Great idea and well executed. But I want to keep the weight of my portable band saw OFF od those two screws threaded into cast aluminum. Breakage waiting to happen. Still trying to figure that out. Built a stand that uses support under body/frame of port band to help support, but want a vise or weld table mount. Still tinkering to find a way that supports weight of saw and relieves as much pressure as possible on those two screws
@@codybyrum6144 its a safety power tool switch, I went through a lot of stupid ways to say it before I got close and snow balled from there. rocker makes one for $30
the whole saw is held by clamping the extendable blade guide? i see you took the bottom guard so that you could clamp closer to the center of gravity, but is there anything else holding it that I'm not seeing?
I like the stand but here comes devils advocate time. Holding the saw just off the guide that it's fasteners are only designed to hold the guide bracket not the weight of the saw plus any forces that might occured from the saw bouncing or catching onto material, 2nd having the saw blade mounted like that you lost what looks like 1/2" of cutting head space? I really like the build just wish you had 2 fixed points of holding the saw. Let me know how it goes long term I hope nothing bad happens. Looks really good.
Hey man. I really appreciate your comment. Yes, different fixture points would be cool, but this is the best the saw offers. So far, everything holds up quite well and works as supposed to 😊
Just wondered how wide was the slot you cut for the blade, and what the thickness of the steel for the table was? Great vide0....just what I've been looking for :-)
You`re welcome! The thickness of the table is 15 mm and the slot was cut with a thin cutting disc on an angle grinder, so it's about 1,2 mm wide. Have fun makeing!
Just what I was looking for! Also loving those knipex wrench pliers. How do you like them? Thanks for the build video I am going to be building one just like it for my dad for fathers day.
i just bought a bandsaw similar to yours. This is the ultimate stand in quality and with that clever extra of a grinder / tool holder. Will build this kind of stand in the next days. And do not be sad, the chinese said that copying a master is learning from a master ✌️👍🇩🇪

Love it great work.
Best stand built I have seen. Thanks
You're very welcome!

I hope you can find a clever solution as you desire 😀
You cannot get any simpler than that. Simple and very attractive.
Thanks!
where can I find a motor on/off switch like the one in this video?
depends on your country. I recommend the good old google research 😉
I have with no luck lol

What button plug is that?
Hey, I found your channel at random! I just built a bandsaw stand today.
Idea for the future that has been a great help on the one I built....etch angles on the cut table
This is awesome! Well done!
Now I gotta redo the one , I already made ... 😆 gr8 build and vid
Thanks man. I really appreciate it!
Where did you get the inline switch?

Hi, you're right. It's just clamped to the bottom guard and works perfectly fine since I built it.

@@mb_art_official awesome. If it works it works 😁
Any chance you can show how you stored your metal vertically? I'm very interested.
Just stacked it and spaced it with wrenches...
I forgot to say what a Great job you did.👍👍. What brand chop saw do you have and do you like it?
@@Robocoppat Thanks! The chop saw is a no name brand and it cuts an OK quality on the angles. The expensive saw blades are a bit of a downer...

Knipex is worth the cost
Thanks man. Love the Knipex :-)

Well the Chinese copy everything so guess they must follow their own mantra.
What blade is the one you used in the chop saw?
It's a special metal cutting chop saw with lower blade velocity. And it's a dedicated metal cutting blade.
@@mb_art_official Can you provide me the brand, model number of blade?

Steel, brass, aluminium etc.
That thing would survive a direct nuclear bomb strike.
Thanks. Hope it won't have to prove it 😅
Well done🤟🏻
Thank you!
I gave a thumbs up just for the music choice
😀
This stand looks like it would survive a nuclear bomb!! That thing is heavy duty!!
Thanks Mate! It already survived a lot of heavy duty work ;-)
very nice
