I know right! Can't beat this deal!
i still don't get how you have only 3K subs. You deserve more
Thanks so much! One day :)
@@WaywardNorth well.. you have all. gear, ideas, knowledge and heart. make more videos and you are in

Is there any alternative to this tripod in Australia. I'm unable to get it to deliver to Australia.
Navigating the locking knobs??
Thaank You!!
Om so can I put a ioptron sky guider on this
Hey bro. Fantastic video. Love your explanations. How do you feel about monopods for weddings?
Thanks so much! I love em, have a few manfrotto monopods and they are extremely useful
Is this one also for smartphone?
Can it hold like an iPhone on it
You will need an iPhone mount or quick release plate to attach but I don’t see why not!
how tall does it adjust too? I couldnt find that anywhere
Estimated guess about 5 Ft 6 inches? Im 5"10 and it comes up to my chin lol. I dont have a tape measure handy but should be close! Hope this helps

Haha Jcrew! They might still have some in stock!

$160 now
Yeah looks like they went up :( Still a good deal currently.
You did too much of a talking head video. Show the product more. Use it instead of just talking about it.
Thanks for the feedback 🙏
