If Cloudy isn't going to be racing anymore I would suggest getting him a more supportive saddle, but well done to you guys for making the right decision. It isn't always the easiest thing to do to give up riding a horse you love, but thank you for taking Cloudy's welfare into consideration xx

Cloudy's current saddle is basically a glorified bareback pad- it has no flocking or gullet meaning that much of the rider's weight sits on his spine. Plus the stirrup bar has no tree to connect to so ends up concentrating pressure on the wither area. There are plenty of small pony saddles available with gullets and padding which I think would be more comfortable for both Cloudy and Harlen as it would support both of them better.

I'm not hating, I'm just glad that they made the right decision and want them to succeed. ♥

Harlow has done an amazing job riding and racing Cloudy! It’s very nice seeing Harlen learning to ride a reliable horse like Cloudy. I would suggest him learning more about his balance in the trot, and really implementing his seat before learning the canter. He is doing a fantastic job though! Such an adorable video, and a generous sister for handing down one of her ponies to little brother. Can we please teach Harlen squeezes instead of massive kicks tho, I keep flinching every time he whollops Cloudy's sides haha, I know that's common to teach little kids (especially in riding schools), but pls, lets teach squeezes and leg pressure so pony doesn't become dead to his leg.

Giving up a pony is sad but we all outgrow them and it’s better to give them to someone new then to try to keep riding them when they are too small. And it was so funny how amazed harlen was abt putting on The halter lol! Also Harlow is doing such an amazing job teaching harlen

Harlen is doing amazing but I would like to see him tack and untack him and I think cloudy would look great in a western saddle

Message for Harlow: you have done so well with clouds and i will assure you Harlen will take amazing care of him, and its so nice of you too step down with cloudy so Harlen can have a pony!! I know its not just that but even though you cant race him and stuff like that he will still be with you!! You guys are so lucky that you have 3 beautiful ponys, i dont even have a pony/horse yet lol. But you have done so well with him, his stamina and him jumping has gotten alot better! It wouldve been so hard too go do races and shows with Popcorn and Rolo 😂❤. As always, take care of yourself! Although you might not see this but it gives me motovation a bit ❤❤!!
