I painted this using your tutorial! I loved doing it. It was my first rooster and my first time using a palette knife for an entire painting I believe. I ended up then painting my rooster, Pita, that we have here on our little chicken farm. Thank you for sharing this! 💙
I got to be the first to view and like this on my birthday! Thanx for exploring the different technique. I am trying to "loosen up" my painting style and something along these lines might be helpful. I just cant understand why you dont have more subscribers yet!! Keep at it, you are appreciated
Hey Sarah, thanks for the comments. Yes, my channel is slowly plugging along, but that is what it takes it seems if you are not paying someone to promote it, haha. Relatively speaking, my channel is not that old, and does not have tons of videos yet, but I am getting there. Once you top the 1000 sub mark, things seem to start picking up steam. I am doing the paintings in studio regardless so I figure I might as well film them and post them to put here for others. I have certainly benefited from watching others paint on RUclips so maybe I can contribute back to the cause. Happy painting, and thanks again.
Canvas was bought, didn't make it myself. Interesting thing about art, each artist can create a piece however they want, in this case I did blend the initial background layer with several colors, then intentionally let it dry between layers because I did not want to blend them. My choice on this piece, you can paint however makes you happy. Not sure what camera trickery you are referring to, filmed from start to finish and added some voice over in a few areas, that was all. Happy painting!
Rhue, sorry about the volume issues. I'm not really sure what happened with the background levels as the editing software I used and computer I was on had the background music very low. On certain devices it still sounds low but others it is much louder. I have taken the feedback from you and others to apply to videos moving forward. Happy painting!
3 things I love when painting. Roosters, palette knife and texture. Tick, tick and tick on this tutorial. I love it. Thank you for sharing.
Checked all 3 boxes, haha very nice. I don't do a lot of palette knife but the rooster happened to be one of them. Glad you enjoyed that one.

Awesome Heather, thanks for sharing and so glad to hear this.
Love this video. Cool technique!!!!!!😊
Thanks! I have only done a few paintings with the knife, this one probably was the one I liked the best. I'm probably due to try another!
Like your rooster Bardon. I like the your use of colors and the pallet knife, pretty realistic.
Thanks Linda!
Thank you Brandon. It is stunning as always. Also love the tehnique

👍👍👍
mm camera trickery. why didn't you stretch your canvas properly? and you waited for every color to dry before applying the next? no blending?

too bad the background music was too loud... missed so much of what was said
